"Uncle Lin, Auntie, I should be going now," Zhou Mingchen stood up, still vividly remembering the last time he was forced to apologize to Lu Zuo and certainly not wanting a repeat of that experience.
To his surprise, Lin Zhi grabbed his arm. "Eh? Have you already forgotten what we just discussed? You're like my own son. I know I've caused you a lot of trouble recently, but you must stay for dinner today."
"Dinner is ready." The housekeeper came out of the dining room and called everyone to the table.
Zhou Mingchen had no choice but to nod.
"Come on, eat up," Lin Zhi added a chopstick-full of food to Zhou Mingchen's bowl. "We're all family here; please don't be shy."
On the other side of the table, Lu Zuo looked extremely awkward, and Lin Xilin, turning her head towards him, noticed.
"Don't mind it. My dad has always been close to Achen," she whispered in explanation.
