Chapter 20 - Chapter - 20 Ill Will Hunting

Todd's Point Of View

Todd was furious. He watched the video playback on a loop, multiple times. Not only had Sujin Clay figured out where Yuki lived, but he had planned to drug and abduct him. He also wasn't alone this time. There were 3 other assailants in the video.

Todd pulled up the CCTV cameras within a two mile radius and studied each one, minute by minute, once they had left Yuki's apartment in a huff.

Sujin was a sick POS, who seemed good at hiding like a rat. He had gone MIA for three years after his attempt to purchase Yuki fell through, thanks to Myah. He left a heavy scar on Yuki's mental state, like a piece of him had died that day he was abducted. Yuki never talked about what happened, but medical reports don't lie. He had been beaten so much he had three broken ribs, a fractured left leg, cuts riddled his body, malnutrition, and above all he was sodomized by objects unknown to the doctor and Myah's team.

It was enough to make ones blood boil, and Yuki seemed to blame himself more than anything else. That had been the final straw for Todd. Yuki, for the most part was a quiet kid, after the death of his parents he spent two years in psychiatric care, it took him nearly all two years to say even one word.

When he finally spoke, all he did was cry and say 'sorry' over and over again. It was soul crushing. After that Myah pulled some strings and had her mother become acting guardian to Yuki.

Yuki ended up staying with Myah for two days before they had to get him his own place. Myah's uncles were dangerous even by her standards and they had started paying a little too much attention to Yuki, more specifically to his bathing schedule and frequently "stumbled" across him at the same time. Yuki may not know it, but Myah's uncles had offered her over 100 Million dollars to keep him. She had bought Yuki his first apartment three hours later.

The first few nights of him staying in his new apartment were terrible, and bordered the word unstable. It was the first time Todd had been given a babysitting job. He didn't mind since Yuki was a really smart and really nice kid, he just trusted people to a fault. His parents never told him how the world would see him, that his beauty could also attract the wrong company to keep.

They only taught him to see the good in others, he became optimistic to a fault because of it. He also didn't have a clear grasp on his beauty, he just found it uncomfortable to be looked at all the time.

On the first night in his new apartment, Yuki's nightmarish screams had alerted Todd outside his bedroom immediately. Upon closer inspection he seemed to be fighting his assailants in his sleep. Tears streaming down his face, body flailing around. Todd knew he couldn't out right shake him awake, but he also couldn't leave him in the throes of a terrible nightmare.

Just as Todd was contemplating his choices, he heard Yuki's broken sobs.

He had stopped flailing by this point curling into himself and sobbing in his sleep. Todd went over to him and stroked his hair. He pulled Yuki into a tight embrace and repeated that it wasn't his fault, until he calmed down.

The nightmares persisted for almost two weeks. Todd realized he found out a lot about Yuki watching him sleep for that time.

Yuki didn't like Todd standing at the door, nor standing in his room, so he forced the man to sit in the bed with his back against the headboard and his shoes still on. Todd quickly became Yuki's coping mechanism, he would instinctively reach out for him in his sleep, checking if Todd was still by his side. It was a small action, but one that was adorably endearing.

Todd also realized that there was a lot of buried trauma Yuki kept to himself. There were often names mentioned that Todd hadn't heard before. It probably played a significant role in his life of seclusion.

College was an especially hellish time for Yuki. Todd had gladly gone undercover as a big brother to ensure he wasn't unduly treated. However, the amount of people who were threatened or paid to leave Yuki alone just kept growing.

That was how Todd met Sujin. When paying him off didn't work, they moved to indirect threats. This seemed to stroke the man's ego, his stalking intensified. They had snuck Yuki up to the roof of his building, and watched through the CCTV as Sujin walked through Yuki's apartment, running his hands over his clothes.

He laid in down in Yuki's bed and smelled his pillows deeply. Then he sat there waiting for Yuki for two and a half hours before giving up and leaving. He then waited outside his apartments all night.

Hey had taken Yuki through a few back alleys to get to the car, but there was a fatal flaw in their plan. When they reached the car and he put Yuki in, the doors automatically locked, the car started, and sped off before Todd could do anything. He had felt a great personal loss in that moment. He worked for days without sleep to find Yuki.

After he found Yuki, and witnessed the state he was in, Todd swore he would kill Sujin Clay with his bare hands the next time he found him. So he would do everything,  anything, to find him this time around.

He stopped skimming the CCTV after seeing a familiar image on the monitor. It was Sujin, going into a diner on the corner of Yuki's Street. Todd watched the screen like a hawk.

"I found you, you disgusting piece of filth! I'm going to enjoy watching you bleed out, you waste of breath!"

Todd called up the boys, some would canvas, some would trail, others would track, but for Todd he would continue to watch Sujin's every move from the moment he left the diner.

He watched Sujin walk down multiple streets, turn a few corners, and then climbed into a car. Todd wrote down the plate number and tagged it in the traffic cameras.

'I'll get this bastard, even if it kills me.'
