Currently, Midoki, Durin and Elyra are on a journey, joining forces to face threats that arise in their path. They recently dealt with Thaldirur, the Dark Elf, and now seek to gather more members for the order of new holy knights. In search of reaching the Primordial Cyclops, who is still strangely immobile inside the crack in the Plains of the Titan races, which leads to the main entrance to the Underworld (where the statue of the Cyclops sealed the passage), Midoki and his companions must cross the lands of several Titan tribes.
Three days after leaving the Forest of the Elves, the main characters rest under the moonlight around a campfire, while talking:
- Midoki: "I know that killing Thaldirur might not have been the right thing to do... but, at that moment, I felt something that I can't explain." - With a lost gaze in the flames. - "A feeling of relief, maybe even pleasure. It felt so good to finish him off." - Her voice carries a mix of guilt and confusion.
- Durin: "Midoki, I..." - With a somewhat sad expression, trying to find the right words. She starts to speak, but is interrupted before she can continue.
- Elyra: "Midoki, you were amazing. I know there is a shadow over what happened, but do not forget the good you did. You saved the Elven Forest. Without you, Thaldirur would have destroyed everything we loved." - Interrupting softly, with a smile of admiration.
- Midoki: "But what if... if there was another way? Maybe I acted too angrily..." - Looking up at Elyra, with a sad expression.
- Elyra: "Sometimes, we do not have the luxury of thinking about all the possibilities. You did what needed to be done to protect those who could not protect themselves. And in the end, that is what matters." - Placing her hand on Midoki's shoulder, firmly but tenderly.
- Durin: "Elyra is right, Midoki. We all carry the weight of the decisions we make, but don't forget the lives you saved... that we saved." - Her eyes shine with understanding, although there is still a shadow of sadness.
- Midoki: "Maybe you're right... but I can't help but think that it felt too good to do that. And that... scares me."
- Elyra: "It's natural to be afraid of what we feel, especially when the line between right and wrong gets blurred. But the fact that you're worried about it, that you question your actions, just shows how good you really are." - She says looking directly into Midoki's eyes.
- Durin: "What matters is that you care, Midoki. That's what sets us apart from monsters like Thaldirur. Let's learn from this and move forward, together." - She says it in a way that doesn't seem like it's exactly what she really meant.
- Midoki: "Thank you, Elyra, Durin. I needed to hear that. Let's continue, together." - He looks into the fire, with a new determination in his eyes.
The Plains are home to a diverse society of Titans, divided into five distinct tribes: Ogres, Orcs, Goblins, Trolls and Cyclopes. Each tribe has its own unique characteristics.
Finally at dawn, Midoki and his companions enter the Ogre Village, where they are greeted by the imposing Ogre Chief, known as Grommash. The Chief, with his penetrating gaze, questions the presence of intruders in his lands. Midoki, with determination, explains about the imminent threat of the awakened Cyclopes and the urgency of joining forces to face such an adversary. The Ogre Chief, impressed by their courage and sincerity, decides to offer his tribe's support for the upcoming battle.
While Midoki and his companions form an alliance with Grommash, behind the scenes, a cunning Ogre known as Grulkor hatches a treacherous plan. Grulkor breeds resentment and discontent among the tribesmen, sowing dissension over Grommash's leadership.
Grulkor, driven by his own ambitions, seeks to seize control of the Ogre tribe. He recruits loyal followers and quietly builds a conspiracy in the shadows of the village. His plan is to undermine Grommash's trust, paving the way for his rise to leadership. Meanwhile, the other Ogres, unaware of the plot afoot, prepare for the impending battle against Cyclops.
Amid Grulkor's conspiracy, a series of tragic events triggers an internal conflict within the Ogre tribe. During an ancient ritual, some Ogres are accidentally consumed by a mysterious dark energy, resulting in grotesque and uncontrolled transformations.
The spiritual contamination spreads rapidly throughout the village, leading to violent attacks among the Ogres themselves. Grommash, the tribe's chief, tries to maintain order, but chaos ensues, with crazed Ogres attacking indiscriminately. The once-united Ogre people are fragmented into hostile factions.
Grulkor, taking advantage of the confusion, uses the situation to strengthen his influence, manipulating events to frame Grommash for the spiritual disaster. Meanwhile, Midoki and his companions witness the devastation and seek to understand the origin of the dark energy that has caused chaos in the Ogre Village.
With Grommash, Midoki and their companions imprisoned and Grulkor taking control, the Ogre Village is falling into a new era of authoritarianism. Grulkor, mysteriously able to control the Ogres affected by the dark energy, uses them as a powerful force to consolidate his rule.
Midoki and his companions realize the complexity of the situation, facing a manipulative Ogre leader and a crazed force that now obeys this new ruler. Determined to free Grommash and restore peace to the Ogre Village, they devise a strategy to escape without harming innocents, unravel the mysteries behind the dark energy and confront Grulkor.
Driven by determination, Midoki prepares for the confrontation with Grulkor. His heart beating with courage, he leads his companions towards the imminent challenge in the Ogre Village, where the battle against the influence of the dark energy and the tyranny of Grulkor is about to unfold.
