Anna and I got dressed for the evening she was in a red dress that we had picked out at the mall, she was so scared to put it on but I had made sure it hid her scars, she had strap heels to match I had on a mint green tulle dress to go with my hair while looking like "A Goddess" as Anna put it. We made our way downstairs to the front of the house where it seemed the entire pack had been assembled to see me. I took Annas hand and held it tightly so she couldn't leave me alone. As we walked out together down the front steps I saw Dom slack jawed at the beauty on my arm. I had curled Annas hair and put a small amount of makeup on her to accentuate what she already had and it apparently had the desired effect because I watched as his eyes shifted back and forth at the sight of his mate. I hoped that this would be the push she needed to believe that he did in fact want her.
I let go of her hand to send her to Dom just as I noticed Leo coming towards me, he was wearing slacks and a white business shirt that had the top 3 buttons undone and I found myself wanting to rip it apart the rest of the way but I contained myself. He took my hand and started the Luna Ceremony. He gave a long speech talking about the history of our pack and the first Luna. He paused as he looked at me as if he was searching for something in my eyes before he continued: In fact, Lilly, is a special Luna and I know all of you have witnessed this! The crowed murmured and I could see the nodding their heads.
"What are you doing Leo, I thought you didn't want to tell them tell we know more?"
"I don't think that's necessary, in fact it would be more beneficial to tell them so we have more people protecting you." He continued: We found out what makes Lilly special, she is a Prime Wolf, for those of you who don't know what that is, she has the genes from the first Werewolves to exist which makes her royalty. She needs to be protected, I ask you here and now, will you accept her as your Luna and as your Princess and do you vow to serve and protect her with your lives if need be? Every one of them bent the knee and bowed their head showing their acceptance of me.
Leo turned towards me and added: Princess Lilly? Do you accept the position as Luna in the White Forest Pack and do you promise to serve and protect your pack members with your life if need be. I fell to my knees and bowed my head making the crowed gasp: I accept the responsibility as Luna and promise to serve and protect my pack member till the day that I die.
I stood and the entire pack stood with me erupting in howls and cheers. They ran towards me and lifted me up to their shoulders. I heard Princess Lilly this and Princess Luna that, all I could do is look to Leo who I could kill at this moment and use our mind link to say: Really? Luna was enough, why the fuck did you tell them I'm a princess? He smiled at me and responded: Well Princess, the more they love you, the more they'll protect you.
"I don't want the getting hurt just to protect me?" I glared at him but he just kept a small smile on his lips, his eyes becoming intense as they locked with mine and he said: I will not lose you, no matter what,
The crowd had finally calmed after they let me down and I returned to Leos side. I was angry that he claimed I was a Princess without even speaking to me first and I probably would have argued with him about it had I not had a hot searing pain drive down my spine as if someone took a knife out of a fire and severed all of the nerves away from either side of my spine. I screamed out in pain and fell to my knees as Leo fell with me, he could feel my pain like before an he growled as his eyes turned pitch black and his canine extended, the crowed around us watched in horror as we started to transition together, him having to endure every painful break and or relocation of my bones, the process for a born Werewolf would be seconds but for a human turned it was long and painful, and watching Leo go through it with me made me scream out in anger, I watched as my claws extended and retracted several times, I could feel my canines do the same, my whole body was on fire and it felt like it had been hours of my body breaking and being put back together again I started to lay down and sob from the pain when I heard Lorna speak: Lilly don't lay down, get back up, If you give in to the pain it could kill you and Leo as well. I replied but out loud: Tell me what to do!
"Get up, get angry, think about Anna and what was done to her. Think about Sam and how her father treated her. Think about how much you love Leo and how hurt you will be if he dies." That did it, I channeled all of my pain into the anger that had been building for the past few days and sat up and took Leo's hand in mine as he was writhing in pain on the ground, the pack around us was silent minus a few members who called out words of encouragement as I struggled to shift when I finally felt all of the pain leave my body at once and it felt as if I had slid out of my body and into a new one, but I still felt like myself. I could hear the pack cheering and I turned to see Leo's wolf, I felt relieved that he shifted with me.
