Chapter 20 - The Beginning Of Massacration

Haruto and Kanna entered the park, walking side by side, Haruto seemed confident, smiling softly. While Kanna appeared more anxious with her eyes scanning the surroundings as if she was having the flashbacks of the past.

Both walked until stopping at the center of the park, the exact same spot where they had once broken up. The air seemed thick with anticipation.

Haruto and Kanna stood face to face, his gaze on her with a gentle smile, while she was looking down, clearly nervous.

"Kanna." Haruto called out softly, her name hung heavy in the air, and slowly she looked up to him, meeting his eyes, her eyes reflecting her nervousness.

"After that day, this is my first time coming back." Kanna said in a low tone, Haruto was looking at her with a warm steady smile.

"Why did you bring me here?" she asked, her nervousness still evident.

Haruto gently took her hands, offering her a gentle warm smile. Kanna looking up at him seemed both confused and anxious, suddenly a sudden burst of light from Haruto's back caught her attention.

A firework was shot into the sky and exploded in a breathtaking display of colors.

Kanna stood stunned, her eyes wide opened with disbelief, staring at the sky.

Suddenly lots of fireworks got shot in the skies one after another, painting the night sky with a stunning array of colors. A show of stunning fireworks began.

Kanna stood mesmerized, quickly turning around and taking in the beautiful display of fireworks lighting up the night sky. The park was surrounded with a breathtaking display of colors, each burst creating a dazzling display of lights. She stood in awe, captivated by the breathtaking beauty that surrounded her.

Turning back to him, saying, "Haruto did you-" Her voice faltered as she saw Haruto already kneeling on one knee before her, her eyes widened with amazement, unable to comprehend the moment.

Haruto's smile broadened, as he slowly pulled out the ring box from his pocket, deepening Kanna's shock.

He then opened the ring box revealing a shiny ring inside, and as Kanna took in the sight of the ring, her shock deepened, gazing at the ring with utter disbelief.

"Kanna" Haruto began softly, his voice filled with emotions, "From the day I meet you to this day, nothing has ever changed, I have always loved you, and I'll always will"

Kanna stood speechless, struggling to process the unexpected statement.

Haruto continued in a voice trembling with emotions, "Over the past eight years I've tried my best to forget you, but I just can't, I really can't forget you. It's just you are always in my mind, in my dreams, just you, You are my first and last, I can't love anyone else, for me it's just you."

"I know I was stupid back in the days, I made lots of mistakes, but I've grown and changed, I've become more mature and responsible now, and I promise I'll take good care of you, I'll give you all the happiness even If it costs everything."

Kanna's gaze was fixed on him, her eyes reflecting a hint of sadness.

Haruto's smile remained soft as he continued, "Please Kanna, just give me one more chance please, I know you loved me more than I ever loved myself and I know you still do, Just… give me another chance to make things right."

"Kanna, I promise I'll fix everything that's gone wrong and I'll change myself in the way you want. Just give me another chance. Please, Kanna, I really love you, and I can't even imagine spending my life without you. Please Kanna. Be my wife" he said, holding up the ring with trembling hands.

Tears welled up in Kanna's eyes, her expressions heavy with sadness. Haruto's eyes, full of hope, remained fixed on her, holding up the ring with trembling hands.

Kanna closed her eyes in anguish, then slowly opened them looking at him. In a voice choked with emotions, she whispered, "I'm sorry Haruto."

Haruto's eyes widened with disbelief, his heart sinking as his heartbeat grew uneven.

Tears ran down Kanna's face as she added, "Haruto, I truly loved you, but we were kids back then. Now we have grown-up and everything has changed, I've changed and moved on. You also have to move on, please, Haruto, forget me."

Haruto was stunned, his face contorted with deep hurt as disbelief as he kept gazing at her.

With a trembling tone Kanna added, "I'm sorry Haruto, I'm really sorry, I hope I'm not hurting your feelings, but we really can't be together."

Tears began to well up in Haruto's eyes as he lowered his face, his entire body started to tremble, his breathing became heavy and ragged, as if he was gasping for air. each breath a painful reminder of his shattered heart.

Kanna turned around and started walking away, Haruto's tears began to stream down, his silent sobs filling the air, slowly he looked up and saw Kanna disappearing into the distance, his vision started getting blurry. He stumbled causing the ring box to slip from his grip which fell and tumbled on the ground, collapsing onto the ground he sat there, his heartache grew as he helplessly stared at the ring lying before him.

Haruto began sobbing silently, tears uncontrollably streaming down his face, his gaze shifting to Kanna who was fading into the distance, his gaze locked on her as flashbacks of 2019 flooded back, the painful flashbacks replaying in his mind, intensifying his grief.

Kanna exited the park, leaving Haruto alone who buried his head in his arm, overwhelmed with by the rush of memories- Kanna's laughter, her smiling faces and their beautiful moments together, each of her memory growing his agony, rubbing his head roughly, desperately trying to erase Kanna's memories, but they keep flooding in his mind.

Consumed by pain and regret he let out a distressed, heart wrenching scream that echoed throughout the park. Then, collapsing onto his back, he lay on the ground and started crying his heart out…

At the dead of the night, A girl, around 22 years old sprinted down an old local street, her steps frantic and desperate, behind her a group of five delinquents persuaded her with menacing determination.

The girl kept running desperately, her breaths coming in ragged gasp, her eyes filled with tears, her clothes were slightly torn and smeared with dirt, despite her desperate efforts of escape, the delinquents were closing in on her with menacing speed.

While running, she began screaming for help, but her cries were faint and weak with no one around to hear, Eventually her steps got slowed out of exhaustion.

One of the delinquents chasing her caught her by the neck and slammed her on a nearby wall, pinning her and pressing his hand over her mouth, stopping her screams. The girl struggled desperately trying to free herself by that delinquent grip was something she could never break.

Other delinquents circled around her, their faces twisted into cruel grins, the delinquent who had his hands on the girl, roughly ripped her top exposing her undergarment, Her muffled screams of agony were stifled by his hand, her attempts to cover her exposed body were frantic and helpless.

The delinquent with a twisted grin and with malicious intentions moved his hand towards her undergarment, causing the girl to scream in desperate fear.

"Heyyy!" Suddenly a commanding voice of a true man echoed, causing the delinquent hand to stop in mid-air.

The girl's screams faltered as she desperately tried to look at the source of voice, clinging to a hope that someone had come to rescue her.

All the delinquents' attention turned towards the voice, where they saw a man, around 26 years old, standing staring at the scene with wide eyes, "L-Leave her alone!" he yelled out, pulling out his phone, "Or I'll call the cops" he threatened, his voice filled with urgency.

The delinquents exchanged glances, then the delinquent holding the girl let her go, who desperately ran towards the man, covering her exposed body with her arms, she quickly hid herself behind the man.

The man stood alert, raising his hand sideways in a protective gesture, glancing at the delinquents he shouted out loud, "Now turn around and get lost" his voice filled with authority.

The delinquent leader signaled his men to fall back who all began walking backwards. The delinquent leader smiled, raised his hand in a mocking surrender, then turned with his men and ran away into a dark valley.

The man let out a sigh of relief, turning back to face the girl, he said, "It's fine they're gone now" his tone assuring, "I live nearby you can stay for the night" he offered.

The girl looks up to him with hesitation and fear, her body trembling with ordeal.

The man smiled warmly, "No need to worry," he said gently, "I have a wife at home, you'll be safe and comfortable, and I consider you as my sister," he placed a comforting hand on her head.

The girl's distress and fear began to ease, as she nodded slightly, feeling a bit comfortable.

The man smiled warmly and began walking, with the girl walking side by side.

As they walked a few steps ahead, Suddenly, the sound of rapid footsteps echoed behind them. Before they could react, the leader of delinquents appeared behind the man thrusting a large dagger right into that man's chest, piercing through his heart.

The girl screamed out in sheer terror, swiftly other delinquents sprang into action grabbing her roughly, dragging her and pinning her on the wall nearby, with one delinquent pressing his hand over the girl's mouth, while others pinning her arms on the wall, leaving her helpless and trapped.

That man's eyes remained wide open, as blood oozed from his mouth, his lifeless body collapsing face first. The girl, now overwhelmed with distress, her tears streaming down her face.

The delinquent leader smiled cruelly, spitting on the dead body, before turning his evil eyes towards the girl, her eyes widened in fear as she struggled desperately, trying to make herself free.

The delinquent leader still holding the bloodied dagger began walking towards the girl, her screams muffled under the hands of the delinquent. Her terror was clear as the delinquent was closing in on her.

"Tch, Tch, Tch, Tch" a man's voice echoed throughout the air.

The delinquent stopped mid walk, his attention seized by the sound, the girl's eyes widened with hope, and a heavy silence filled the air.

The delinquent leader turned around and began scanning the surroundings, but found no one, "Who's here?" he demanded, his voice sharp.

From a dark corner a man emerged, wearing a teal-colored tuxedo with a long coat and a matching round hat, holding a briefcase in his one hand.

He emerged from the darkness as if he had been there all along, standing with an air cold with confidence, slightly looking down, causing his upper face to hide under his round cap, while his hairs kept floating under his round cap. A confident, almost sinister smile playing on his lips, and his entire demeanor exuding a powerful intimidating aura.
