Chapter 121 - Chapter 121

In the verbal sparring with Angel Chui, Zhang Zheng emerged victorious.

With the momentum of his victory, Zhang Zheng arrived at Angel Yan's castle.

Knock, knock, knock, Zhang Zheng began to knock on the door with force. The castle was so large that he thought if he didn't knock hard enough, Angel Yan wouldn't hear it. As for the doorbell, Zhang Zheng was unsure whether Yan's castle had one.

The sound of footsteps grew louder, and Zhang Zheng imagined that Angel Yan must have swayed gracefully to the door. The sound of heels hitting the floor confirmed it.

When the door opened, Angel Yan, dressed in a fitting white gown with golden embroidery and exuding grace, appeared before Zhang Zheng.

"Hello, Yan beauty, have you missed me?" Zhang Zheng said with a smile, unconsciously leaning a little closer to Angel Yan and waving his right hand near his ear.

"Zhang Zheng." Yan rubbed her eyes in disbelief, trying to confirm if Zhang Zheng was real.

"It really is you." After confirming it wasn't an illusion, Angel Yan instinctively wanted to embrace Zhang Zheng but paused, feeling a bit at a loss and lowering her head, her face flushing slightly.

Zhang Zheng admitted that Angel Yan looked enchanting at this moment.

Without hesitation, Zhang Zheng approached Angel Yan and pulled her into his embrace.

"Yan, have you made up your mind to become my guardian angel?"

Holding Yan in his arms, Zhang Zheng did not make any more overt moves but leaned his head close to Yan's ear and asked softly.

Startled by Zhang Zheng's sudden embrace, Yan felt unsure of what to do with her hands. However, hearing Zhang Zheng's words, she simply responded with a soft "mm," wrapped her arms around his waist, and rested her head on his shoulder.

Seeing Angel Yan, Zhang Zheng had made up his mind. Since things had happened, he would not avoid them, and he would give an explanation to Zhi Xin later.

Zhang Zheng released Yan from his embrace, cupping her face. It was smooth and elastic—his first impression of touching Yan's face.

Noting that Angel Yan had closed her eyes after being held, Zhang Zheng, not being foolish, immediately kissed Yan's red lips.

Feeling Yan's tentative response, inhaling her fragrance, and tasting the sweetness of her lips, Zhang Zheng was utterly intoxicated.

"Mm..." Yan's voice pulled Zhang Zheng from his reverie.

"Will you not invite me in?" Zhang Zheng released Yan's soft lips and asked teasingly while taking a deep breath of Yan's scent.

"Ah! Come in quickly." Yan then realized that she was still at the door, and many little angels had stopped to watch while she was kissing Zhang Zheng.

After Zhang Zheng was pulled inside, Yan closed the door behind them.

"Yan, you look really beautiful today, almost irresistible." Zhang Zheng sat opposite Yan, unable to help commenting on how lovely she looked.

Then, Zhang Zheng stood up, moved to Yan's side, and wrapped his arm around her slender waist.

"Hehe, Zhang Zheng, are you captivated by your older sister?" Angel Yan had returned to her composure from the initial joy of seeing Zhang Zheng. Though her face was still slightly flushed, she no longer felt the same shyness as before.

"Hmm, although I feel a bit sorry for Zhi Xin, I really am completely captivated by you and unable to extricate myself."

Having accepted reality and wanting to be with Yan and Zhi Xin properly, Zhang Zheng was no longer hesitant. His words grew more ambiguous and less cautious.

"Haha, where is Zhi Xin?" Hearing Zhang Zheng mention Zhi Xin, Yan asked out of curiosity, but she regretted it immediately, fearing it might disrupt their mood.

"Zhi Xin went to visit Teacher He Xi. I didn't dare go because my sixth sense told me it would be dangerous if I did."

To Yan's surprise, Zhang Zheng answered her question naturally and even made a self-deprecating comment about his sixth sense.

"Oh. Then what brings you to Angel City this time?"

Yan asked, not believing that Zhang Zheng was here just to see her.

"Do you believe me if I say I came to Angel City because I missed you and wanted to visit?" Zhang Zheng looked at Angel Yan with a deeply affectionate tone.

"I don't believe it." Yan's response was straightforward, not giving Zhang Zheng a chance to make excuses.

"Tell me, what exactly are you here for?" She placed her hand on Zhang Zheng's chest, feeling the strong heartbeat.

"Alright, I came to steal the blueprints for the Blade series warships, but seeing you, it doesn't seem that important anymore."

"Because you are my biggest gain from this trip." Zhang Zheng wasn't lying; he was completely captivated by Yan's beauty and couldn't extricate himself.

"Heartbeat unchanged, you pass." Yan withdrew her hand from Zhang Zheng's chest and rested her head on his chest, playfully saying.

With Yan leaning against him, Zhang Zheng's heartbeat noticeably quickened.

"Ah, Zhang Zheng's heartbeat is speeding up. Can't you control yourself? Do you want to roll in the sheets with me?" Angel Yan raised her head, looking at Zhang Zheng with a teasing tone.

"Haha, Yan, this isn't like when we were at my place. If you keep this up, believe me, I'll definitely push you away today." Zhang Zheng wasn't afraid of Yan's teasing; after all, she was his sooner or later, and he wouldn't be swayed by her temptation.

"Humph, so boring. I'm a bit disappointed now." Hearing Zhang Zheng's words, Angel Yan straightened up, pushed him away, and spoke with disdain.

"It's too late. I've already sealed the deal. Now, you're mine, and no one can take you away." Zhang Zheng said shamelessly.

Without giving Yan a chance to react, Zhang Zheng pulled her back into his embrace and kissed her again.

This time, Yan didn't close her eyes but looked into Zhang Zheng's eyes as they kissed, her eyes becoming watery and sparkling, like the most beautiful star in the night sky, making Zhang Zheng lose himself in her enchanting gaze.

As they kissed, Zhang Zheng's hands became more restless. The hand around Yan's waist began to slide downward, while the other hand explored upward along her smooth abdomen.

Feeling Yan's rapid breathing, Zhang Zheng took a deep breath to suppress his restless emotions.

"It's not the right time yet," Zhang Zheng told himself.

Looking at Angel Yan, who was lying in his arms, her face flushed and her gaze somewhat dazed, Zhang Zheng took a few more deep breaths to calm himself.

He wanted to look away from Yan but found their gazes locked like magnetic poles, making it impossible for him to break free.
