Rose felt the conviction the moment the book that masqueraded as a history book leave her and find Cora. Rose unlocked the spell on it that made it lie dormant for so many years.
The destined person will never change. Rose was just a person who was a temporary home to that book. It was intriguing how the book didn't choose Asher. Anyway, that wasn't her issue to peruse.
"I'll go now. There are people waiting for me, I guess."
