Shinji Nakamura, a 16-year-old high school student with a passion for botany, is thrust into turmoil when he discovers his latent plant-based powers. Despite his father’s pressure to follow a government career, Shinji's world unravels due to relentless bullying and a crushing academic environment. 

After a violent outburst driven by his powers, Shinji, along with his childhood friend Lyra, is captured by the authorities. Their escape is complicated by a rebel group led by Kaito Akatsuki. Amidst the chaos, Shinji falls into the ocean and is rescued by Takeshi, a skilled warrior from the lawless continent of Khaos. Takeshi, now known as Gorthok, becomes Shinji's ally and mentor.

As Shinji recuperates and trains under Gorthok’s guidance, he grapples with his newfound abilities and the fragmented memories of his recent past. He learns of the wider world beyond his "normal" country, Pacifica, and vows to find his friends, Kaito and Lyra, while navigating the dangers and opportunities presented by his powers.
