"Fair enough" I took her hand and motioned for her to lead the way. We walked up to Dom and Anna's room but she wasnt there, we went to the game room and it was the same: Maybe she shifted with Dom?
Lilly looked at me, her face stern and shook her head: No I dont think so.
I motioned for her to wait for a moment and mind linked Dominick.
"Dom, is Anna with you?"
"No, she said she wasn't feeling good, why?
"Lilly had planned on shifting with her so we were just curious, is she okay?"
"To be honest I don't know, this is the second time she wasn't feeling good right before shifting together, I'm actually starting to wonder if there is something she isn't telling me"
"Meet us at the pack house"
I told Lilly what Dom said but she didnt seem surprised she just turned and headed toward to dining hall, as we walked in we saw Anna sitting at the table near the kitchen, she had changed into pajamas and was drinking coffee and quietly sobbing.
"Anna?" Lilly spoke quietly but it was as if an alarm went off, Anna flinched and jumped out of her seat causing it to fling to the ground behind her: It's okay, its just us.
Anna sighed and turned to pick up her chair as she apologized, we sat beside her at the table. There were a few minutes of silence before Lilly asked me to make her a cup of coffee and in our mind link explained that she thought she could get her to open up with me not directly next to her.
"Anna I am so sorry we didnt get to shift together, after all the pain it just slipped my mind, can you forgive me?" Anna's head snapped towards Lilly in shock: You were in excruciating pain Lu… Lilly, I could tell, there isn't anything to apologize for believe me.
"Okay well then why are you crying?" Lilly took her hand and rubbed the top of it with her other hand.
"I… I wanted to shift with Dominick, but I don't want him to see the… She looked to see if I was listening but I pretended to be busy making coffee, I was pretty much done making Lilly's so I decided to make all of us one so I had something to do while she opened up. "You know, I don't think he will want me once he see's and I wouldn't blame him."
"See's what?" Dom was standing in the doorway listening. Anna's body stiffened once she saw him and I could see her hand tighten around Lilly's.
"Anna, see's what?" He asked again but it was if every time she went to speak the words were caught in her throat as she choked back tears, Lilly finally intervened: Anna… has, some scars that she is afraid to show you, for fear you would reject her.
Doms brows furrowed: WHAT SCARS? He growled making Anna flinch and look towards Lilly who instantly assured her: Anna its okay, show him.
Anna looked back at Dom who had made his was to only a few steps from her now. Anna stood up and turned with her back facing him and as she lifted her shirt she sobbed just knowing he would reject her the second he found out.
The scars on her back made even me sick, the thought that anyone would do something like that to anyone let alone in their own pack, I felt rage soar through me but I knew it was nothing in comparison to what Dom felt. His face was pure anger and his eyes were black, he closed his eyes and breathed deeply to shift them back before his face turned to pure anguish as he looked at what someone had done to his mate. The scars were thick which meant she had to have been cut deeply and with silver. He walked towards her and touched her back making her wince and whimper: Look at me. She shook her head no: Anna Look at me NOW!
His commanding voice forced her to turn towards him but she kept her eyes closed until she was fully facing him. She opened her eyes and her tears fell freely as he cupped her face: You are mine! She looked like she would pass out just from relief: I dont know what happened to you and every part of me wants to give you the third degree so I can rip apart whoever it was who hurt you and if you would like me to do that I would be happy to oblige.
"So would I" I didnt even mean to say it but it popped out of my mouth. Anna's eyes widened and she shook her head no vigorously as she went to appose the idea but Dom put his hands out and told her to let him finish.
"BUT, If you want to just forget about it and move on with our lives I will not press you for details, you are my mate and Anna there is nothing that you do or has been done to you that will change that, I love you and I want no one but you"
Her breath shuddered and her face buried into his chest as she sobbed. He lifted her up and sat at the table with her on his lap holding her tightly to her chest.
"Was this the reason you were hesitating to complete our mate bond?" She shook her head and let out a whimper but he just help her tighter as I set the coffee's on the table for each of us. I returned to my seat and squeezed Lilly's hand with pride at the amazing Luna she was becoming. Dom gave Lilly a thankful nod and she smiled at him in return before looking at me with a teasing smile and mind linking me to say "What would you do without me?"
"Oh princess, don't you know? I'd lose my fucking mind of course"
We sat and drank our coffee talking about this and that till Anna was able to join in and she finally started to open up, more than I had seen her do since before Lilly got here. We finally said our good nights and Anna hugged Lilly tightly, thanking her before Dom threw her over his shoulder and took off to their room as she laughed.
"Well something tells me they're going to be super happy in the morning" We both laughed and I took her by the hand as we walked up the stairs to our bedroom.
