Looking at Alexander on the screen, the audience was stunned.
"What happened just now? Why did Rui just disappear?"
"You ask me? Who am I supposed to ask? I want to know too!"
"Wait, is that scythe a Nichirin blade? How did Rui just die like that?"
"Wow, the Author is amazing! Human or demon, it doesn't matter; it's just one strike for the Author! Is this the power of the Author?"
The crowd was abuzz with excitement. They had never seen such a unique twist: an Author stepping onto the battlefield and being so powerful. This scene was beyond their wildest expectations.
Meanwhile, Sakura-chan and Mamika were overjoyed. It wasn't that Rui was particularly strong; he was just very difficult to kill. But Alexander had made it look effortless.
"Brother Alexander is amazing!" Sakura-chan cheered.
On the other side, Altair sighed. She realized how powerless even a demon like Rui was against that scythe. She remembered her own encounter with Alexander, where her abilities were useless against Alexander that left her feeling utterly helpless. That feeling still lingered.
"Charon, what are you waiting for? Come out before I get besieged!" Altair shouted to the sky.
A massive mech appeared, flying down from above. Selesia recognized it immediately and felt a headache coming on. She knew exactly who it was: Charon.
"Selesia, come here quickly. If we work together, we can defeat these creators and save our world!" Charon's voice echoed from the mech.
"Charon, listen to me, Altair is lying to you. Saving the world isn't that simple."
"Lie to me? Impossible. I'm Charon. She wouldn't lie to me, and I've confirmed that these creators are real!" Charon's stubbornness was evident.
"Charon, you're thinking about this all wrong. If you don't come to your senses, I'll have no choice but to fight you," Selesia pleaded, but Charon was unyielding.
"Selesia, we can't defeat the Avalon group with our kingdom's knights alone. We've lost so many comrades and shed so much blood and tears. But with the power of this world, we can not only defeat the Avalon group but also resurrect our fallen comrades. Isn't that worth it?!"
"Charon, the power of creation isn't that easy to control."
"Impossible! Look at that guy! Didn't he force his creator to resurrect his daughter? If he can do it, so can we! Selesia, you're the one being deceived!"
Charon's misguided conviction was clear. He believed in using the power of the creators to reshape their world, while Selesia believed in working with the creators for a better outcome. Their fundamental differences made them enemies.
The audience discussed this conflict.
"If I were the author, I'd change the protagonist. Charon is too stubborn. Let Selesia lead. She's more heroic!"
"Do you think Charon secretly read Selesia's book? He seems overly invested."
"Huh? That's a good angle. Maybe he did, which is why he's acting like this."
"You guys are hilarious."
The audience didn't fully grasp the battle's significance, but Selesia did. She turned to Kanoya and said, "Kanoya, let's follow the anime's plot. It's our best chance."
"What! No need, Selesia! We can win!" Kanoya protested, unable to accept a fate where Selesia would die as the story dictated.
But Selesia smiled and shook her head.
"Kanoya, this is the story I chose. This is the ending I chose. It's the line Alexander wrote for me. I really like it. Just let me say it once, okay?"
Kanoya hesitated. He loved that line, but he couldn't bear the thought of Selesia disappearing from the world. It was too painful.
At that moment, a voice interrupted their thoughts.
"I said, if Selesia ends up like this, the readers in my world will know, and they'll come after me. So... just watch and see how it unfolds, okay?"
