Lilly's POV
I woke up feeling even more sore today then I was yesterday, I stretched my legs and then arms are were sore but tolerable besides my shoulder which hurt a little more. As I stretched my core and back I was met with sheer pain that knocked the wind out of me forcing me to shrink inwardly. The way my body contorted back to itself reminded me of a spider that was sprayed with poison which made me laugh and then cry out in pain. I heard running up the stairs right before Any burst through the door holding the toaster in one hand and his other straight like he was about to karate shop someone in the throat. This made me laugh harder casing me more pain and I screamed out again.
"Oh god, please dont make me laugh, it hurts so bad" I held up my hand signaling Andy to help me up.
He saw my shoulder as he helped me out of bed and his eyes widened: What the fuck happened to you?
I looked at my shoulder then back up to Andy who's face was full of concern and said: I maybe sort of passed out after being fired on Friday. I Shut my eyes tightly and scrunched my nose waiting for his freak out which came directly: WHAT? What the hell happened and why didn't you tell me about it. Also whose ass do I need to kick for causing my big sister to faint?
"I am perfectly fine, also I can fight my own battles thank you very much, the verbal ones at least" I smiled at him sheepishly "I also… have.. a date today, so make yourself scarce will ya?" I said the last part quickly before he could machine gun questions at me and instead of answering I wobbled as quickly as I could to the bathroom and shut the door locking it as quickly as possible.
Andy continued to ask questions through the door but the truth is, I barely know Leo so I wasn't even able to answer them, I turned the shower on so Andy would go away and it worked like a charm. I put soap on my sponge and as I started to wash my body I stopped at my ribs, I must have fallen on something hard when I fell because I barely touched them and once again it felt like the wind was knocked out of me and it caused me to lean forward in pain. I finished bathing and getting dressed, I put product in my hair and blow dried it so it would be some what tame, I put mascara on and some blush and lip stain, I didn't use foundation because I loved my freckles and didn't want to cover them. I put on a cardigen so Leo didn't see the hideous bruise on my shoulder and back and I was ready to go.
I ate a bowl of cereal with a banana sliced up inside and just as I was finishing up I heard a knock at the door. I ran over just as Andy walked out of his room and I gestured for him to keep his mouth shut and out of sight, it was too soon for him to meet him when I barely knew him myself. I slipped out of the door and saw Leo standing there in Jeans and a white v-neck shirt just like my dream except for the black leather jacket he wore making him even hotter which caused me to slightly choke and a small cough came out.
"You okay?" He leaned forward grabbing my arm for support. I looked at him and shook my head: Yeah, I'm fine.
Leo glanced at the house and must have seen Andy because he instantly looked tense: Who was that? I saw your curtains move.
"Oh, no one, don't worry about it" I didn't want to tell him about Andy because I had a feeling Leo would insist on meeting him and I was just not ready for that yet.
He helped me into his SUV and started to drive: Hey.. so do you think we could pick some coffee up on the way? I didn't get a chance to make any at home. I flashed him the sweetest most exaggerated smile I could manage and he looked at me than did a double take and started to chuckle.
"You wish is my command, where do you want to go?" he looked forward but continued to smile.
"I'm not picky, anywhere is fine by me" I felt heat go across my face and chest as I made the decision to grab his hand. I slowly moved my hand towards him and he suddenly reached for mine closing the distance between. I exhaled a sigh of relief which he apparently didn't notice because he said: Well If your not picky than I know the perfect place, do you trust me?
I looked at him, my head tilted to the side trying to determine if I did but my mouth spoke before my brain could catch up: I don't know why but yes, I do. He just laughed and sped up to get to our destination quicker.
We drove for a little over a half hour before pulling into a park, as we drove down the road under a canopy of various trees all old and big, the light shone through the branches making the leaves a brighter green and yellow. I could feel the rays of sunshine on my face as we continued down the road and I closed my eyes taking in the smells of nature, we drove through what looked like a small town with a few houses here and there as well as a few buildings. As we rounded a corner I saw a huge brick building that looked as if it had been renovated into a house. It had massive pillars at the front door holding up the balcony on the above floor and steps leading up to a massive porch and huge double wooden doors. It was 5 stories high which 5 windows across the front of each story. There was a roundabout driveway with a garden in the center and a flower bed that stretched around the house. The grounds were manicured as well as the surrounding trees and I could see a big greenhouse, a barn and people walking around working on the property.
I looked over at Leo quizzically confused as to where the hell we were: I thought we were going to go for a walk?
Leo looked at me and smiled before saying: We are, but you wanted coffee first. He parked in front and got out and came to my door to open it, he helped me step out and took my hand and walked me up the steps and walked me into the house which was huge and beautiful. Entering the large Foyer on the right hand side I could see a few vintage wooden chairs with cream colored upholstery and gold floral print sitting near a coffee table displaying magazines. In the center there was a large wooden staircase with a sea green runner going up the steps with ornately carved hardwood banisters on each side. Leo pulled my hand to the left and we walked through a large doorway to what looked like a dining hall with a massive wooden table that looked like it extended about 20 feet or so. The room was large and went all the way into the kitchen where there was a kitchen bar with stools separating the rooms. I could see 3 people in the kitchen working and as Leo was leading me to it I found myself tugging at him: Where exactly are we? My eyes wide and nervous as he smiled at me and replied: This is my home!
