"This pervert..."
Xia Lu muttered to herself as she nestled in the tiger chair, wearing only a thin nightgown, feeling the chill and hugging her shoulders.
"What did you say?"
She was startled to find that Zhou Mingchen was still awake.
"Nothing... I didn't say anything..."
"If you're cold, you can come to bed," Zhou Mingchen patted the quilt beside him, "after all, my bed is very big."
"I'd rather not..." Xia Lu muttered under her breath, preferring death over sharing a bed with this man.
"Don't touch my things, I really will get angry," Zhou Mingchen said sternly from the bed.
Xia Lu was surprised that he had realized she wanted to temporarily warm herself with his clothes, a thought she hadn't acted on yet and had already dismissed.
"I'm saying," Zhou Mingchen spoke again after a few seconds of silence, "we're married now. Regardless of the past reasons, you are now my lawful wife, and there are some duties you ought to fulfill."
"What?" Xia Lu looked at him.
