Where have Hong Jiaxin's parents gone? There's been no news at all.
Days passed, and suddenly two strangers appeared, claiming they were there to take Hong Jiaxin away. It was too much to accept.
Luo Yang had promised Hong Jiaxin's father he would protect his precious daughter.
Without certainty, Luo Yang would not let Hong Jiaxin risk her safety.
"I'll send someone with you, it won't take long. Once it's confirmed, I will go with her," Luo Yang said.
"Handsome, are you worried we can't protect Jiaxin?" the long-haired woman sneered.
"That's not what I mean. She's fine staying at home," Luo Yang said.
Her parents hadn't returned after so many days.
Now that there was finally news of her parents, Hong Jiaxin was eager to see them as soon as possible.
Hong Jiaxin had considered the dangers of the journey, but compared to her anxious longing for her parents, these risks seemed insignificant.
"Luo Yang, come with me," Hong Jiaxin insisted.
She felt that with Luo Yang accompanying her, there would be no danger.
However, she had forgotten that Luo Yang was also human, not an immortal deity.
"Class monitor, don't rush. I'd like to have a private talk with these two, may I?" Luo Yang politely said.
Seeing Hong Jiaxin nod, Luo Yang led the two strangers aside.
Under the roadside pine trees, the three of them stood together.
Luo Yang had checked the two individuals' belongings using his glance ability and saw that both were carrying cell phones.
"You didn't bring cell phones here, did you?" Luo Yang casually said.
"For safety, we didn't bring them," the long-haired woman nodded.
After hearing this, Luo Yang wanted to laugh.
Clearly, both had cell phones on them, yet they were blatantly lying.
That alone made it impossible for Luo Yang to trust them.
Having experienced certain events, Luo Yang had also learned to be discreet. He subtly asked, "Can you tell me where you plan to take her?"
The square-faced man and the long-haired woman exchanged a look, obviously seeking a suitable reply.
"Young man, please don't mind. For safety reasons, we cannot disclose the location to you," the square-faced man said.
"If you don't even trust me, how can I trust you?" Luo Yang scoffed.
These two strangers felt like enemies to Luo Yang.
"Handsome, you misunderstand us. We trust your character, but for Jiaxin's safety, we cannot tell you now," the long-haired woman said.
"What's the situation with her parents now?" Luo Yang inquired.
"They're fine. You don't need to worry," the long-haired woman responded smoothly.
If not for the x-ray ability, it would indeed be tough to judge whether these two strangers were trustworthy.
Hong Jiaxin was standing dozens of meters away, looking over anxiously.
Luo Yang knew Hong Jiaxin was desperate to meet her parents, but he still could not let her go with strangers.
Yet convincing Hong Jiaxin would be difficult.
Fortunately, he now saw many suspicious aspects in these strangers, and there was no need for further hesitation.
"Then you two wait for us at the village chief's grocery store. We'll say our goodbyes to the others, then meet up with you there," Luo Yang said.
"Okay, make it quick. Our car is parked there," the long-haired woman replied joyfully.
Seeing the two strangers walk away, Hong Jiaxin was very curious.
When Luo Yang approached, Hong Jiaxin asked, "What's going on?"
Luo Yang said, "Let's talk inside."
Scanning the beautiful people around, he added, "Sister An, Sister Piao, I need to talk privately with the class monitor for a moment."
He then took Hong Jiaxin upstairs and into a room.
Hong Jiaxin anxiously asked, "You sent them away?"
Luo Yang shook his head and softly said, "I discovered a secret."
He then recounted the matter regarding the cell phones, only he didn't mention it was observed through the x-ray ability but rather casually noticed that the long-haired woman had a cell phone in her pocket.
"You saw them wrong, didn't you?" Hong Jiaxin asked suspiciously.
"Class monitor, trust me. Those two are not good people," Luo Yang urged.
"What if they really are my relatives?" Hong Jiaxin asked.
The two strangers had phones, but it was hard to deny they were not Hong Jiaxin's relatives.
"How about this, I'll go with those two, and you stay at home," Luo Yang instructed.
"I'm coming with you," Hong Jiaxin said.
"Don't. It's easier for me to get away alone. It's very dangerous inside," Luo Yang said.
Hong Jiaxin still wanted to go, but agreed reluctantly after Luo Yang persuaded her.
Seeing that Luo Yang brought nothing with him, Hong Jiaxin asked curiously, "Aren't you going to change clothes tonight?"
Luo Yang laughed, "It's okay not to change."
Actually, he felt that it wouldn't be long before the two strangers would make their move.
He just wanted to figure out who they were.
An Yuying and the other beauties were shocked when they heard Luo Yang was going with the two strangers.
Especially since no one knew where they were headed.
"Cowboy, it's dangerous," An Yuying advised.
"Sister An, it's okay. I can take care of myself," Luo Yang reassured.
"How about calling someone to go with you?" An Yuying said softly.
"Got it. I've already thought of someone. I'm going now," Luo Yang said, then instructed Hong Jiaxin, "Class monitor, if more strangers come, don't trust what they say easily."
Hong Jiaxin wanted to go with him, but Luo Yang strongly opposed it and she could only stay in Qin Piao's home feeling down.
If something dangerous occurred on the way, Luo Yang was confident he could escape, but with Hong Jiaxin, he'd have to protect her too, which would only heighten the burden and make survival more difficult.
As Luo Yang approached the village chief's grocery store, the two strangers looked at each other, wondering why he was alone.
"Where's Jiaxin?" the long-haired woman asked.
"We'll talk about it once we're in the car," Luo Yang said.
While talking, Luo Yang had already opened the car door and got into the back seat.
The long-haired woman also got in, and the square-faced man drove.
The car slowly headed towards the village entrance.
"What's going on? We agreed that you'd bring Jiaxin along, why isn't she here?" the long-haired woman complained.
"She said to let me check her parents first. I can stay over there. Then you can pick her up later," Luo Yang said.
"That's too much hassle, just bring her along," the long-haired woman sulked.
"Just hurry up and take me there. As long as I verify everything, it'll be fine. Let's go. I can stay there for a few days," Luo Yang said.
At this moment, the square-faced man spoke.
Just as Luo Yang expected, the square-faced man showed his true colors.
"Let's stop talking and just take him first. Let him meet Jiaxin's parents, then he won't suspect us," the square-faced man said.
"Fine. But it's not easy coming here. It's extra trips," the long-haired woman still complained.
The license plate was from out of town.
Of course, the plate could be fake, and Luo Yang couldn't be sure where the two strangers were really from.
The car slowly got onto the highway and then sped toward the county town.
"Miss, I suddenly thought of something, I don't know if I should ask," Luo Yang said seriously.
"What is it?" the long-haired woman asked curiously.
"If I go with you, and you detain me, then come back to pick up Jiaxin, that'd work too, right?" Luo Yang pretended to be shocked.
Hearing this, the square-faced man laughed.
The long-haired woman also laughed, "You're always worrying about this and that, what's the point of living like that?"
The moment she said those words, it sounded like they were about to make a move.
Luo Yang feigned concern, "How about this, send me back first, then we'll find another way to verify your identities, okay?"
Only to see the long-haired woman smiling with a raised corner of her mouth, "You don't have a say in this now!"
