Today was a bizarre encounter, my thoughts swirling in a chaotic mess. The day had been a rollercoaster of madness, from the terrifying incident in the cave to the ridiculous exchange with that strange woman.
After a while, I reached the edge of the academy dormitory and emerged into my room. The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows across the pathways. As I walked, the events of the day replayed in my mind—the boy in the kindergarten, those haunting words, that eerie encounter. What did it all mean? Why did he call me "Deva"? And those eyeless sockets... the image sent a shiver down my spine every time I thought about it.
Was that even real? Or just a false memory? I couldn't tell. This is a lot more than I had imagined. I'll have to research all these things later on. But first, let's see this.

I exclaimed in joy, "Infinite Eye is now a signature skill!" It seemed the artifact's skills merged with my system. That's good.
But Wasn't I supposed to be transmigrated with an overpowered skill? Isn't that the first rule of this trope?
It's like someone drops you at a remote outpost, 10000 km from home, and then says, 'Good luck buddy, you're on your own!'
Seriously, fuck u gods
Geez Now all I have to do is prepare for tomorrow. As I started thinking about the upcoming events, a knock came at my door.
"Yooo yooo yooo!"
Huh? What kind of creature is this? I thought as I moved closer to the door to check through the peephole. As I got closer, I could hear them clearly.
"Hey, Sunny, I think he's not back yet. Let's go back."
"Shut up! I can smell his aroma from inside!"
"That's creepy, you jerk! How the heck can you sense something like that?"
"Because that's the aroma of the precious perfume he stole from me, you dumbass!"
Hearing them chatter, I couldn't help but get a headache. I knew exactly who they were—Akashi's two jerky friends, you might call them sidekicks. These two were with him from the start, all the way until he got expelled. Perfect third-class sidekicks of a third-rate villain.
Akashi was kind of bossy around them, but they never left him alone. One thing I can say for sure is that they were loyal when it came to friendship. But would they leave me now if I told them I was no longer the young master of a prestigious house? Not that I care if they do. The news will spread through the academy by tomorrow anyway.
Without thinking much longer, I finally opened the door. The first thing I saw was a guy with orange hair and brown eyes, a good face cut, and a pretty handsome smile as he saw me. The second one had black hair and the same brown eyes, also pretty handsome but looking rather annoyed by the guy beside him. They were Sunny and Cloudy.
"Yo," I said.
"What yooooo! Where were you? I thought after getting Suspended, you chose Plan B after all?"
"Plan B?"
Sunny looked towards the fan, still running fine. "Yeah, cool, let us enter first."
We sat inside my room. Sunny started playing with my games and stuff, breaking them—I don't know what he was doing. Cloudy just stared at the clouds like he wanted to be one of them.
Unable to keep up with the silence, I asked, "So, yo guys, what's happening in the academy?"
"Still boring as always," Sunny replied, still fiddling with the stuff.
"I mean, did someone ask about me? Any chatter?"
"Nope, no one missed you."
This MF is too straightforward, isn't he?
Anyway, he spoke once again, "Tomorrow your suspension is over, right, Akashi? We can hang out again in school, haha."
"Yeah," I replied.
"That would be good. I'm already annoyed to death just staying alone with this bastard. If you come, he'll stop giving me headaches," Cloudy said, glancing at Sunny.
"Ohhh, what did you say?" Sunny was about to explode at him, but I spoke up.
"Hey, is there any fight or something that broke out in the academy? Like a duel challenge or something?"
"Nope, nothing like that," Sunny exclaimed.
"I see."
"But that bastard…"
"Huh?"
"That bastard Liam! Hey, Akashi, you aren't gonna sit idle, right? We gotta make him pay!"
"Ah, about that…"
Looks like they're still pissed at the protagonist. But honestly, it wasn't just me who got wrecked by him—they did too. But The difference?
They barely got any punishment compared to me. Why?
Yeh Because I was the plot villain, and they weren't.
"Yeah, that bastard is gaining fame recently in the academy. He's already acquainted with Princess Arielle and some other girls from major houses," Cloudy added.
"Yeah, that's one more reason to wipe that bastard off the planet."
"Yeah, about him…"
Liam the protagonist wasn't the type to chase after someone repeatedly. Once he saw your past deeds, he'd give you a chance to prove yourself based on your actions. His approach was rooted in a genuine sense of goodwill—he believed in letting people improve and showing them mercy, rather than relentlessly pursuing them.
How am I gonna tell them I don't have any mood for revenge on him? But he did give me a pretty bad beating. If anyone else were in my place, they'd be burning with anger and ready to explode.
"We'll think about that later on, but there's a big problem, actually."
"Big problem?" They both exclaimed.
"What's the problem, Akashi? Everything alright?" Cloudy asked.
"What happened? Did you get your ass kicked by your house or what?" Sunny mocked, jokingly.
I stared at him without speaking. Wow, this bastard is psychic.
I don't know what they'll think of me if I tell them. Will they leave? I mean, they have no reason to follow me at this point, right?
People follow you mainly because of your power and authority; their loyalty is grounded in fear and self-interest, not genuine respect. True influence isn't about the force you wield but the trust and admiration you cultivate. Akashi, the bastard, didn't have that.
But
Without hesitation, I decided to tell them.
"Well, you see, your guess is right. I've been disowned i said casually, not wanting to make it too suspenseful.
For a few seconds, they just stared at me blankly.
"For real?"
"Yeah, for real."
I looked at their reactions. Will they shout at me now? Leave the room and never talk to me again?
Sunny slowly looked at the ground, his face unreadable. But then, suddenly—
"Buahahahahahaha!"
"Huh?"
"Buhaha! Can't believe it, bro! You actually got wrecked by your proud daddy!"
"Bwahaha!"
This bastard, I'm gonna kill him. But before he could laugh any more, Cloudy punched him in the head, knocking him silent.
"That's pretty bad. Now you're on your own, without the privilege. That's pretty hard."
"Yeah, but I'll figure things out."
Standing up again like a dead zombie, Sunny said, "Well, don't worry about that, bro. We're with you. It's not like your family name or any of that bullshit matters."
Even I don't give a fuck about my family. They just burden you with expectations and responsibilities ignoring your efforts
Cloudy nodded in agreement.
Though, that's a different case, Sunny. You actually don't have anything they could pin their expectations on.
Keep your mouth shut; I was just trying to sound cool...
Surprisingly, I didn't expect them to stick around. Are they really serious?
"Wait, are you guys for real? I heard you right—I don't have a family name now."
"Wait, bro, what do you think of us? You better not think of us as those gold-digging bitches who go to clubs with you but leave you at the doorway after you've paid all the bills," Sunny shouted, pretty annoyed.
"Yeah, it's not like we cared about our families in the first place. My dad always says, 'Friends are the family we choose, and it shouldn't be bound by status or whatever.'"
I couldn't help but feel a little joy in my heart.
Geez in this world I am not alone..
These idiots aren't like what I thought them to be.
"Hey, that's not what I meant," I tried to shrug off the matter.
Trying to move past the earlier topic, I decided to ask a different question—one that seemed more pressing.
"Hey, you guys ever heard of someone called Deva?"
"Deva? Who's that?" Cloudy asked.
"Who's that, bro? Never heard of it," Sunny chimed in.
Their lack of surprise suggested they were hearing the name for the first time. I explained, "It's not just something I read in books. I was trying to gather more info."
"Huh? You read books other than 'Po*nhwas'? Since when?" Sunny asked in suprise
"Ah, you bastard! I don't read them all the time.
Akashi might have a collection, though. I'll check later."
"Anyway, what about Narakasura? What do you know about him?" I asked.
"Narakasura? Isn't he that mythical demon? I've heard about him and his stories since childhood," Sunny said.
"Yeah, though he's just a fairy tale, nothing more," Cloudy added.
"But if you want to research them, you can check out the XYSYRS Mega Library. They have everything you could ask for," Cloudy suggested.
"Yeah, he's right. The Mega Library at XYSYRS is probably one of the largest in the Academy. You need special access to visit all areas, but I should be fine with the basic floor for now," I thought, making a mental note to visit the library.
"Anyway, what got you interested in these mythical stories?" Cloudy asked.
"Nothing much, just find them interesting. I might join the Scripture and History Research Club."
"Huh, bro, you don't sound like yourself today," Sunny said, lying down with a concerned look.
"Yeah, Akashi, is your mental health alright? Did you experience PTSD after what that guy did?" Cloudy asked.
"Hey, that's not…"
Damn it an actually going out of akash's character to much this guys is a bastard i had to remember
"Anyway, you carrot-top and wannabe emo bastards, do you have any other business, or are you going to sleep here?" I asked, cutting off the conversation.
Caught off guard by my sudden loudness, they flinched.
"Ah, yeah, now you sound like yourself, bro," Sunny said, smirking. "An overcooked spoiled brat."
"What did he just say? This bastard, I'm definitely going to kill him."
"Anyway, we just came here to check if everything seems fine," Sunny said.
"Yeah," Cloudy agreed.
"Okay, see you at the academy tomorrow. Yoyoyo!" Sunny said as they prepared to leave.
"Wait," I said suddenly.
Sunny flinched at my voice. "What's up, bro?"
"How many comics have you piled into your shirt since you got here?"
"Huh?"
"Ah, never mind," I said, kicking Sunny and Cloudy.
"Hey, but why me?" Cloudy protested.
"Sorry, but you two are frogs of the same pond. Anyway, see you tomorrow at the academy."
Sighing tiredly as I looked at the ceiling, I thought, "So this is it. I actually have some pawns—that's good. I need more, though.
Friends, huh? Right Friends…"
