After dropping Axelle off at her place, I returned to the office to handle the other business matters that needed my attention.
Three successful Zoom calls and one ongoing call later, my phone chimed. Reaching for it, I saw it was a call from the securities at home. "Give me a moment," I informed Gilbert who is on the other side of the call. Turning the angle of my laptop camera, I answered the call.
"What is it, Jethro?" I know he wouldn't call me if it wasn't an emergency or something very important.
"Ms. Axelle is here and she is requesting to have access into the house."
My brow arched in surprise. Didn't I just drop her off at her place an hour ago? What is she doing at my place? "Let her through."
"Yes, boss." The call disconnected.
Scrolling through my contacts, I dialed her number. She picked up almost instantly. "I apologize for showing up unannounced."
