Chapter 301 - Chapter 0301: Sworn Sister's Loyalty

At that moment, the two were descending the stairs, with Luo Yang leading the way.

Luo Yang took a quick step down, and Hong Jiaxin tried to kick him again by lifting her leg higher and farther.

In her numerous sparring sessions with Luo Yang, Hong Jiaxin had never won.

She couldn't even manage to touch the hem of his garment, which was something Hong Jiaxin felt extremely reluctant to accept.

This again ignited her fighting spirit, making her want to land a kick on Luo Yang.

But Luo Yang knew Shadow Boxing, and would automatically dodge whenever an opponent attacked.

Usually, on level ground, Hong Jiaxin managed slightly better, but now, as they were descending stairs, she raised her right foot and her body tilted downwards, unable to bring the foot back to step on the stair.

Just as she was taken aback, she saw Luo Yang quickly steadying her.

"Class monitor, be careful!"

As he spoke, Hong Jiaxin barely stabilized herself.

If it weren't for Luo Yang, she would have fallen down the stairs.

"It's all your fault!"

While Hong Jiaxin was panting heavily, she waved her little fists, hitting Luo Yang.

"Class monitor, it's okay now, don't be scared," Luo Yang said with a smile.

"Still laughing!" Hong Jiaxin continued hitting Luo Yang's head with her two small fists.

"Class monitor, I just saved you, and now you want to hit me? That's too cruel," he said.

As they spoke, Luo Yang turned and continued down the stairs.

"It's all your fault!"

Hong Jiaxin still wanted to beat up Luo Yang, chasing him down one floor and out the door.

They walked up to a Volkswagen Langyi.

"Class monitor, dare to drive?" Luo Yang said with a smile.

"Who's afraid? Let's do it," Hong Jiaxin said as she tried to sit in the driver's seat.

"Class monitor, don't mess around, you don't have a driving license," Luo Yang said with a laugh.

He then prevented her from getting into the driver's seat.

She had learned a bit about driving and really wanted to test her skills.

However, such actions couldn't be taken lightly, as they could easily lead to big problems.

Injury was a minor issue; she could lose her life.

Hong Jiaxin sneered, "I don't have a driving license, but do you have one?"

Neither of them had a driving license.

"Class monitor, my driving skills are better than yours," Luo Yang said with a smile.

"This time let me drive; just tell me how," Hong Jiaxin insisted on getting in.

Luo Yang had no choice but to stand in front to stop her from getting into the car.

"Sit on that side," he said.

The two got into the car, with Luo Yang driving.

It didn't take long to travel from the county city back to Hongyun Town's Xiaoshulin Market.

On the way, Luo Yang had Hong Jiaxin call Suyun and An Yuying to let them know he would pick them up soon.

Suyun also had to pick up some goods from Luo Yang. Although she was a salesperson, she was actually an agent. However, her sales volume wasn't as large as Chen Jie's beauty salon.

Driving up to Zhu Li's bar, seeing several cars parked outside, they knew there were more people inside besides Zhu Li.

Before getting out of the car, Luo Yang first called Zhu Li to inform her that he was outside.

Zhu Li asked Luo Yang to come in.

"Class monitor, if you don't want to listen, you can wait for me on the first floor," Luo Yang said.

"Now that we're here, what's there not to listen to?" Hong Jiaxin said.

The two walked into the bar and went upstairs.

In the third private room on the left, besides Zhu Li, there was a middle-aged man.

At a glance, Luo Yang could tell from the appearance that the middle-aged man was very likely Zhu Li's father or an uncle.

"My dad," Zhu Li introduced.

"Uncle, hello," Luo Yang greeted politely.

However, Uncle Zhu didn't react at all, his expression still very stern.

At this, Luo Yang sensed that this was not a good sign.

Uncle Zhu spoke in a cold voice, "Are you Lili's sworn brother?"

Luo Yang nodded, "Yes."

As for what was to be discussed, Luo Yang was unsure.

"Are you planning to engage in a fight to the death with the Lin family?" Uncle Zhu got straight to the point.

"Yes," Luo Yang replied.

Judging by Uncle Zhu's stern expression, this conversation was definitely not going to be pleasant.

Then Uncle Zhu said, "If you're going to play with fire with the Lin family, don't involve my daughter. We don't want to rush into this mess."

At this point, Zhu Li spoke up, "Dad, he's my sworn brother..."

Before Zhu Li could finish, Uncle Zhu angrily interrupted, "What do you know! Do you realize the price you would have to pay?"

Watching their father scold his daughter, Luo Yang and Hong Jiaxin felt slightly awkward.

"Sister Kick, Uncle Zhu, the feud between me and the Lin family doesn't need your involvement," Luo Yang said.

"That would be best!" Uncle Zhu retorted coldly.

Yet, Zhu Li was contrary.

"He's my sworn brother; if he's in trouble, I'll definitely help him!" Zhu Li asserted, her neck stiff with defiance.

"If you help him, I will sever our father-daughter relationship! What will you choose?" Uncle Zhu slammed his hand on the low tea table.

The tea and cigarettes on the table jumped up.

The atmosphere suddenly became extremely tense.

Luo Yang didn't want to see the relationship between Zhu Li and her father grow cold to the point of freezing. He hastily said, "Uncle Zhu, Sister Kick, please listen to me. This feud with the Lin family doesn't need your involvement."

But Zhu Li stubbornly said, "Since I'm your sworn sister, if you're in trouble, I'll definitely help you. No more discussion!"

Bang!

Uncle Zhu slammed the tea table again, angrily declaring, "If you choose to help him, then you and I are no longer father and daughter! You are on your own!"

He then stood up and stormed out.

Listening to the forceful stomping sound of Uncle Zhu descending the stairs, it was clear he was extremely angry.

Zhu Li picked up the cigarette box, took out a cigarette, placed it in her mouth, lit it, and took a puff.

From picking up the cigarette, lighting it, to smoking it, her hands trembled slightly.

Luo Yang and Hong Jiaxin exchanged glances.

"Sister Kick..."

"Don't say it; what I've decided won't change," Zhu Li interrupted.

After exhaling a long puff of smoke, Zhu Li extended her hand in a "please don't speak" gesture.

The Lin family dominated Hongyun Town, and ordinary families dared not provoke such a clan.

Even though the Zhu family was also a prominent family, they did not want to contest with the Lin family, as there was no value in a clash that merely revolved around a single young man—it was a loss-making proposition.

Luo Yang could understand Uncle Zhu's thinking.

If Zhu Li obeyed her father and henceforth stopped helping Luo Yang, that would be perfectly reasonable.

However, Zhu Li was now openly defying her father, and Luo Yang was grateful for that.

Yet, Luo Yang didn't want to see the Zhu family father and daughter turn against each other, and witnessing this outcome, he felt distressed and unsure about what to say.
