In the vast world of Aethoria, a planet just a bit smaller than the sun, Fivty six major unique countries coexist in a delicate balance of power.Almost Each country possesses its own distinct culture, architecture, and most notably, a singular extraordinary ability. These powers range from elemental manipulation to advanced technology, and even mystical forces.
Among these nations is the "Normal" Country, Pacifica, where citizens possess no extraordinary abilities*, (They have 0 Cursed energy/Seki) making them an anomaly in this world of wonders. Much like our own world but like a 1 or 2 decades backward in development but bit front in weapons.
This was where our protagonist, Shinji, was born. However, Shinji's life took a dramatic turn when he developed plant-based powers, making him an outlier in his own homeland. Similarly, Lyra, a fellow citizen, discovered she had space-related abilities. Their newfound powers led to their arrest.
As Shinji and Lyra soon learned, they were not alone in their experiences. Other countries actively sought out individuals with specific powers, integrating them into their societies.
The "Plant" Country, for instance, welcomed those with plant-based abilities, utilizing their skills to cultivate and nurture the land.
On the opposite end of the spectrum lies the Lawless Continent, Khaos, a landmass as vast as Earth, where chaos reigns supreme. Khaos is a realm of unbridled freedom, where individuals with diverse powers roam unfettered, unconstrained by the rules and norms of the other countries.
In between these extremes lies the Plant Country, Verdania, a nation of lush forests, sprawling gardens, and vibrant flora, where citizens harness the power of plants to sustain and nurture their world.
Other notable countries include:
- Aerthys, where citizens can control the skies and winds
- Crystalia, a nation of master crystallographers
- Aquaria, an underwater and shore side nation realm of aquatic magic and technology
- Infernia, a land of fire and flames, where citizens wield pyromancy
- And many more, each with its own unique power and culture
Aethoria's immense size and diverse landscapes have given rise to a rich tapestry of cultures, powers, and ideologies, setting the stage for an epic struggle between order and chaos, normalcy and abnormality.
Most citizens of each nations do not posses any great abilities and can use more than of any great use.
Ex : Grass people who can create only a single seed exist. (They have low mana/Seki/Cursed energy)
The citizens of Pacifica, the "Normal" Country, live in a state of blissful ignorance, unaware of the true nature of the world beyond their borders. They have zero mana. Their government and media present a sanitized version of reality, downplaying the existence of extraordinary powers and the complexities of Khaos. They call the energy used by this power as Cursed energy but usually it is known across Aethoria as "Seki" or "mana" in some cases. Though every country has their own name for it.
Pacificians believe:
1. Their country is the epitome of civilization and order.
2. The rest of the world is either similarly "normal" or too distant to matter.
3. Extraordinary powers are myths or rare anomalies.
4. Khaos is a distant, lawless land, but not a threat to their way of life.
This ignorance is maintained through:
1. Strict control of information and media.
2. Limited access to education and knowledge about the outside world.
3. Encouragement of a culture focused on internal affairs and domestic issues.
4. Fear of the unknown, perpetuated by the government to maintain control.
Only a select few in Pacifica, such as:
1. High-ranking government officials.
2. Members of secret organizations.
3. Individuals with personal connections to the outside world.
are aware of the truth, and even they may not fully comprehend the intricacies of Aethoria's complex world. This ignorance keeps Pacifica's citizens in a state of comfortable complacency, unaware of the epic struggles and wonders that lie beyond their borders.
In the immense world of Aethoria, the delicate balance between order and chaos, normalcy and the extraordinary, is constantly threatened. With Shinji and Lyra now caught in the crossfire of powers they barely understand, their journey will take them far from the familiar streets of Pacifica and into the heart of a world on the brink of change. As they navigate the complexities of Aethoria, they will discover that their powers are not just anomalies, but keys to a much larger conflict that could reshape the entire planet.
A/N : I know that this is not even a chapter of the story that aside feel free to ask any questions regarding their world I can answer them.
