Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

During the evening of that day, while I was sitting down under a tree and practicing drawing the night sky in my drawing book, I heard a notification alert from my phone. When I checked it, I saw a message from Justin.

The message reads. "Meet me in the college fashion department, at workshop number 23."

After reading the message my heart started pounding, I thought Justin was done with me so why was he contacting me out of the blue, I could not help it that time but to enter into a frenzy of random thoughts filling my brain.

With slight hesitation, I started walking to the place Justin asked me to meet up with him, inside of me, a feeling of guilt started to form, I was thinking that perhaps I was the cold one for not contacting Justin first, maybe I exaggerated when I started thinking that Justin only saw me as an errand girl.

Seven minutes after I started walking towards the Fashion department, I arrived at the workshop room 23 Justin asked me to meet up with him.

While holding my drawing book in one hand, I knocked at the door in front and then opened it immediately, I shyly walked inside the workshop without having a proper sense of what to expect.

would it be Just a normal conversation session or something more?

The workshop is well-organized. At the center of the room, a mannequin is elegantly draped in a midi dress. Neatly lined along one wall are sewing machines, accompanied by racks of clothing sorted by color and style above them. In the corner, Justin is seated beside a large desk covered in sketches and designs.

He was wearing a white button-down shirt that was tucked into a pair of black trousers.

Upon entering, the white walls and high ceiling combine to create a sense of spaciousness, making me feel smaller than I was.

Before I settled down in the workshop, Justin suddenly started apologizing to me.

"I am sorry," he said, lifting his face to look at me.

Before I could respond to his apology, he directed me to sit on a chair stationed beside the mannequin doll, he then pulled out a small golden paper bag from a cupboard in the room, and after that, he stood in front of a sewing machine directly in front of me and rested his waist on it, he then started talking to me again.

He said "You have been a great help to me while I was lying on my clinic bed and unable to walk properly.

"You have bought so many things for me and you did not even collect payments from me. As a token of my appreciation, over the past week, I have been working on a dress for you, and today I have finished sewing it. It is a gift from me, please take it, it would make me happy."

Justin proceeded to hand over the golden bag to me, I gently collected it and looked inside it, I saw a red dress with a lot of patterns made with black materials on it.

Even though I did not pull out the dress to have a proper look at it, I could sense the effort Justin must have placed into making the dress, especially for me.

I looked back at Justin's face, "Thank you for making the dress for me," I said.

I was not able to hide my red blushing face, it was clear to anyone who looked at it, that I was excited and beyond happy.

Before I even begin to read the intentions behind Justin giving me a dress. He did something I would have never thought in my wildest dreams he would do.

He casually pulled out a red rose from a small rectangular box he was holding. The soft glow from the workshop lights illuminated his face as he extended the rose towards me.

While holding the rose with one hand and looking directly into my brown eyes, Justin said to me, "I love you Janna from the deepest part of my heart. Would you go out with me?"

A single teardrop of joy escaped from my right eye as I collected the rose. I said yes to Justin without even thinking about it.

At that moment, Justin's eyes sparkled with genuine happiness, and a warm smile spread across his face. His relief was evident as if he had been holding his breath until he heard my response. The vulnerability in his expression hinted at the depth of his feelings.

On that day, the Universe answered my call and granted me my deepest desire, a soulmate I have been waiting for, somebody who would love me for eternity and share the rest of my life with me.

After I collected the red rose from Justin, I quickly left the workshop room in a hurry. My love senses had overheated and my mind couldn't take being in the same room with Justin at that moment.

I wasn't sure what kind of face I was making, but I knew it wasn't the kind of face I wanted Justin to see. It was too embarrassing.

I quickly got back into our campus room and immediately shouted 'yes' out of excitement. Maya wasn't around at that time, so I let my true self out in the most unfiltered form.

I held the red rose and spun around inside the room with my hands spread wide and open. I kept thanking the universe for sending me love. I was so happy and excited that I didn't care who saw me.

I got tired and was forced to lie down on my bed and rest, but a smile was stuck on my face the whole time. I couldn't hide the bliss I was in, getting confessed to by Justin when I least expected it.

I stayed quiet without telling anybody about Justin's proposal till after I had dinner with my trio friends at the college cafeteria, I told them that they should all come to my room that night, and that I had an important announcement to make.

Maya followed me immediately to our room before Lucy and Rika came afterward.
