Chapter 58 - Chapter 058: The Daughter of a Wealthy Family

But Tang Guihua was a doctor, and she had said that Luo Yang's medical skills were excellent, which made Lin Yuqing even more puzzled.

"You need to undergo five courses of treatment, each including massage, acupuncture, and medication. Would you like to start now?" Luo Yang said.

"Have there been any cases cured before?" Lin Yuqing asked again.

"Yes."

Seeing Luo Yang speak with confidence, Lin Yuqing had no choice but to accept his treatment.

"Will you perform the massage here?" Luo Yang asked with a smile.

"Where will you massage?" Lin Yuqing asked.

"Of course, the affected part of your body," Luo Yang said seriously.

After hearing this, Lin Yuqing exchanged a glance with her mother and couldn't decide whether to let Luo Yang massage her.

At this moment, Zhang Ruotao looked Luo Yang over and said, "Young man, you're from Hongyun Town, so you must know something about our Lin Family. Our family is not like other families. We don't appreciate baseless jokes. Think it through. If you're just trying your luck, quit now; if you truly have the ability, please help cure my daughter."

"If I don't cure her, I'll give a full refund, and pay three times the money," Luo Yang said confidently.

Having said this, Lin Yuqing and Zhang Ruotao had nothing more to say.

"Come with me." Lin Yuqing, holding her fat cat, led the way to the staircase to take Luo Yang upstairs.

Luo Yang followed Lin Yuqing into her bedroom, where a warm fragrance greeted him.

The room was decorated mainly in pink. The floor and the bed were covered with cute toys – Barbie dolls, giant pandas, SpongeBob SquarePants, and so on.

"Close the door," Lin Yuqing instructed.

Luo Yang obliged and shut the door behind him, approaching the bed.

"You are the first man to touch my body. You must keep this a secret. If word gets out, I'll kill you!" Lin Yuqing said petulantly.

"Miss Lin, please don't worry. Besides me, you, and a few people outside, no one else will know about this," Luo Yang said calmly.

"There's another thing: if you can't cure my illness, I will consider it intentional advantage-taking on your part. I will settle that account with you, and you won't be able to handle it," Lin Yuqing warned half-believingly, still not fully convinced of the young Luo Yang's medical skills.

"If you keep dithering, I won't treat you. Make up your mind," Luo Yang ordered.

Having never been given orders, even by her parents, Lin Yuqing felt annoyed at the young man's audacious tone. She rolled her eyes and huffed, setting the fat cat down on the floor. After hesitating for a while, she steeled herself and did as he said.

Luo Yang moved a chair with a Hello Kitty pattern on it in front of the bed. Lin Yuqing sat on the edge of the bed, and he sat opposite her.

Fuming inside and muttering to herself, she occasionally shot cold glances at Luo Yang.

"Miss Lin, it's just you, me, heaven, and earth that know about this. Relax a little, that will make the effect even better. I'll use True Qi to massage you, which can directly penetrate the acupoints. Do you feel it?" Luo Yang reassured her.

"Are you done?" she asked, blushing.

"That's it for now. I'll give you acupuncture next," Luo Yang replied.

Upon hearing this, Lin Yuqing shivered slightly.

"Where will you insert the needles?"

"Right here, of course."

"With the needles?"

"Don't worry, it won't hurt. Just endure for a moment, it will be fine once the needle is in. It might feel a bit numb when it's first inserted, but then it gets better."

As he spoke, Luo Yang had already taken out the Silver Needle box from his pocket and opened it.

Seeing the long Silver Needles, Lin Yuqing objected, "You can't poke me with those! Did you hear me?"

Luo Yang laughed, "Would you rather have surgery?"

After some persuasion, and while she was still uncertain, Luo Yang quickly inserted a Silver Needle into her.

"It doesn't hurt, does it?" Luo Yang asked.

"It's okay, just a weird feeling," she said, frowning slightly.

"Now, I'm going to adjust the needles. You'll feel much better. Don't move, you'll start to like acupuncture," he assured her.

Then, Luo Yang began employing "Tai Gong's Invisible Needle Method," his hands moving swiftly to adjust the nine Silver Needles, some he pulled up a bit, some he inserted deeper, and some he gently shook.

Such deft skills were awe-inspiring to behold.

Gradually, the worried expression on Lin Yuqing's pretty face faded.

Half an hour later, Luo Yang extracted the nine Silver Needles and put them back in the box, saying, "The first course of treatment is over. Let's go downstairs. I'll write you a prescription so you can get the medication."

As Lin Yuqing straightened her clothes, she warned, "Don't tell anyone about what happened today."

"You can trust me with my work," he assured her.

"If I find out you've been talking to others, I'll get angry!"

"You're still fussing after it's all done?"

"You!"

Back in the living room on the first floor, Luo Yang wrote a prescription for Lin Yuqing and said he would return in a few days to administer the second course of treatment.

After Luo Yang and Tang Guihua had left, Zhang Ruotao asked, "Did it work?"

Lin Yuqing's cheeks were still red as she said, "It seems more comfortable, but I'm not sure if it's truly effective. After the second course of treatment, I'll have it checked at the hospital to know for sure."

At that moment, Zhang Ruotao's cell phone rang. Her friends were calling her to play cards, so she went upstairs to change clothes.

Lin Guofa came out from his room into the living room and asked with concern, "Sister, what were you doing in your room?"

As he spoke, he playfully raised his eyebrows with a sly smile.

"He was treating me! What are you thinking?" Lin Yuqing retorted with an annoyed tone.

Thinking back to how Luo Yang's hands had massaged her, she felt both embarrassed and irritated. She had never been touched by a man before, and now, to her surprise, a young man had done so.

"Did it have an effect?" Lin Guofa asked curiously.

"It's hard to say. It feels like it might have, but I need to check at the hospital to be certain," Lin Yuqing replied, sounding disinterested.
