Chapter 20 - King Industries

Results for both this and the system should logically be presented within a day considering the size of the workforce they had access to.

They had the hardware; all they had to do was follow the instructions to install it afterwards.

Meanwhile, just as Richard had thought, Larry could be seen in his office going through the file that was just sent over. They were essentially a data company.

By creating such a new and secure cybersecurity system for them, Richard had quite literally given his company a new lease on life. He had not just strengthened the foundation but completely added an extra layer of security to his company.

The Twenty million dollars they had sent over, in his opinion, was small considering how much they poured into that sector of the company each year. This alone had taken them several years ahead.

If it were up to him, he would make it higher, but the Board didn't understand. They had paid nothing. The 20.5 million dollars sent came from a cut in the salaries of each of their workers.

The average salary for a cybersecurity expert in the company ranged from $90,000 to $150,000; a cut of $1,000 was nothing to them… well, he had tricked them.

It was a condition: if Richard outhacked all of them, then said amount would be deducted from their pay, and if they beat him, such an amount would be added.

Now, the same young man had sent over an even more incredible piece of code, one that he had personally spent thousands of dollars investing in, and on the company side… billions.

There was no way in hell he was collecting this for free. This was too important for him to do so. He sat down reviewing the code personally. Hours passed, and he remained in his seat doing so.

In summary, if this was mixed with the ConstellationOS, a lot would change. In simple terms, the AI would allow the system to better adapt to what you were doing.

If you are doing intense and heavy-duty work, then it will adjust the power and speed of the processor and such to match, allowing you to have a constantly smooth experience—all this without even considering the fact that it still had regular Taurus capabilities.

It was a text-based generator that utilized their search engine's catalogue to its fullest.

"Please call in Mr. Gary; I need to see him immediately," Larry called out to his secretary.

Of course, he had no intent to make a loss from this, but if this was implemented in their systems, they would make way more profit than ever.

However, he also didn't want to be known as the one who duped a young and upcoming talent like Richard.

It was one thing to be business-minded; it was another to be cold-hearted. He wanted his business to profit, but he couldn't be using another man's hard work to do so.

Meanwhile, Richard finally made his way to his friend's place to eat. He had spent almost an hour before he finally ate.

"I thought you were no longer hungry," Gabriel said as he entered the room.

"Sorry, it was important," Richard replied.

Not bringing up anything that had just happened, Richard continued discussing it with his friend. Despite his status as a local billionaire, here he was sitting on the ground in some unknown lodge, eating what he could only call "enjoyment food."

That was a term he rarely used and was used to mark days when he spent way more money than usual to prepare food. Essentially, eat well once and then continue managing for days after, but now, he didn't need to do that again.

After a while, the room fell silent, and Richard got lost in his thoughts as he ate. Even if the main goal of the Oasis game was simply to gain more recognition, it was still an excellent way to start a business.

With Oasis as the major product, in maybe a year or two, he would have an asset worth more than a billion dollars in his hand. Of course, that was in ideal situations.

Ding!

A new notification came in. It was from Discord, and it was a document just as Larry had said. He planned to acquire this through the proper route rather than just take it. Richard had a hard time understanding the man's thought process.

He was given a gift that would make him several times richer, and rather than just accept it, he planned to buy it. If he planned to sell it, God knew he wouldn't sell it for anything less than a billion dollars.

That was its true worth. It was money that Constellation had and could dish out, but this was a gift, not a sale.

"Oh well, to each their own. I gain in the end," Richard said aloud as he finally ate the last piece of meat on the plate.

After that, he carried his plate to the kitchen, washed it, and went back downstairs to find out how he could create his ideal server. The best way was to order it from one of the many manufacturers, but even then, he was having second thoughts about this.

Even the least technologically advanced creation by the Research bot was still above the available technology. That made him a little apprehensive about sending out such a blueprint.

Advanced technology was well sought after, and if he sent it to anyone, they would steal it after seeing its capabilities. Chip companies made several billion dollars a year with their products; if one that vastly outperformed all of them came out, all that profit would go to one person.

As soon as he got to his room, he opened the message sent by Larry. It asked that he come up with a name for a company because it would be needed to sign the document.

There were more than twelve different documents that he sent; some of them were about company registration here in Nigeria. This truly showed the power of money.

After thinking for a while, he simply went with "King Industries." He already had the KingOS, so why not just continue with the trend?
