Synopsis
Book 2 is underway! In the fractured elven realm of Elysium, five clans: High, Sun, Dark, Moon, and Forest elves. They live divided by centuries old prejudice and scars from a devastating civil war. Once united, the clans now linger in distrust, their lands and cultures isolated. As a dark and ancient evil begins to stir, threatening both Etherworld, the realm of the living, and Netherworld, the land of the dead, the fragile balance between life and death is on the brink of collapse. To prevent the realm’s descent into chaos, an unprecedented marriage is arranged between the two most powerful clans. Orion, the first female high elf born in over a millennium and the physical embodiment of Nether, the god of death, is forced to wed Theo, the fiery sun elf prince tied to Ether, the god of life. Their union is a political maneuver to bridge the divide between their peoples, but it quickly becomes clear that their destiny is far greater than a mere treaty. Together, they are thrust into the heart of a prophecy that foretells the unification or destruction of Elysium. As unrest brews among the clans, Orion and Theo embark on a perilous journey to unite the elves against the rising darkness. Their path takes them through glittering courts, ancient ruins, and shadowed forests as they unravel the secrets of the gods who created their world. Along the way, they recruit allies from each of the clans and face enemies who would see their union and the realm destroyed. Confronting their own fears, the weight of their lineage, and the volatile magic they wield, Orion and Theo must not only learn to trust each other but also embrace the duality of their powers, life and death, to stand against an unimaginable evil. This sweeping epic unfolds against a backdrop of high stakes and rich world-building. Chapter 1 - She’s Hopeless.

Javier was my favorite of the boys around Aelindor that I played with. He was handsome. He had black hair and soft pale skin, his chiseled jaw line and summer green eyes. His plump lips pressed to mine, our tongues dancing in each other's mouth. Sitting on a crate in an alley near the market square. I spread my legs for him. When I did I could feel the hardness of him pressing against me. Sliding his hand between us rubbing on my sensitive spot. A moan tries to escape my mouth, but it was hushed by his. I stroked the length of him, up and down outside his pants.

"You drive me crazy. Fuck I shouldn't be doing this." Javier said. "You're the princess. If your mother caught us she skin you and cut my dick off."

"Shhh less talking, more kissing." I pull his face back to mine pressing his body into mine more. I wrap my legs around him and grind on him moving my pelvis up and down and his groin. He was always prettier when his mouth was shut. He groans in my mouth. Rubbing against him again, I could feel my underwear moisten from my excitement. He reaches under my shirt, cupping my breast, he rubs his thumb across my tips. I couldn't help but think about what he said. My mom would so kick our ass if she caught us. Why did he have to open his mouth? Now I can't stop thinking about it. pulling back. Shit, I'm supposed to be looking for Faith. Ugh, the suns too high I'm gonna be late. I removed his hands and slid

down from the crate. I lean over and kiss him on his cheeks. He whole face turns bright red.

"Thanks, that was fun" I said, "I've gotta run now, I'm already late to my studies and I still haven't found Faith."

I wave and run off heading back to the palace. I lost a baby griffin, blew off my studies, but found a friend to play with instead.

Shoot. My mom was gonna kill me.

"ORION" screamed my mother from across the courtyard. "What's your excuse for missing your morning classes today?"

"Would you believe me if I told you a Faith escaped again and I just couldn't let our sweet girl go with no breakfast, so I went to find her AND breakfast?" I said with a sarcastic undertone. I know I was gonna pay for that with a good tongue lashing later because at that moment my 2 older brothers had walked in.

"Even if I did believe you, Emmery works with the stables. You, my painful disappointment missed class and an important invitation, you should run up stairs and get ready" My mother had started to say but was interrupted by my brothers.

"Mother stop giving her such a hard time, you know she's a bit lacking upstairs, what a shame, all beauty no brains, our poor baby sister." Alistar teased me. Him and Alderic walked up behind me.

Alderic scoops me up from behind, spinning me. I laugh loudly

"You know you're lucky Riccy here is holding me back, or I'd show you how I compensate for my 'brainlessness'." I sneer back at Alistar the younger of my two older brothers. My mother just scoffs and walks away, grumbling about how hopeless I am.

Orion was princess of the High Elf Clan. Her mother is Queen Andromeda and her father King Osiris. She is the youngest of 8 children and the only girl. The oldest is Alderic and than Alistar, Arragon and Oleander are twins, and then came Elliot, Erinn, and Emmery. Orion is skilled in all forms of combat, but she was best with ranged style, she could throw a dagger and hit a copper piece from over 50ft. Her eyesight was on par if not better with the best warriors in Elysium. She wasn't just skilled in physical combat; she was also a skilled necromancer.

Her mother disapproved of her constant need to practice combat. She needed Orion to focus more on her studies. It wasn't as though elven women couldn't fight or join the guard; they had the same status as men. Equals. Which was rare out all of the territories there were only two out of the five kingdoms like hers. But she wasn't just a regular girl, no, she was royalty, she had expectations. The first girl born into the royal family in over 5000 years, there were a lot of expectations. She was loved by all her brothers, and they would kill to protect her.

Orion had blown off her studies that morning because she really was catching Faith, the baby griffin that had escaped and instead she spent most of that time with a Javier, her brother's friend. Thank the gods her brothers had stumbled into the courtyard saving her from the immediate lecture, the one her mother was bound to give her later about her "duties" as a princess.

Just after my mother left, the missing griffin had come falling from the sky right next to Alistar, shaking the ground next to him, he stumbled forcing him to lean on Faith so he could try and stabilize, but she nipped at him and growled. Alistar quickly moving to the side away from the griffin, clearly uncomfortable. Faith moved toward me giving a nudge for attention.

"Faith I was looking for you all morning, you know that? I even had to skip my studies and breakfast, where did you run off too?" I said grabbing her feathery face. She nuzzled the side of my face. I loved faith she was there the night she was born and has grown up along side Faith, Faith had just started to learn to fly and like me, wasn't to keen on the new rules that followed.

Alistar dusting himself off "dirty creatures griffins"

I whisper something in faith ears, and she grunts in agreement.

I start scratching Faith under ear by her neck and her leg starts shaking like a dog.

And then she falls right on top of Alistar.

Crushing under her body she starts a scolding "Rion your finished you little shit head"

Alderic and I bent over his knees laughing.

Alistar starts to slide out from under Faith.

"Ahhh shoot I gotta run see ya Alderic"

"I'll be seeing you Rion I know where you sleep!" He called out after to me

I'll be locking my door tonight for sure.

Before Alistar could get up and chase me, I make a break for the palace kitchen back doors.

I quickly made it to the kitchen from the side door thats across from the garden. Excited to tell the kitchen people about Alistars mighty fall.

I bust through the side door with a dramatic front flip and a twirl, stopping in front of them crossing my legs I take a bow. The staff was buzzing with news. I hadn't noticed all the commotion on the palace grounds until now. I see them standing around the kitchen island table chatting away completely engulfed in what they were doing and the conversation they were having.

I clear my throat catching their attention, and their faces dropped, they had gone completely silent.

Weird…

"What's with the silent treatment?" I asked suspiciously. They just look at me with faces of sadness and pity, confusion, and nervousness. Taken aback by their response to my grand entrance I try and pretend like it didn't happen and start talking casually.

"Hey guys, what the hell? I just came through the door with what might have been my best landing this week. And I'm greeted with silence and not applause. Kinda hurts my feelings."

A an older woman took a step toward me. It was Marcy, my personal maidservant, she had always been like a second mother to me and I was like a daughter to her. Her hair grey and black wrapped in a bun, a few strands lingering from a morning's worth of work. Her skin pale with a tiny a hint of blue to it. As did all the Moon Elves. She always looked like, I don't know how to say it, like home. Ya that's it, home. Her hands clasped in front of her, heels clicking on the floor with each step under her dress, as she closes the gap, I can see tears swelling, she tries to blink them away.

"Oh, my sweet girl" she says embracing me.

Shocked, I wrap my arms loosely around her "Marcy what's wrong, is everything okay, what's going on?"

Concern rising in my voice. She never cries. Ever.

"It's best to have the King and Queen tell you, child, they wish to see you in the kings study." She says to me releasing me from the hug taking my hands into hers patting them, looking up at me with a pitiful forced smile.

"Ughh.. What? I just saw her and she didn…" I began but she interrupted me "well now off you go, you know how much your mother adores waiting."

I could tell she was trying to lighten things a bit she didn't want to worry me.

I let her think it worked and chuckled "you're right I'll go see what all this" I gestured to the room of people now staring at us "is all about."
