Nine years went by in a flash for the young boy who was named Lucas.
He spent his time with his new family without any knowledge of his demonic side.
He learnt a lot about the world he lived in and the state it currently is.
The world had three dimensions of different sizes, shapes and habitats.
The dimensions were divided into the human realm where humans reside, dark realm where demons reside and beastkin realm where creatures who were half beast-half humans reside.
The three realms were divided by magical barriers which were invisible to the eyes of everyone except the rulers of the realms.
The leader of the realms had the power to set up portal or interdimensional gateways for people to go through from one realm to another.
The human realm welcomes all people of other races as long as they aren't a threat, the beastkin realm do the same but the dark realm is mostly closed.
The dark realm is filled with dark energy which makes its inhabitants undergo mutations causing the magical beasts turn hostile and the intelligent race turn to demons.
The dark realm is too dangerous for humans and beastkins because of the power scale of demons are different and higher from that of humans.
The dark realm is filled with natural treasures because the demon don't destroy them and or make full use of them like the humans and beastkins do.
In other words the humans and beastkins feel that the demons don't appreciate the treasures they have and this topic almost caused a war between realms but the Lord of the dark realm made some arrangements with the rulers of the other realms , now humans and beastkins are allowed to go into the dark realm but at their own risk.
Anybody from the human or beastkins realm who enters the dark realm always comes out stronger or they lose their mind or some don't even make it out alive.
This is because of the demonic energy and the insane predators who kill for fun.
For there to be peace between the three realms, the humans, demons and beastkins built cities for the settlements of people from other realms.
The demons from the dark realm rarely leaves their realm to visit other realms because they loose their energy the longer they stay in other realms.
And when their demonic energy reaches zero they loose their intelligence and start attacking anyone near them.

Lucas and the Dam family lives in one of the shared territories of the humans and beastkins.
They hid the truth of not knowing his parents and took care of him like he was their son.
Lucas lived with Gary and Marie Dam who were previously adventurers before settling down in a small remote village at the outskirts of the forest.
Gary became a hunter with a small store in the village where he sells beast parts to the villagers.
Marie became a housewife so she can take care of her daughters, Casey and Lucy. With Casey being the older one and Lucy being the younger one.
" Mom, where is Lucas". A small blonde nine year old girl asked her mother.
Her mother who seemed to be in early thirties was picking some vegetables from a field owned by her husband.
"Lucas is with Dad ". An eleven year old girl answered.
" Did they go hunting again?" Lucy asked.
" Yes "her mother answered.
" Will he be at home when we get back?" She asked with a cute expression.
" Yes, he should be at home right now"Marie replied with a smile.
"Really!" Lucy exclaimed as a blue eyes shined brightly.
" Yes, but we can't go
home without picking the vegetables" Casey replied having understood her mother's plan.
