I began to explain the Technique of the Crushed King, guiding them on how to harness the Life Essence from the atmosphere. As I spoke, I thought to myself, "The quality of Life Essence here is inferior compared to the Lunaria Continent, where the Hero lives. Even with my current rank of 3, I would be equivalent to a rank 1 in Lunaria. I need to create a new ranking system."
As they started to practice, I gazed at them with an indifferent expression, my eyes seeming to bore into their souls. They both started to form sweat, and a dark, tar-like substance began to seep from their pores. Jang Ran opened his eyes, looking surprised, and I could sense a newfound energy within him. I took his hand, checking the type of core he had formed. "Hmph, Mid Grade," I thought, nodding in approval.
A minute later, Zhao Min opened her eyes, looking puzzled. "I feel something strange," she thought, "what is this feeling?" She looked at me, and I gave her a warm smile. I checked her core, and my eyes widened in surprise. "Semi Mid Grade, with a chance of becoming High Grade," I thought, impressed. "Hehehe, nice harvest..."
I showed them a happy expression, but inside, I remained indifferent. "Average talents, what can I do?" I thought, shrugging to myself. But I knew I had to make the most of it. "From now on, you both are cultivators," I announced, my voice filled with enthusiasm. "And I will make you both the strongest cultivators of this era."
With their cores formed, Jang Ran and Zhao Min began their journey as cultivators. I guided them through the process, teaching them how to harness their Life Essence and cultivate their powers.
Jang Ran proved to be a quick learner. Zhao Min, on the other hand, struggled to keep up.
I watched them with an indifferent gaze, my mind wandering to the Lunaria Continent. I thought about the Hero, wondering what he was doing at that moment.
As the days passed, Jang Ran and Zhao Min grew stronger, their powers increasing with each passing moment. But I knew that this was only the beginning. The path to true cultivation was long and arduous, and they would need to face many challenges along the way.
"Let's see how far they can go," I thought to myself, a hint of curiosity in my voice.
And so, I continued to guide them, pushing them to their limits and beyond. For I knew that only through struggle and hardship could they truly reach their full potential.
Four days had passed since I gained two disciples, but I was still struggling to manage the sect. I had read novels on Earth, but they only focused on fighting and adventure, not on managing a sect. I felt like I was in over my head, like a fish out of water.
"What am I doing?" I thought to myself. "I'm just a guy from Earth, not some kind of sect leader."
Just then, I remembered that Old Man Wang Shin was missing. I had no idea where he was or why he hadn't returned. I felt a pang of worry, wondering if something had happened to him.
"I need to ask Jang Ran," I thought, deciding to seek my disciple's advice.
"Jang Ran, come here," I called out, trying to sound more confident than I felt.
He arrived promptly, bowing deeply. "I greet Elder Fang Lin Kane," he said, his eyes shining with a mixture of respect and curiosity.
I waved my hand, dismissing the formalities. "What should I do to increase the number of disciples in our sect?" I asked, seeking his input.
Jang Ran thought for a moment before responding, "I think you should go to the city and spread the word about our sect, Elder."
I raised an eyebrow, skeptical. "How far is the nearest city?" I asked, thinking to myself, "Please don't say it's too far."
Jang Ran hesitated, thinking before answering, "About one and a half weeks' journey, Elder."
I thought to myself, "He's stupid. Doesn't he know that's too far? We'll never make it." But I didn't say it out loud. Instead, I told Jang Ran to leave and send Qing Yu to me.
As Jang Ran left, he thought to himself, "Qing Yu, my junior sister... I'm coming. Hehehe." He had a strange grin on his face, which made me wonder what was going on in his mind.
Meanwhile, I was thinking, "What happened to him? He looks like he's hiding something. And why did he smile like that?" I shook my head, trying to clear my thoug
hts. I needed to focus on the task at hand.
