Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: A Cry That Makes You Tremble The Earth, Part 1.

Ron, who saw everything from afar, was fascinated by the organization and efficiency that the group of 5 people showed, each covering the weaknesses of the other, but at one point, his brow frowned when he noticed something strange in the aberration that was slowly being cornered.

"Even for a human-like aberration it's still very slow," Ron muttered.

According to his understanding, aberrations were divided into three types, flying, speed and strength, aberrations that took human form were usually always of the force type, but lacked speed, on the other hand, there were the aberrations that took the form of beasts, these were fast and although they lacked strength, their speed and agility made up for it pleasantly.

Finally, there were those that took flying forms, such as birds, for example, obviously these were of the flying type, they maintained their balance between strength and speed, but these were the most dangerous and annoying in Ron's opinion because their maneuverability in the air gave them the opportunity to fight and flee to recover as many times as they wanted.

Going back to the main point, in Ron's eyes, the aberration left too many openings and there were even times when its speed decreased a lot, making Ron believe that the aberration did this intentionally so that others would lower their guard.

- Should I tell them? No, no, you have to wait a bit, if done right, maybe I can catch that wretch off guard – After thinking about it for a bit, Ron began to prepare a powerful and powerful fire spell, this would take at least half of his mana, but if his plan was successful as he expected, then there would be one less aberration to worry about.

And while the spell couldn't do him much damage, Ron had the confidence to say that it would be enough to knock the aberration out of action for at least a few seconds, time that the other people could use to their advantage.

And it didn't take long for what he expected to happen, after the woman who commanded the group gave several indications, Ron clearly saw how the aberration that a few moments ago was on the losing side, suddenly gained strength in just an instant and rushed towards the group's archer.

- I have you bastard! –

Ron wasted no time and before the aberration could reach the archer, he cast his spell, reaching the creature in the blink of an eye.

There was no explosion or anything striking, however, the result was satisfactory, the aberration was thrown several meters away from the goalkeeper and the woman who saw everything, reacted quickly and grabbed the aberration from behind while it was still in the air.

Taking a dagger and imbuing it with mana, he began stabbing the aberration right where its core was located, managing to open a large wound in the process.

- Archer, quick, attack him at his core! –

The archer put his arrow on the bowstring and without any hesitation he released the string and the arrow disappeared leaving behind a deafening sound, the arrow ended up hitting with what looked like a small marble made of red stone, although the arrow stopped its path for a few moments, that did not last long because as if it were a drill the arrow ended up piercing the core of the aberration, killing her in the process.

The woman looked in the direction of where Ron was, impressed that Ron's quick reaction had saved the skin of one of his comrades and helped him end the aberration in an instant.

Ron, who was being watched by the woman, approached as did the group and once they were face to face, the woman began to speak.

- Thank you for saving my colleague, my name is Robin and these guys along with me are from the Iron Giants association -

Ron was impressed to hear the name of the association the woman came from; it was an association of warriors ranked among the top 10 associations.

- It's nothing, helping us in this situation is normal, my name is Ron, I'm a magician/alchemist from the Flor de Luna association –

"An alchemist eh, awesome, Ron, could you ask what you're doing around here?" –

Hearing Robin's question, Ron became serious and began to explain.

- My friend and I were fighting against an aberration, but as you can see, a magician can hardly do anything to those things, except me who does not focus on fighting, I tried to ask for reinforcements through the intercom, but no one responds -

Robin nodded in understanding and from his pocket he took out a watch, similar to the one Ron had with him.

- It seems that the intercoms are not working, well, we better go help your friend, after that we have to go to the dock where almost everyone else is, I received a message that urgently asked us to meet there to help the people before the intercoms stopped working -

Ron nodded and thanked Robin for the help, heading over to where his friend was.

On the way they passed again where Ron had found several aberrant corpses, impressing the entire group.

"Awesome, destroying an aberration before they transform is extremely difficult, under normal circumstances you would have to be a grade higher than these if you want to kill them in an instant, were they already here when you passed?"

Ron nodded, as for what Robin said, he agreed, when someone was alone, it was best to avoid these things, as their skin was extremely hard and they could regenerate very quickly, not to mention that once you did enough damage to them they entered their second phase and if you were unlucky, they could also resort to frenzy mode.

Once everyone entered the parking lot and reached the other side, Alek found himself lying on the ground, struggling with an aberration that had entered its second form and had become some kind of giant wolf with many deformities and protrusions.

-Alek! – Ron was about to cast a spell, but the archer of the group reacted quickly and shot an arrow towards the aberration, moving it several meters away from Alek.

They all gathered next to Alek and Ron held out his hand to help him up.

- What happened Alek? Why did the aberration transform? – Ron asked confused, there were only two ways for an aberration to transform, the first was to do a large amount of damage to it and the other was . . .

- I don't know, suddenly I heard a scream and the imbecile began to transform, luckily, he didn't advance to the third grade or he would be dead-

- A scream? – They all asked confused, Alek who was about to explain the situation stopped, because the aberration had risen again, however, before Robin gave more orders, a deafening scream echoed throughout the place.

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH

No one in the group was able to stand up after hearing the scream, their bodies became weak in an instant, luckily for them, the aberration they were fighting started to flee in the direction of the scream, completely ignoring them.

Ron and Robin wanted to stop the aberration, but that's when Alek screamed.

- Beware, a tide of aberrations! –

Multiple aberrations in its second phase were directed towards where the group was, however, they did not fight, instead they passed by ignoring them.

Robin who saw them walk away said, "Well, this is definitely not good."

The others swallowed hard, nodding in response and asking.

- And now? –

Ron replied – They're heading in the direction of the pier, we should go and have a look – The others agreed, it could be dangerous, but the priority at the moment was the people who were in the place.

. . . . . . .

- Stop here -

Stopping the car for a moment, William looked at the road blocked by trees, but they weren't trees that just fell on the road, no, it was as if someone had planted them and they had erected a wall, in fact, William couldn't even see how far the trees ended.

But there was something strange, these trees despite being giants, could only be seen if one got close enough, as if they were....

- An illusory barrier, quite strong in fact, even I will be unable to break it without causing havoc, nor will I be able to do it in a short time, it would take me more than a day without the necessary materials and tools - said the man who told William to stop.

William who saw the man touch the wall of trees, asked – What about those outside the city center? –

- The same as in here, people won't even know that they are locked up or that there is a big barrier surrounding the city center –

William nodded, still worried about his family, but also grateful for the man who saved him from his end.

OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH

Interrupting their thoughts and the man's, a great and monstrous scream resounded throughout the area, the two turned towards the direction where the scream was coming from and the man who was now frowning said – We have to go to the dock, I have a bad feeling –

William nodded and started the car, although with difficulty, he was not sure, but after hearing that scream, he felt dizzy and tired, but now he was even more worried about his family, so, without time to think, he accelerated, heading to the dock as fast as he could.
