Chapter 20 - fire within

The following morning, Riser awoke with a renewed sense of purpose. He made his way to the training ground, determined to perfect the martial arts techniques he had been practicing. As he moved through the forms of the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist, he felt an unusual energy coursing through him. His movements were precise, his progress rapid. An aura began to form around him, a faint yet unmistakable manifestation of his growing power.

The aura flickered and pulsed, following the rhythm of his movements, almost as if it was a physical extension of his will.

Hearing the sounds from the training ground, Shifu came to investigate. He watched in silent amazement as Riser practiced, the aura around him growing more defined with each passing moment. Riser, sensing someone's presence, paused and turned to face Shifu.

"Riser," Shifu said, his voice filled with a rare note of admiration, "you've already reached a semi-aura state. That is brilliant."

Riser bowed slightly. "Master, you praise me too much. But what is this aura you speak of?"

Shifu stepped closer, examining the faint energy surrounding Riser. "Aura is the physical manifestation of our internal energy, a refined application of chi. It can be used to strengthen the body and enhance martial techniques. Achieving this state is rare—it is the result of both natural talent and relentless hard work.maybe i can help you in following day and maybe we have chance to send tai lung back "

Riser considered Shifu's words, then spoke his mind. "Master, I appreciate your guidance, but I must be honest. Defeating Tai Lung is not my destiny, and I have promised Master Oogway not to interfere in the destinies of others."

Shifu's expression became serious, his disappointment evident. "But you are our best chance, Riser. With your power, you could help us stop Tai Lung."

Riser shook his head. "I am not, Master. You know as well as I do that Master Oogway has already pointed you to the path. The true hope lies elsewhere." He gestured toward the student dormitory, where the sounds of Po's echoed faintly through the air.

Shifu, his mind heavy with conflicting thoughts, sighed and began to make his way toward the dormitory, leaving Riser alone once more. With Shifu gone, Riser returned to his training, determined to master the Whirlwind Iron Cutting Fist.

That night, the Jade Palace grew eerily quiet. Shifu, along with Po , had left for the birthplace of martial arts to further Po's training. Only a few servants remained, along with Riser, who dined on a meal prepared by a kindly goose.

As Riser ate, his mind wandered. He thought about his power, his immortality—something that, in the terms of game mechanic. His body could heal damage by drawing on his reserves: MP mana(demonic power) , SP stamina, and HP (lifeforce), but even then he could be killed if those reserve were exhausted. If the Phoenix Clan were truly unkillable as anime suggested, they would be far more than just a marquis family.

His thoughts drifted to his goals and the life he had lived in his previous world, a life marred by regret and unfulfilled desires. In this new world, with the wealth and status of the Phoenix family at his disposal, he realized that those things alone would never satisfy him. He wanted to make a name for himself, to stand on his own feet, and to shape the world according to his own will. He longed to be free from the expectations of others and to carve his own path.

Riser's thoughts grew darker as he contemplated the nature of power. In both worlds, power allowed individuals to bend the world to their will, often without consequence. In his previous life, politicians and businessmen had manipulated the system for their gain, feeding lies to the public to maintain control and further their agenda. In this new world, the veil of deception wasn't even necessary—those with power could do as they pleased openly.

He knew that the Three Factions and other powers were working toward peace, setting guidelines to prevent chaos. But to Riser, this world was starting to resemble his old one—a world where the powerful dictated terms that suited them, often at the expense of others.

His thoughts became aggressive, a fire igniting within him. He would not let his ne life in this new world turn into another version of his old one. He refused to let anyone or anything stand in his way, even if it meant burning down the very foundations of this world. Achieving peace and cooperation might be good and he understand his way , but he would not let his well-being be sacrificed for others. He would protect what he held dear and destroy anything that threatened it. For that, he needed unchallengeable power.

With his resolve hardened, Riser had no desire to sleep. Instead, he made his way back to the training ground, determined to master his technique. The night was still, but within Riser, a storm was brewing—a storm fueled by his ambition and his refusal to live under anyone else's rule.

The Jade Palace courtyard, set high atop a mountain. The air is serene as Master Shifu and Po have just returned, completing Po's rigorous training. They stand before the entrance to the Jade Palace, the magnificent structure towering above them. The atmosphere is thick with anticipation.

Shifu: (calm and composed) You have done well, Panda.

Po: (bursting with excitement, puffing out his chest) Done well? Done well?! (Po flares his belly, launching Shifu sideways with a playful but powerful bump) I've done awesome!

Shifu: (regaining his balance, smiling) The mark of a true hero is humility. (But then he nods, acknowledging Po's achievement) But yes, you have done... (Shifu lightly fist-bumps Po's side) ...awesome.

Suddenly, the sound of wings flapping fills the air. They both turn to see Crane struggling to haul a group of unconscious comrades through the sky. Crane lands heavily, exhausted, and releases the still bodies of the Furious Five onto the ground.

Po: (panicking as he checks on the bodies) Guys? Guys?! They're dead!

Shifu: (kneeling beside them, examining Mantis and Monkey) No, they're breathing. They're asleep? But their eyes are open.

Crane: (weakly) We were no match for his nerve attacks.

Shifu quickly works his magic, expertly undoing the nerve attacks and restoring movement to the Furious Five. Mantis and Monkey shake off their stiffness, slowly regaining their strength.

Shifu: (grimly) He's gotten stronger.

Po: (eyes wide with fear) Who? Tai Lung? Stronger?

Monkey: (shivering as he recalls the encounter) He's too fast!

Tigress: (in disbelief) I thought we could stop him.

Shifu: (as he frees Chun-Li) He could have killed you.

Mantis: (confused and concerned) Why didn't he?

Shifu: (seriously) So you could come back and strike fear into our hearts. But it won't work.

Po: (nervously) It might. I mean, a little. I'm pretty scared.

Shifu: (turning to Po, with firm resolve) You can defeat him, Panda!

Po: (incredulous) Are you kidding? If they can't?! They're five masters. I'm just one... me.

Shifu: (calm but assured) But you will have the one thing that no one else does.

Po: (hopeful) You really believe I'm ready?

Shifu: (with a warm smile) You are... Po.

They ascend to the heart of the Jade Palace, standing beneath the grand Dragon Statue. Shifu reverently retrieves the Dragon Scroll from its sacred place in the ceiling and offers it to Po.

Shifu: (solemnly) Behold the Dragon Scroll. It is yours.

Po: (nervously taking the scroll) Wait. What happens when I read it?

Shifu: (legendary tone) Legend says you will be able to hear a butterfly's wing beat.

Po: (in awe) Really? That's cool.

Shifu: (nodding) Yes. And see light in the deepest cave. You will feel the universe in motion around you.

Po: (enthusiastic) Can I punch through walls? Do a quadruple backflip? Focus. Will I?

Shifu: (firmly) Focus.

Po: (seriously) Oh, yeah, yeah.

Shifu: (encouraging) Read it, Po, and fulfill your destiny. Read it and become... the Dragon Warrior.

Po, with trembling hands, opens the Dragon Scroll... only to find it blank. His face drops in shock.

Po: (shouting) It's blank!

Shifu: (horrified) What?!

Panic spreads through the room as everyone realizes the gravity of the situation. Shifu quickly regains control and begins issuing orders.

Shifu: (urgent) Get everyone out of the valley!

Chun-Li: (worried) But who will stop Tai Lung?

Suddenly, the heavy doors of the hall swing open, and a tall figure steps into the room. The light casts a long shadow, revealing none other than Riser Phoenix. His presence is commanding, and he speaks a single, confident word:

Riser: (calmly, with quiet authority) Me.
