Chapter 30 - Chapter 30: Issue Regarding the Follow-up Potion Formula

Diviner = seer

"How does it feel to become a Diviner?"

"Not bad…" Klein replied, but suddenly felt a sharp pain in his forehead, causing him to frown.

Seeing Klein's expression, Lin Ruo immediately guessed what was happening and said, "I suggest you turn off your Spirit Vision quickly! You've just advanced to a Beyonder, and keeping your Spirit Vision on puts a heavy burden on your 'spirit body' and continuously consumes energy. Trust me, if you keep it on, it won't just be your forehead hurting, but your whole head, and you might even start hallucinating."

Old Neil nodded in agreement and explained further to Klein, echoing what he had said in the original work.

Why do I feel like both of you are enjoying this… Klein thought to himself, then asked, "How do I turn off Spirit Vision?"

Lin Ruo and Old Neil exchanged a glance, and Lin Ruo gestured for Old Neil to explain. After all, Lin Ruo was still somewhat of a novice in the Beyonder field, despite having the original work as a foundation and some knowledge from the original owner. In terms of basic knowledge, he couldn't compare to someone like Old Neil, who had an official background.

So, while Old Neil taught Klein the basics of Spirit Vision, Lin Ruo listened attentively. After the lesson, there was a knock on the door, and Lin Ruo saw Leonard standing at the entrance of the alchemy room.

Leonard, unaware of what had happened, looked relaxed and as carefree as ever. His good looks and natural poet's aura made his nonchalance seem like a positive trait.

Who would think that someone with such a face and aura could only write poems like "The sea, oh, it's full of water"… Lin Ruo thought, but didn't say anything.

Leonard smiled and said, "Good morning, Old Neil, Klein, and Your Excellency!"

He looked at Klein and said, "Congratulations, Klein. How does it feel to become a Beyonder?"

"Very good!" Klein replied with a smile.

Leonard examined him and then said, "It seems so… By the way, is something going on here? The captain told me to ask you for details."

Klein's smile faded, and he became serious. He organized his thoughts and briefly explained Old Neil's situation.

Leonard was clearly shocked, his expression blank. He looked at Old Neil, opened his mouth, but seemed unsure of what to say.

"Hey, why do you all look like I'm about to lose control any second? Things aren't that bad, right? Relax!" Old Neil said, smiling to comfort Leonard. Despite being the one affected, he seemed calmer and more optimistic than the others.

"I'm not… Old Neil, I just didn't expect…" Leonard stammered, not knowing what to say, and finally said, "I'm just too surprised… How could this happen, how could this happen…"

He then seemed to realize he shouldn't show such despair, forced a smile, and said, "You're right, things aren't that bad! Old Neil, you'll be fine!"

Though a bit melodramatic and overly sentimental, he genuinely cares about his companions… Klein thought, then heard Lin Ruo's voice:

"Let's go, Klein, you need to rest!"

Klein instinctively looked in Lin Ruo's direction but saw nothing since his Spirit Vision was off.

He was used to this and nodded, saying goodbye to Old Neil and Leonard before leaving the alchemy room.

Outside the Blackthorn Security Company, Klein didn't immediately board the tram but looked back at the building and whispered, "The Beyonder world seems harsher than I thought!"

Although Old Neil hadn't lost control, the fact that someone who had taught him mysticism was facing such a threat was enough to make Klein uncomfortable and alert.

Lin Ruo, hearing this, wasn't surprised and said, "Regretting becoming a Beyonder?"

"No, just feeling a bit emotional," Klein shook his head, not wanting to dwell on the heavy topic. He then said, "By the way, the Nighthawks don't seem to have the formula for the next potion in the Diviner pathway… I don't know where to find the Sequence 8 formula."

No, the Nighthawks have it. The Goddess even imprisoned Little Ant and hid a "Fool" card… Lin Ruo thought, but then said teasingly, "I can't say for sure if the Nighthawks have it, since I'm only half an official Beyonder… But I do know where to find the Sequence 8 formula for the Diviner pathway."

Klein looked in Lin Ruo's direction and said, "You know?"

Lin Ruo replied slowly, "You know about the Blasphemy Slate, right?"

Klein nodded, having a vague guess.

Lin Ruo confirmed his guess, "I once saw the Blasphemy Slate for the Diviner pathway due to some accidents… So I not only know the Sequence 8 formula, but also the ones for Sequence 7, Sequence 6, and even Sequence 0."

This wasn't entirely a lie, as Lin Ruo had read Lord of the Mysteries, and in it, Klein had seen the "Fool" card. So, in a way, saying he had seen the Blasphemy Slate wasn't wrong.

"You have a complete divine pathway?" Klein was both excited and shocked.

"You could say that!" Lin Ruo nodded with a smile, "How does it feel? You won't have to worry about potion formulas anymore…"

Before Klein could react, Lin Ruo continued, "But let me be clear, I won't give you these formulas for free! The mysticism knowledge I taught you was a hometown benefit, but even brothers settle accounts clearly. If you want the formulas, you can buy them with money, items, or other things!"

"Of course, I'll give you a 50% discount for being a fellow countryman!"

Although Lin Ruo was determined to cultivate Klein into the Lord of Mysteries, he had no intention of giving the formulas for free.

Spoiling someone won't help them grow into the Lord of Mysteries; they need to understand that everything comes at a price.
