Chapter 18 - Chapter 10.1 - Confrontation of Power and Justice

After the first battle, Midoki and Elyra walked away from the arena, seeking a moment of tranquility away from the noise of the crowd, and sat down on a wooden bench. Midoki, with a distant expression, finally broke the silence.

- Midoki: "Elyra... Sometimes I feel afraid of my own power. I carry this immense strength, but... I don't even know for sure what I am. Each battle takes me deeper into something I barely understand, and it scares me." - Her voice low, almost hesitant.

Elyra turned to him, her eyes soft and understanding. She placed a gentle hand on Midoki's shoulder, her fingers offering a comforting touch.

- Elyra: "Midoki, don't worry. You don't need to have all the answers right now. What matters is that you move forward, one step at a time. And remember, you will never be alone. If you need me, I will always be by your side, no matter what happens." - With a firm but affectionate voice.

Midoki raised his gaze, meeting hers. For a moment, the weight of her burden seemed a little lighter.

The scene changes to the next battle.

- Announcer: "Ladies and gentlemen, prepare for the second battle of our grand tournament! On one side, the noble warrior of justice, wielding the Sword of Justice, Sir Valen! And on the other, one of the most feared combatants of this tournament, bearer of a legendary and unknown power, Midoki! This will be a fight of divine power against the fervor of justice! May the arena be the stage for an unforgettable battle!"

The arena was illuminated by the sunlight, reflecting the grandeur of the battle that was about to take place. The stands were full, and the murmur of the audience was mixed with the expectation in the air. On one side, Sir Valen, the knight of justice, emanating his Celestial Aura of Justice. On the other side, Midoki, wielder of the Shinrei of Eminence, with a presence that seemed to dominate the entire field.

As soon as the signal was given, Sir Valen activated his Shield of Light, a golden barrier enveloping him. He advanced towards Midoki, his sword shining with the energy of the Sword of Justice.

Midoki, calm, activated the Shinrei of Eminence - Yoroi. His aura of eminence was oppressive, spiritual energy beginning to flow around him, creating an armor of invisible energy that distorted space.

Sir Valen attacked first with a precise blow of the Sword of Justice, aiming at Midoki's chest. The cut shone with the light of justice, but Midoki, with a simple movement, used the Wolf Claw to parry the blow, grabbing Sir Valen's blade and dissipating part of the blade's energy. Then he slid to the side, moving with great speed and unleashed a Wolf Punch towards Valen.

Sir Valen was thrown backwards, but before he hit the ground, he quickly stabilized himself, activating the Heavenly Justice Strike. With his sword now imbued with even greater strength, he unleashed an arcing attack that sliced through the air towards Midoki.

Midoki, recognizing the seriousness of the attack, summoned the Roar of the Abyss, a wave of energy that collided with Sir Valen's attack. The two energies collided in the center of the arena, creating an explosion of light and shadow that briefly blinded the audience.

Sir Valen, giving no respite, advanced again, using Inevitable Justice. Each strike he delivered was relentless, his sword relentlessly seeking Midoki. But the warrior of eminence was agile, dodging each strike with supernatural precision.

Realizing that the combat was intensifying, Midoki decided to end the battle. With few options left, he activated the Wolf Lancer technique, condensing the spiritual energy around him into a sphere of pure Destruction. Sir Valen, feeling the pressure of the technique, raised his sword, summoning the maximum power of his Heavenly Justice Strike to block the attack.

Midoki's sphere crashed into Valen's shield, but the force was overwhelming. Even with all his will, Sir Valen was dragged backwards, his shield slowly crumbling until, with a last effort, he was thrown to the ground, his sword falling at his side.

Midoki, victorious, approached Sir Valen, who, although defeated, still maintained an expression of determination on his face. He looked at Midoki with respect, acknowledging the overwhelming strength of his opponent. Midoki approached and respectfully said:

- Midoki: "You fought with honor and justice, Sir Valen. It was an honor to face someone so worthy." Sir Valen, though defeated, looked at Midoki with admiration and wonder, recognizing the greatness of his opponent.

- Sir Valen: "Your strength is extraordinary, Midoki. May justice continue to guide your path." - He said this, outside the Dianmari Tournament arena.

The audience applauded the impressive display of power and mutual respect. Midoki advanced to the next stage of the tournament, while Sir Valen retired with dignity, proud of his performance and the honor maintained until the end.
