Chapter 7 - Ch 7: The 'Special' Girl-2

As a new student arrived, the class was enthusiastic about the customary 'Introducing' ritual. All eyes were eagerly fixed on the newcomer, waiting for her to reveal herself.

However, they have yet to get an answer to their question. The new transfer student remained quiet, and her bored expression showed no sign of changing anytime soon.

The teacher must also be getting frustrated because she tried her best not to make an annoyed face. But keeping it entirely seemed to be an impossible task for even the teacher.

"Are you not going to introduce yourself to your new friends, Miss Rose? They are eagerly waiting for you to speak up."

The teacher sounded impatient, but the new student showed none of her desperation.

Instead of following the teacher's advice to introduce herself to the class, the new student walked down the row of desks until she stopped in front of Lisa's desk.

Lisa had not looked up yet, but she could feel the presence of those golden eyes looking at her.

"Oi! The new transfer is standing in front of you. She wants to sit beside me, so hurry up and change seats."

The bully, seated next to Lisa, resorted to physical intimidation, jabbing her leg in an attempt to force her to change seats. Despite the distraction, Lisa remained unfazed.

Lisa was about to get up and change her seat when the bully decided to take the initiative and pinch her arm.

It did not hurt, but the sensation of being pinched was enough to make Lisa yelp out loud.

Her eyes met the golden shade, and she looked at her with interest. But as soon as this eye contact was established, it broke because of the bully's assault.

Lisa got up without speaking and walked toward the back row, where there was always an empty seat.

However, as soon as she took a step to walk, so did the transfer student.

The bully, seconds away from offering Lisa a seat, looked shaken by her decision. He even opened his mouth and reached out to grab the new girl's arm, but the bully was the one who ended up lying on his ass within seconds.

"Miss Rose, is everything alright? Lisa emptied the seat you wanted, so why don't you sit down now? We should begin our humble class now."

The teacher remained polite even when her skin looked as pale as paper. This could only mean one thing—the new girl had enough money and influence to make their teacher grit her teeth and lay low.

On the other hand, the bully could not take this humiliation.

From what Lisa knew about the bully, his father was a university board chairman, and he cherished his son very much.

The bully was a loving child who was given too much power at a young age, and now he likes to abuse it. The only thing the bully had in his favor was the people backing him up.

Lisa looked from the bully to the new girl and then toward their teacher. Her whole class waited for the teacher to decide what happened.

The teacher looked speechless, and her face was full of sweat. However, someone else intervened before the teacher could open her mouth and calm the situation down.

"I want to sit with her. You, take your things and get lost."

The transfer finally spoke up, and her soft, melodious voice left a strong impression on everyone.

However, Lisa's instincts warned her not to fall for the sweet words she heard and the honey-like voice that spoke.

Behind that sweet and powerful voice was a coldness that sent chills down Lisa's spine.

Everything inside Lisa told her that the entity in front of her was not a human and that she needed to run. But a small part of her mind said that this person was familiar.

These conflicting feelings held Lisa in place and made her unable to react. The transfer student grabbed Lisa's wrist before pulling her back to sit beside her.

"It's going to be okay. I am not going to hurt you or let anyone else hurt you. You can put your trust in me."

The transfer student's voice had some charm. Lisa was sure she was using some trick to make her voice feel convincing.

Lisa sat beside the new transfer student even before she knew it.

There was something weirdly mysterious about the new transfer that could enchant anyone. However, Lisa's instincts warned her to stay as far away from the female before her.

'My life is too troublesome without any external interference. I don't think I can handle any more interest in my life. Knowing my luck, it will not be long before people begin bugging me to go on a date.'

After all, the only thing Lisa was famous for in this academy was her 'curse.' She was unsure if the transfer student had heard about her situation yet, but Lisa was sure that her condition would not remain a secret for long.

'I wonder if I will get asked out today. People usually wait a whole time to ask me out after my breakup, but the time of being asked out gets shorter and shorter each time. I think the previous person only waited a week before asking me out.'

As Lisa's infamy grew, so did the greed of people who wanted to use her to find their partners.

That was why Lisa liked to keep a low profile. If Lisa had stood out less, people would not have gossiped about her as much.

However, all her plans are being dashed because of the transfer student. Her presence was too eye-catching for Lisa to be around.

As soon as lunch break came, Lisa decided to make a run for it.

The transfer student had gained enough attention from the students inside her class to be surrounded by them and be interrogated. Lisa wanted to leverage this attention in her favor.

However, things did not happen as Lisa expected.

She was right to expect the new transfer girl to be popular. However, the popularity was going in a different direction than Lisa had expected.

Other students wanted to approach Lisa's desk partner, but her cold gaze kept them at bay.
