Chapter 34 - Chapter 163: The Arrival of Thor

Captain America Steve Rogers murmured, "I don't think it's that simple. This guy is really powerful."

"Not bad for an old-timer like you," Iron Man Tony Stark agreed.

While they were talking, Black Widow Natasha Romanoff, piloting the aircraft, noticed that the sky outside had suddenly darkened, and lightning and thunder erupted.

Boom! Crack...

A massive bolt of lightning struck, accompanied by a deafening roar.

"Where is this lightning coming from?"

Natasha felt something was off.

Just a short while ago, the weather had been normal, and now there were sudden flashes of lightning and thunder?

At that moment, Syd, who was hanging behind the aircraft, also noticed the unusual weather.

"A familiar feeling..."

In an instant, Syd sensed a strange familiarity from the weather.

Whoosh~ A cold wind blew, signaling an impending storm.

Syd immediately activated two layers of Rebound Shield.

Even though being struck by lightning wouldn't be too dangerous for him at his current level, it might cause minor injuries and make him look disheveled.

At that moment, a lightning bolt struck directly at him.

Bright flashes of white light erupted.

Syd ignored the phenomenon and continued to watch the distant aircraft.

When the lightning dissipated, he was unharmed.

The lightning bolt had been absorbed by the Rebound Shield.

Sensing the violent lightning in the void space, Syd stroked his chin, deciding not to let the Rebound Shield's void space disintegrate it, but rather to keep it intact.

Perhaps he could have some more fun with lightning later?

Speaking of which, Syd missed the feeling of wielding Thor's hammer.

He wondered if there would be any unusual effects now, with his divine powers awakened, if he tried lifting it again. His curiosity was piqued.

As he pondered, the aircraft in the distance began to shake due to turbulence.

"What's happening?" Loki asked.

Captain America turned and inquired, "Are you afraid of lightning?"

Loki seemed to understand the situation and casually explained, "I don't like the guy who controls the lightning."

As he spoke, he looked up at the aircraft above.

Suddenly!

With a loud bang, something hit the top of the aircraft.

The aircraft shook violently.

Tony Stark picked up his Mark helmet and walked toward the rear of the cabin.

"What are you doing?" Steve Rogers asked.

Opening the cabin door, Tony Stark was about to speak when a figure appeared at the open doorway.

Before he could even raise his hand to attack, he was knocked away by a single blow.

Thor grabbed Loki and, without a word, jumped off the aircraft with him.

Shaking his head, Tony Stark got up, frustrated. "This guy just shows up out of nowhere."

"Another Asgardian?" Natasha Romanoff asked, turning her head.

Captain America asked, "Is he one of us?"

"It doesn't matter," Tony Stark replied, looking at them. "Whether he freed Loki or killed him, the Tesseract is gone."

With that, he headed towards the open cabin door.

Realizing what Tony was planning, Steve Rogers stopped him. "Stark, we need a battle plan first."

"The plan is to fight," Tony Stark replied, ignoring him.

Watching Tony's figure disappear into the dark clouds, Captain America sighed, grabbed a parachute pack, and quickly put it on.

Natasha Romanoff, seeing this, said helplessly, "I can't control him, Captain."

"I don't want to control him either," Captain America said as he finished putting on the parachute.

At this moment, Natasha had a thought.

Fearing Captain America might underestimate the situation, she turned to remind him, "Those two were legendary beings, essentially gods. Be careful, Captain."

Captain America, however, didn't seem to take it seriously. He casually remarked, "There's only one god in this world, and it's not dressed like that."

Grabbing his shield, Steve Rogers leaped out of the cabin.

Soon, the once-bustling aircraft fell silent, leaving only Natasha behind.

Just as Natasha thought it was over, she thought she heard a sound.

"Heh heh..."

Hmm? Natasha was momentarily stunned, thinking it might be her imagination, and turned around.

Whether it was an illusion or not, she saw a figure descending from the top of the aircraft, chasing after Captain America's falling direction.

"Oh my God..."

In an instant, Natasha's heart tightened, feeling a chill as if she had walked into a horror movie.

Another person?

When did this happen? Who is it?

As she wondered, Syd was floating behind Captain America.

Controlling the surrounding light to be dim, and due to the distance, Captain America hadn't noticed the person floating behind him.

Watching Captain America plummet rapidly, Syd almost couldn't resist flying to his side and asking if he was enjoying the weather.

Shaking his head and suppressing the absurd thought, Syd moved and disappeared from his original spot.

Boom! The sound of a sonic boom erupted.

Hearing the sonic boom, Captain America tensed up and instinctively looked around, but saw nothing, as Syd had already vanished and reappeared a thousand meters away.

At that moment, he was heading towards Iron Man, Thor, and the others.

Soon, he overtook Iron Man without drawing attention and caught up with Thor, who was farther ahead.

Seeing Thor, who was holding Loki in one hand and Mjolnir in the other, about to land on the ground, Syd moved his right hand, contemplating trying to summon Mjolnir.

Would Mjolnir recognize him now, or would it still recognize Thor?

At that moment,

Boom! Near the ground, Thor threw Loki down.

"Where is the Tesseract?"

Thor demanded.

Loki, lying on the ground in pain, eventually chuckled and said, "Long time no see, brother."

Thor's voice grew stern with anger. "Am I here to catch up with you?"

Loki didn't answer, instead starting his usual taunting.

"Do you have any idea how much dark energy Odin had to mobilize to send you to your beloved Earth after the Bifrost was destroyed?"

"You should thank me."

As Loki stood up, Thor angrily grabbed him by the neck.

Thor knew that without the Bifrost, reaching Earth was very difficult.

His purpose for this trip, aside from uncovering the identity of the mysterious figure in white, was to recover the Tesseract.

With the Tesseract, the Bifrost could be repaired quickly.
