Kadia was at her house sleeping peacefully on her bed before her sleep was interrupted by sunlight shining through the window, forcing her to open her eyes in order to stop the uncomfortable feeling. As Kadia was waking up, she could hear her parents talking down the hall in the living room; it seemed that they had guest that they did not like.
"No!! I refuse to allow my daughter to marry your son; she must learn the importance of finding love on her own!! An arranged marriage is something I, as her mother, will not allow it!" Liora shouted with anger in her voice but a tone of respect could be heard.
"Ara~~. I am just suggesting our kids get to know one another, nothing intimate yet as they are still children (for the next 5 years though)." A calmer lady voice spoke, with the last part being said under the mysterious lady voice.
All the arguing back and forth had awoken Kadia and her father, Mikhail, who were close to falling back to see. As they exited their respective rooms, they wished each other a good morning. As the father-child duo walked towards the living room, they found a surprising sight: the mayor's wife, the mayor, and Zach on one side of the room, and on the other was Liora in her morning attire of an apron and a simple dress.
"Come on, Liora, think about it; our children could make for the most powerful marriage and even more powerful children." The mayor said with a slight grin on his face, hoping that she would agree. As he was thinking of ways to convince Liora, Mikhail came in holding Kaida's hand, and the mayor thought he could use them to his advantage.
"Good morning, future chief of the hunter, Mikhail. how are you this morning? And a fine morning to you, little Kaida, how are you doing?" The mayor spoke in an overly friendly tone, making Mikhail wary of him, and his fatherly instincts kicked in as he protected Kadia.
"Good morning, uncle mayor. How are you doing today? Good morning to you too Mrs mayor how are you?" Kadia responded by moving her dad's arm so she could be heard better. She saw the mayor in his usual formal attire and his wife wearing something similar but different and more female-orientated.
Feeling that this coverage is going to get weird, Mikhail told his child to go in the backyard and go warm up before they had a small sparing session. "Ok pappa I'll go. Oh also, good morning, Zach." Kadia said in her childlike voice as she ran off, waddling into the backyard.
(outside during the 10-30 minutes)
Kadia was teaching and practicing stinking and shadow boxing. After working up a small sweat, she could hear her parents and the 2 mayors arguing inside. "So they are arguing about marriage, huh? I really don't want to be married to a racist prick like Zach. While I have this time to think, let me reflect on what has happened to me: I died while being gangbanged, got my gender changed, got blessed by multiple gods, and reincarnated as a hybrid of a cat beastman and a bunny beastman. Still get some PTSD about the banging, but thanks to Hades, I am quite calm about it. Its been a good first 10 years of life."
After a while, the 2 mayors and their son left, and an exhausted Mikhail came to the backyard and sparred with his daughter. As they began, Kadia moved with incredible speed and was as nimble as a snake, avoiding her father's attacks and delivering some powerful ones of her own. As the fight progressed, Mikhail slowly stated to move and more slowly; by the time 30 minutes were up, he had become faster than Kadia and was using more strength than her when it came to how she attacked. Each time Kadia got hit, she learnt how to defend herself from unexpected attacks or dodge them. By the end of the sparing session, it was noon, and Kadia was bruised all over her body from being hit and tossed around by her father, who gave her a choice to continue or to give up and call it a day at the 45-minute mark, but she still kept pushing, and it was resulting in her current state.
"Well done, Kadia; you improve quite quickly, and by the time we go on your coming-of-age hunt, you should do very well and make us proud." Mikhail said while lifting up his daughter and taking her to her mother, who was busy in the garden tending to flowers and vegetables as well as fruit. As she looked up, she saw her dirty and hurt husband and child. "Look at you two!! You both look like a mess, and my poor Kadia, she has lost all her cuteness. you 2 wait right there!!" Liora yelled as she hurriedly ran over to them. When she reached them she quickly healed her child then her beloved husband, lecturing them about safe sparing and how it will better for her as she does not have to worry as much about them getting hurt.
Once Kadia had washed and eaten, she went to the training center to learn about monsters, how to deal with them, and how to find their way home in the event that they ever had to venture too far into the forest.
This was the daily routine for 2 weeks before the children could join their parents and other hunters on specific kinds of hunts, mostly easy ones where the child's life is not at risk and for the elite they could hunt on 'normal' hunts which could hurt but not kill any kids. By the time the children reached 13 they could hunt without the help of the older professionals but they were still around to make sure that the kids do not fight something they cannot handle.
As the 3 years passed Kadia became a advanced user of water and earth magic as well as having gotten strong enough to defeat her father when he fights seriously and his mother when she decides to use magic without holding back. Kadia also grew to be 5ft3 with a fit but slim-curvy body. where her normal human ears would be a bunch of fur had grown and it resembled her fathers it was white at the beginning and a dark purple near the end. she had grown to like welding big swords. her favorites where blades shaped and made like katanas as a secondary and her number one spot would be a tachi a longer version of a katana which allow her to put more force and have better control of the blade and its path. She also stated to notice that she had an unreal learning speed which were blessings from the gods she served and the ones who blessed her.
She still had to deal with how Zach would bully her but she was mentally mature so she decided not to aggravate him by paying him attention he craved.
2 more years passed since the marriage date and today was the day Kadia would go on her own individually without guides to hunt her very first creature with only her peers, this was also the day she was to die.
