Axel wandered around the fountain, looking around the pool that seemed to have a lot of coins thrown into it.
'Are there that many people who believe in something like this?' he thought in astonishment.
As he was walking around the fountain, the water suddenly rose high, catching the Alpha's attention. He stood still where he was, savoring every splash of cold water that hit him. His eyes were closed as he breathed in the fresh air.
Slowly the shower subsided and he opened his eyes. His head turned towards Daren who was on the other side of the fountain looking at him.
"Axel?" called his young master.
"I'm here, why did you call me?" the man asked then walked over to the other man and stood before him.
His head was slightly bowed due to the height difference between the two of them. Ivan watched the two of them silently staring at each other.
Daren looked at how Axel was looking at him and then turned his face away. "Nothing, just surprised to see your ugly face when the fountain subsided. I was hoping you'd disappear, but you didn't," he replied as he put both hands on his own waist.
"You wished for me to disappear? Heh, very good. I was too lazy to be here in the first place," Axel replied coldly.
"Hey come on, don't say things like that? What if it really happens?" asked Ivan trying to separate the two of them.
"Never mind, let's go somewhere else, Ivan. I can't wait to see another nice place." Daren walked first out of the park to get back to their car.
During the trip, Daren looked out the window, seeing the beautiful scenery around the city. However, he occasionally glanced at the rearview mirror in the center of the car. Since Ivan was there, Daren sat in the back seat with his best friend.
He looked at Axel's face who was focused on driving the car. He was still thinking about his wish at the fountain.
'Why did Axel show up? Is the fountain trying to show it to me? It can't be him, right?' Daren thought.
He didn't want to believe that Axel was the answer to his desire to live freely. An annoying, stiff and grumpy Alpha male like himself?
'You've got to be kidding me, I'd better not believe something stupid like that.'
They spent the whole day wandering around the city and enjoying every place and the food. Daren was enjoying his vacation with Ivan, but things wouldn't have gone so smoothly without Axel watching over them.
Keeping them away from the things they didn't want to disturb their vacation.
"I'm going to the public restroom for a while, you just wait here," Ivan said as he went to find the nearest restroom.
Meanwhile, Daren sat on a park bench by the roadside and Axel stood nearby to keep an eye on his employer.
It was already quite dark, it was 6.45pm. They were going to a restaurant to have dinner together.
"I'm thirsty..." muttered Daren.
Axel, who heard that, immediately turned to him. "There's a vending machine nearby."
"You go buy me something. I want a cold soda," the blond-haired man replied as he looked at Axel.
"Alright, stay here and don't go anywhere. I'll be right back." Axel walked away in the opposite direction Ivan had gone before.
Now there was only the Omega alone on the side of the road with only streetlights and a few passing motorcycles and cars.
He took out his cell phone and looked at social media to see if the photo he had uploaded had gotten many likes or not.
"Hmn... 1,200 likes, 300 comments and 150 shares, not bad. I'll upload today's picture tomorrow. It will be dangerous if I upload pictures in real time. They might rush me here like yesterday," he muttered then sighed.
"By the way, they took so long. Ivan should be back too, did he not find the toilet? Or did he queue up? Axel hasn't come back either, was he buying drinks all that time?" Daren looked right and left, hoping one of them would return soon.
He wasn't so much afraid of his dark surroundings, but he was just worried about someone approaching him while he was alone. Even if he could fight it off, Daren admitted that he wouldn't be able to fight back if it was an Alpha using his pheromones.
"Maybe they'll be back soon," he said then looked back at his phone.
On his phone, Daren opened his gallery. Staring at some photos where he was photographed with a dark-haired man with the man's arm around his shoulders.
Axel's eyes dropped every time he saw that photo. The photo that he had always kept even since he was in school.
"I wish you were still here. I wouldn't have to face everything alone. All this... It's my fault..." he murmured softly.
While he was waiting for Ivan and Axel, a man suddenly approached him. The Alpha man, who looked drunk, sat next to Daren. Smelling alcohol, the Omega immediately moved away from the Alpha and went back to playing with his cell phone.
'What does he want? The smell of alcohol is so strong, he must be drunk. Hufttt sucks,' Daren thought.
"Hey sweet Omega, are you alone?" the Alpha coaxed as he tried to touch Daren's shoulder. But Daren immediately moved away from him.
He stood up from his chair and walked over, standing by the sign post.
However, it seemed as if the Alpha was interested in Daren being alone. He followed him and staggered towards Daren. "Hey, don't move away like that. I just wanted to get to know you," he said with a chuckle.
"Get away from me! I don't want to make your acquaintance!" Daren replied and tried to go in the direction Axel had gone.
The drunken Alpha didn't stop, and instead chased after Daren. The Omega didn't dare fight back because a drunk Alpha would be too sensitive to rut or intentionally put Daren under heat. Given their unstable minds.
'Damn damn damn! I have to get out of here and find Axel before that jerk Alpha catches me!' he thought fearfully.
The faster he ran, the faster the drunk Alpha chased him even though he was drunk.
"Omega! Come here or I'll make you regret it!"
"No! Get away from me!"
He continued running until he accidentally bumped into a man in a black T-shirt standing in front of him. The man caught Daren's body which was about to fall backwards.
His strong hands wrapped around Daren's waist and pulled him close. Daren looked at the man's face and it was the person he had been looking for.
"Axel!"
