Walking through the city they gathered a lot of attention, especially Fei Fei and Anna.
One was a beautiful mature woman and the other one was a pretty young lady with red hair that attracted a lot of attention.
Selling their beasts earned them a lot of money and Paul as well as Fei Fei decided to give it all to Anna as she was the only one without any funds of her own.
The girl protested at first and tried to reject the idea until Paul admitted to having over three million gold coins as well as the means to earn a lot more if he ever needed it Fei Fei also told her that she had more than enough money and even if she lived lavishly for a hundred years, she would not be able to spend it all.
This was a bit of an exaggeration but Anna got the message.
After they sold the beasts they enjoyed walking from one shop to another.
-I wish there was some hair dye.
Anna said once they left the alchemy shop where they bought some pills and potions.
-Why? I like your hair just the way they are.
Paul asked.
-I also like my hair but they bring way too much attention and if you have forgotten they are not a good omen in this world.
The girl explained.
-Well if you really want to change your hair color then all you need to do is ask.
He said with a smile.
-Don't tell me that you have a hair dye on you.
Anna said in surprise.
-I don't, and I have never even heard about a hair dye in this world but I know a spell that can change the hair color for some time.
Anna looked at him like he had just grown a second head.
-Why didn't you tell me that sooner?
She asked, irritated.
If she knew about it then she would have asked him to change her hair color a long time ago.
-I didn't think that it was so important to you.
Paul admitted.
-What color do you want your hair to be?
He asked with an apologetic expression.
-I'd like to have dark hair like most people around here.
This will let me blend in and not attract so much attention to myself.
Anna said.
-As you wish.
Paul said and a moment later an energy ball the size of a glass marble dropped from his finger onto her head.
The moment the energy made contact with her hair, it started to turn black, and a few seconds later she was a brunette.
Anna was surprised and happy at the same time.
-Do you have a spell that would allow the hair to grow faster?
She asked with a bit of expectation.
-Sorry I don't have this kind of spell but if you want we can go to the scroll shop to see if there is something like that.
Paul shook his head.
Anna was a bit disappointed.
She was always jealous of Fei Fei's and the other women's long hair when her own barely reached her shoulders.
Hearing about the scroll shop she smiled and nodded.
Paul smiled at that, he knew that Anna was always conscious of her looks and they had to go to the scroll shop anyway to get some battle techniques for Anna and himself.
-I do not need any spells or techniques for now.
Fei Fei said when they asked her about it.
-I have been here for a long time and I know most if not all of the spells for my affinities.
At least the ones in this world but when we go up then maybe I will find something interesting.
When they entered the store it was way bigger then the ones than the ones they had seen till now and every shelf was packed full of scrolls and books categorized by their affinity or effect.
Paul and Anna went to look for the scrolls that they were interested in while Fei Fei waited for them at the counter.
Twenty minutes later Anna found five archery techniques and two dagger techniques she wanted to learn while Paul found some spell books that he had never seen before and some sword techniques that looked interesting.
When they brought their scrolls and books to the counter the girl that was working there was shocked at the amount of books they wanted to buy.
-You know that these are not cheap?
She asked just to be sure as the total amount was Quite a sum.
-I know but I also don't care.
Paul answered.
He had more than enough money to buy these books and a few thousand more if he wanted to.
Playing the rich young master was always a good idea when he was shopping as people tend to be more cooperative that way.
At the end of the day, no one wanted to piss off someone rich or influential.
-The total price would be 1240 gold coins for all the books and scrolls.
The girl said in a professional tone.
She was not offended by Paul's words since she had always dealt with some rich young master who wanted a technique or a spell and often would argue with her about the price.
To her surprise, Paul took out the money and even asked her to count it on the spot so that there would be no problems.
This made her smile.
-He might be a rich young master but at least he has some common sense.
She thought to herself.
A few moments later the money was counted and it turned out that there was an extra gold coin.
-You can keep it as a reward for your good work.
Paul said and burst into laughter a moment later when he saw the cashier girl's expression.
He liked being generous in this life since he had no opportunity for it in the previous one and the girl's expression of the fish pulled out of the water was just too funny for him.
The girl was so shocked because this gold coin was more than her salary for three months.
-Thank you.
She muttered once she got her voice back.
- Have a nice day.
Paul said and they left the shop.
-Did you find the spell that Anna was looking for?
Fei Fei asked once they were back on the street.
-Yes, I did but I will first need to master it before casting it on her.
Paul said showing the scroll in his hand.
He didn't say that he wanted to cast it on himself as well since he missed the long hair he had in his previous life.
-Arent you happy Anna, you will have your long hair soon.
Fei Fei asked and only then did they realize that Anna was missing.
They turned around just to find her talking with a girl who was selling something at the side of the street.
Paul also saw a group of young men going in their direction and they were clearly looking for trouble.
