Classes are finally over, and I'm back in my dorm. Today was rough, between sparring with Vali and that unexpected variable showing up out of nowhere. Beyond that, though, nothing major really happened.
The day just passed by, with everyone's attention on Liam. Word spread fast about him allegedly hurting a fellow student during what was supposed to be a friendly spar. His circle shrank overnight, leaving him in a tight spot. Thinking about it, I can't help but wonder how that variable came into play. Something like that shouldn't have happened this early in the novel.
Liam's supposed to be gaining popularity right now—both for his skills and his good-hearted nature.
So what gives? Was my arrival the cause of the change? By just showing up, did I alter things? Nah, that doesn't seem right. I distinctly remember Akashi being part of the story for quite some time before anything big happened, so this shouldn't be on me.
Still, Liam has friends who could help him through this mess. As for me, I don't really have anything to do with it… unless, of course, I have to step in to earn some Creation Points or secure a few more allies.
Speaking of Creation Points, I did rack up quite a bit today. Whether it was from fighting Vali or that other incident, I'm not sure, but I'm not complaining.
100 CREATION POINTS
I felt a surge of joy creep through me as I looked at that number.
staring at that number for a moment, pondering. A hundred points," I say aloud, leaning back against the wall. "Is that a lot… or barely anything?" My fingers drum against my thigh as I think about what to create first
The points that allow me to create anything. Literally anything, as long as the points are enough. With 100 points at my disposal, I started to wonder whether that's a lot or barely anything. What should I create first?
There's a ton of stuff I want—rare artifacts, powerful weapons—but those are bound to cost a fortune in points. According to the description, the rarer the item, the more it'll cost. Even knowing that, I couldn't quite shake the thought of creating something insane.
So I thought, "Screw it,
create a mini Tsar Bomba—the strongest nuke ever made.
NOT ENOUGH CREATION POINTS
I sigh, disappointment crashing into me like a brick wall. "Of course," I groan, rubbing my temples Yeah, I figured as much. Disappointment hit me like a brick wall. I guess I don't have enough points to create something that powerful just yet. I need more Creation Points. A lot more. I already planned to accumulate as many as possible, so maybe I should start smaller.
Shaking my head, I mutter under my breath, "Guess I'll have to stick to more realistic goals for now.
I lean back and start pacing the room. "Alright, think… If I can't go big yet, what should I create?
How about a semi-version of one of the Seven Heavenly Swords? Maybe Vajra, with its absolute power of light over darkness, or Nandaka, the sword of divine justice. Having one of those would be a serious power boost. But then again, even their semi-versions are bound to drain a ridiculous amount of Creation Points. I'll think about that later.
For now, potions seem like the best option—something simple like strength or recovery potions to help me get stronger. The academy provides some good stuff too, but that's limited and only given out based on our abilities. And, let's be honest, I'm broke as hell right now. So using Creation Points to enhance my body makes the most sense before I go after any major weapons.
Still, I have to be careful. Earning these points feels like a double-edged sword. They can help, but if I'm not careful, they could alter the flow of the story or mess up future arcs. I'll just have to make sure whatever unfolds, I'm involved without causing too much disruption.
Without wasting another second, I pull up the creation screen. My fingers move with purpose, scribbling down the details. A few seconds later,
Without further hesitation, I got to work. I scribbled down the creation, and within seconds,
the potions materialized out of thin air, like they had been summoned from another dimension. I had created two low-level strength potions for 50 points and one mid-level potion that cost me another 50.
"Dammit, these things cost more than I thought," I muttered, feeling the burn in my remaining points. "Looks like I'm gonna have to hustle hard to earn more Creation Points from now on."
Still, I wasn't planning on taking the potions just yet. Since arriving at the academy, my sleep schedule has been completely out of whack. Not that I'm trying to fix it, though. Instead, I've been using my nights to get a feel for this body—to train like hell since day one.
This body is fragile, with low potential at the moment, but I have a plan. I know a method that could help me break through my limits, but that's something for a few weeks down the line. I'll wait until the time is right.
For now, I just need to push myself as hard as I can.
I stood up, getting ready to train. After changing into a tracksuit for comfort, I looked in the mirror and nodded to myself. "Yeah, this'll do."
It was already night, so most people were in their dorms. But not me. I had one destination in mind: the training grounds.
Without wasting any more time, I slipped out of my room and headed for the training grounds, eager to push my limits once again.
