Chapter 28 - Chapter 28

Not thinking about the useless things anymore, if I unleash my full power now, I should be the most destructive force in the universe.

Looking at the few people who had finished clearing the debris and returned to his side, Zhang Zheng opened his left hand and decided to use the Reality Stone this time.

A dark red light shot from Zhang Zheng's hand, illuminating the remains of the Sun Star. According to the data given by Pan Zhen, the power to distort reality erupted.

Pan Zhen and the three great guardians were completely stunned by the scene before them. The shattered Sun Star was visibly regenerating at a rapid speed.

If Zhang Zheng's previous use of time powers could be somewhat guessed by Pan Zhen, this was completely beyond his comprehension. Who has ever seen a planet heal after being damaged?

"Am I in a fantasy world now?" Lei Yan asked Yu Xu and Xuan Kun reflexively.

"I don't know," Xuan Kun said, looking dazed.

"This must be true divine power," Yu Xu remarked.

Although they were called gods in their lower civilization, they knew their power came from implanted genetic engines, which were technological. They were having a hard time accepting Zhang Zheng's seemingly unscientific power.

What about energy conservation?

Not to mention the three people whose views were completely shattered.

Pan Zhen, looking at the now restored Sun Star, stammered, "What... what kind of power is this?"

"You can understand it as the power of the void and anti-void combined," Zhang Zheng said.

The power of the void can alter rules, and the power of anti-void can negate material conservation. Combining the two can distort and modify reality.

"Void and anti-void?" Pan Zhen murmured.

Then he stopped thinking about it and said to the happy Lei Yan and the other three, "Today is the happiest day for the Sun Star. Announce nationwide and hold a grand feast for three days."

Pan Zhen seemed to remember something and looked at Zhang Zheng.

"The restoration of the Sun Star is indeed a great occasion worth celebrating. I wonder if I could also have the honor to join your celebration," Zhang Zheng said with a playful tone.

"Of course, Lord Zhang Zheng, your great favor to the Sun Star is unforgettable," Pan Zhen said, bowing with his fists clasped.

Seeing the iron-blooded general bowing and clasping his fists, Zhang Zheng quickly stepped forward to help him up, saying, "General Pan, there's no need for that. I am a friend of Reina and, thus, a friend of the Sun Star."

Zhang Zheng believed that this man in front of him, who had fought across the universe for thousands of years, would only lower his head to the old Sun God.

Even the current Dawn Goddess, Reina, could not make him bow. Now, bowing to a younger person like Zhang Zheng represented not only himself but the people of the Sun Star.

Looking at Pan Zhen, Zhang Zheng finally understood a principle: sometimes a man, even if he bows, is still a hero.

Returning to the Sun Star, Zhang Zheng personally felt the enthusiasm of its people.

When Pan Zhen introduced Zhang Zheng at the feast, several elders even proposed marriage alliances with him.

Zhang Zheng was stunned by the enthusiasm of the Sun Star's elders. Marrying into the Dawn Goddess's family was out of the question. Reflecting on his experiences with Goddess Reina, Zhang Zheng felt that if he were to marry her, he might not survive for three years.

Even with his Sentinel bloodline, he couldn't handle Reina's divine quirks.

Thinking about Xiao Zhi Xin, who was far away in the Angel Nebula, Zhang Zheng decided to firmly refuse the impractical marriage proposal.

He gently declined the marriage proposal, stating that he was already married and revealed the identity of Xiao Zhi Xin as the Sacred Right Wing to the Sun Star's high officials. He hoped the gods of the Sun Star would take good care of Yunyun in the future.

The lively feast lasted for three days, during which Zhang Zheng experienced the Sun Star people's drinking capacity.

Pan Zhen and the four great guardians nearly drank Zhang Zheng under the table.

When Zhang Zheng woke up, he realized that he had been thoroughly drunk. The Sun Star generals were indeed alcoholics.

The people celebrated for three days, while Zhang Zheng, on the other hand, celebrated for half a day and was drunk for two and a half days.

Zhang Zheng woke up in the afternoon of the fourth day. Rubbing his aching head, he thought with a sense of wonder that even as a god, having a hangover was quite unusual.

He opened the door and found himself in a large mansion. Confused, he asked, "Old sir, where am I? How long have I been asleep? Where is General Pan Zhen?"

The official was taken aback by Zhang Zheng's three questions.

"Well… Sir, you are now at the Royal Post Station. You drank too much and have been asleep for three days. I just saw you woke up and have sent someone to inform General Pan Zhen," the official said with utmost respect, addressing Zhang Zheng as "benefactor," making Zhang Zheng a bit embarrassed.

"General Pan Zhen, you finally woke up. We did not know you had such poor alcohol tolerance," Pan Zhen said apologetically as he walked in.

Seeing Zhang Zheng drunk, Pan Zhen and the four great guardians were quite embarrassed, especially under the strange gazes of the elders. Pan Zhen felt a deep sense of guilt.

The Sun Star civilization was a conservative one and valued恩義 (恩义, meaning kindness and loyalty). A single bout of drinking exposed the benefactor's disgraceful side, which made Pan Zhen feel even more guilty.

"General Pan Zhen, don't worry about it. In my age group back on Earth, it's rare not to get drunk. I had no experience of getting drunk before due to my physical condition, so it was an experience.

Having this experience in life is not bad. Not having been drunk would be a regret," Zhang Zheng said, comforting the apologetic Pan Zhen.

"Your broad-mindedness is commendable. I am just thinking too much," Pan Zhen said, admiring Zhang Zheng's attitude towards life.

"Learning to be a god starts with learning to be a person," Zhang Zheng said with a smile.

"If only Goddess Reina were as mature as you," Pan Zhen sighed.

Pan Zhen now found Zhang Zheng more and more agreeable. He was powerful and not arrogant.

"Perhaps this journey of Goddess Reina to Earth is the beginning of her transformation," Zhang Zheng said with a hint of nostalgia.

"May I ask why you are so insistent on fighting me?" Pan Zhen asked curiously, despite agreeing to fight Zhang Zheng for two months as long as the Sun Star was restored.

"Hmmm… I promised the Power of the Galaxy to protect Earth for 1,000 years until it becomes a qualified main god. Therefore, I need to become stronger. Currently, I am not inferior to others in terms of destruction.

But to protect Earth, I still fall short. For weaker opponents, it's fine. But if I fight strong opponents on Earth, I might accidentally blow up the planet without the enemies even needing to intervene," Zhang Zheng said, feeling a bit embarrassed.

Pan Zhen understood Zhang Zheng's reasoning immediately.

"Like our goddess, you have destructive power, but lack combat experience and struggle to control your power."

"Understood. I admire your dedication to protecting your homeland. You should rest today. Tomorrow, we will start our two-month battle in the depths of the universe," Pan Zhen said boldly.
