Chapter 21 - Chapter 21

As soon as they returned to Angel City, He Xi immediately shooed Zhang Zheng and Zhi Xin away.

She had had enough. Throughout the journey back, Zhang Zheng and Zhi Xin had been all over each other, whispering sweet nothings. Zhi Xin even tucked her wings away and let Zhang Zheng hold her close as they flew back. The two, completely immersed in their affection, had totally ignored how He Xi, the single virgin for thirty thousand years, might feel.

Naturally, He Xi, who had been subjected to their lovey-dovey behavior all the way, erupted as soon as they arrived at Angel City. She ordered them out of her castle, telling them to go indulge in their romance elsewhere, so she could enjoy some peace of mind.

Zhang Zheng and Zhi Xin, pushed out by He Xi, looked at each other in confusion.

"Why did the teacher send us away? Is she angry?" Zhi Xin asked with a puzzled look at Zhang Zheng.

At only 500 years old, Zhi Xin, though the youngest of the Holy Right Wing, had grown up in Angel City, a place devoid of intrigue and scheming. Her emotional growth was minimal, and being a curious girl who loved learning, she spent most of her time studying various subjects alone. Thus, she was still quite like a young girl in the eyes of the angels.

She hadn't realized how much emotional damage their public display of affection might have caused He Xi, who had been single for thirty thousand years.

Zhang Zheng, seeing Zhi Xin's adorable expression, couldn't help but smile wryly. He probably guessed why He Xi had sent them away. It was understandable; if he had been single for so long and his friend showed off their relationship in front of him, he wouldn't feel good either. He resolved to be more considerate around He Xi in the future.

Zhang Zheng reminded himself and said to Zhi Xin, "It's okay. The teacher isn't mad at you, Zhi Xin. It's all my fault for stealing you away from her. That's why she's angry with me."

"Oh…" Hearing Zhang Zheng's words, Zhi Xin felt a bit embarrassed and a blush spread across her face. Her cute demeanor prompted Zhang Zheng to pull her into an embrace and kiss her.

"Let's go. I'll take you to see the places where you live."

Seeing Zhi Xin with a slightly dazed look and her eyes shimmering after the kiss, Zhang Zheng quickly added, "Just now, when we kissed, I suddenly felt a murderous gaze fixed on me."

From Zhang Zheng's senses, this gaze seemed to come from a window in the castle. Fearing for his safety, Zhang Zheng hastily found an excuse to pull Zhi Xin away.

Zhang Zheng was truly scared. He thought that if he continued to be affectionate with Zhi Xin here, she would be fine, but he might end up being cut into eight pieces by He Xi, who might borrow the Angel Silver Wings from Queen Kaisa and put him into a hundred-year celibacy.

Don't doubt it—angels do have a chastity phase, and don't doubt a thirty-thousand-year-old saint's determination.

Seeing Zhi Xin being led away by Zhang Zheng, He Xi showed a smile of blessing. "You've found a powerful partner, Zhi Xin. I hope you'll be happy."

As Queen Kaisa said, "True love will endure." He Xi thought silently. Having experienced the dark side of the angels herself, she most wished for the children to live in the light.

Zhi Xin showed Zhang Zheng around Angel City for a long time, introducing him to many places. Along the way, many angels greeted Zhi Xin and then curiously looked at Zhang Zheng holding her hand. After all, there weren't many men who could come to Angel City. Zhi Xin just smiled and nodded in response.

...

While Zhi Xin was showing Zhang Zheng around, Queen Kaisa had arrived at He Xi's castle. They sat on the grass outside the castle and chatted, with the topic of conversation being Zhang Zheng.

"I've been in touch with Yan. That kid has met Yan on Earth and mentioned that Liang Bing would be arriving soon. He expressed his hope that angels and demons wouldn't fight on Earth," Kaisa said, taking a sip of her coffee.

Although she was speaking to He Xi, her gaze was fixed on the stream in front of her.

"I fought him in space. Although he has little combat experience, there's no denying his potential is immense. Actually, it's not just potential; his strength is considerable. If it were just close-combat skills, many third-generation angels could defeat him. But that's assuming he doesn't unleash his energy. His divine body is very tough, and his recovery ability is even superior to your fourth-generation divine body. I feel his greatest strength lies in energy bombardment. His combat style resembles that of the Solar Star."

He Xi described Zhang Zheng's combat characteristics. While it was meant to test Zhang Zheng, it was also a way to understand him. For Kaisa, as the king of gods, encountering a new god in the universe was a significant matter.

Kaisa listened to He Xi's assessment of Zhang Zheng's combat capabilities, her expression growing serious. If Zhang Zheng were an ordinary god, Kaisa could have been indifferent. However, with He Xi's recognition of Zhang Zheng's power, Kaisa had to consider the attitude toward Earth.

Angels represent justice, not tyranny. If Earth is unable to counter Morgana, angels helping would be seen as justice. But now, with Zhang Zheng and the Super God Academy, Earth already has the qualification to fight Morgana. Forcing the issue would turn it into tyranny. Angels would not act in such a manner, as justice binds both others and themselves.

However, knowing that Zhi Xin was Zhang Zheng's guardian angel, Kaisa felt she might be overthinking things. The relationship between Zhi Xin and Zhang Zheng ensured that angels and Earthlings would only be allies. If Earth could not withstand the demon invasion, angels could rightfully enter Earth as allies to eliminate the demons.

With that in mind, Kaisa stopped worrying about these issues.

"Zhi Xin has found a powerful partner; you can rest easy now," Kaisa teased He Xi.

"Hmm… that kid really cares about Zhi Xin, but he has no sense," He Xi said, feeling a bit down as she remembered their previous display of affection.

"Haha…" Seeing He Xi's gloomy face, Kaisa couldn't help but laugh. "Alright, don't be upset over a kid in his twenties. He did give us a big gift, after all."

Kaisa was quite satisfied with the "Vanadium Alloy" that Zhang Zheng had sent. As the queen of angels, the wisest being in the universe, she could immediately tell the importance of "Vanadium Alloy" with just a glance.

He Xi, curious about the "great gift" Kaisa mentioned, asked, "What kind of gift can be called a great gift by Your Majesty?"

"Zhang Zheng gave us a special metal called 'Vanadium Alloy.' I examined it with the Eye of Insight, and it's a very unique metal. Its atomic activity is nearly static and can absorb and reflect energy. If we can decode and replicate this metal for use in angelic armor, it could save many young angelic warriors' lives. So, this task is assigned to you, He Xi," Kaisa said seriously.

With no trace of jest, only a serious expression.

He Xi, hearing Kaisa's words, did not respond as a friend would. Instead, she stood up, walked to Kaisa, placed her right hand on her chest, leaned forward, and said with a serious expression, "Rest assured, Your Majesty."

At this moment, they were no longer friends but former Holy Right Wing and Angel Queen.

Kaisa looked at He Xi, also standing up. She gently patted He Xi's arm and said, "Then I'll leave it to you."
