In the end, the Omega felt better after telling his bodyguard everything he had been feeling. And at the same time they became closer and chatted intimately with each other.
Slowly Axel also began to tell Daren a little about himself.
"Since childhood, my mother was the only one I had, and she was an Omega like you. But I never knew what my father was like. He died before I was born," he said about himself.
"Did he have an accident?"
Axel shook his head. "No, I don't know exactly what happened to him. But what I do know is that my mom hated him. And that hatred she showed me too," the Alpha replied as he looked at the cityscape before him.
Daren gasped in shock as soon as he heard that, he then continued to stare at his bodyguard waiting for his next words.
The man continued that his mother hated the Alpha because she felt forced into mating until Axel was born.
"You could say that my mom is a victim of my own father. But she didn't dare to eliminate me while I was still in her belly. Until I was born and she hated me so much."
The Omega did not realize that Axel also had a bad relationship with his family, especially with his mother, the only family member he had. Every day, Axel would get angry no matter what he did, and his mother always demanded perfect grades.
"It must be uncomfortable being at home, I feel that way too," Daren said.
"Yes, you can say that. But as children, what can we do? At the end of the day we'll still be at their feet no matter what we do," Axel replied.
The blond man nodded his head. He noticed how Axel looked different when telling him this. His feelings had been hurt, and that hurt still remained to this day.
Not only his heart, but also his physique.
"But it's lucky that your mom is gone now, right?"
"I don't know if it's luck or not, but when I knew she was dead, I felt calmer. All the insults she always said just disappeared and made me feel better," he replied with a sigh and leaned against the windshield of the car at the back.
Looking at Axel lying down, Daren followed suit as he gazed up at the blue sky. His eyes were closed, enjoying the wind that blew past them. It had been a long time since he had gone there with someone.
Sometimes he went to that place alone to remember all the memories with his brother. Sometimes there he also cried alone, but not today because he felt that someone was with him. And he felt better.
Glancing at his employer, he saw how the man was feeling very peaceful. To the point that he was smiling even though his eyes were closed, innocence and something sweet depicted on his face.
"I admit that what your father said was a very cruel thing. You shouldn't feel that way because no one knows when and where bad things will happen," the Alpha commented to make the Omega next to him feel better.
"Yeah, I know, sometimes there's just nothing I can do to stop the anger he has. I know I can never replace Aldrich in my family. I realize that an Omega like me will not be able to hold the duties of an Alpha."
No matter how hard Deren tried to survive all these things. He realized that his limit was himself. He realized that he was just an Omega who was always looked down upon by everyone, but he had promised Aldrich that he would be a strong Omega no matter how hard the world tried to kill him.
Sometimes he wanted to give up on all this but he didn't want to disappoint Aldrich up there. So Daren tried to show them that he could do it.
"Yeah I guess you can, because you're a fool. And usually stupid people have an easier time surviving," Axel said, trying to break the heavy atmosphere around them.
Daren opened his eyes and turned to Axel, "I'm not stupid! I'm smart and strong!"
Suddenly the bodyguard chuckled. "Yeah, you're probably right."
The young employer gasped in surprise at Axel's chuckle. This was the first time he had seen the man laugh, whereas before he always looked flat, cold and if he smiled it was an intimidating smile.
He was quite fascinated by Axel's chuckle which made the man look different and interesting. "This is the first time I've seen you laugh like that. What's so funny about it?"
"Nothing, it's just that your answer sounds funny to me," he replied.
Even though he was a little confused, he still enjoyed his time with Axel. He felt that he was not as bad and annoying as he thought.
"It turns out you're not as stiff as I thought, it's not bad talking to you either," Daren said with a smiling face.
The Alpha fell silent when he heard what Daren said to him. He never thought someone would say such things to him, even though he was a short-tempered person who rarely talked to anyone.
Even about his childhood, he had never told anyone except Daren that day. He himself didn't understand why he had to tell him that, but he felt comfortable enough to say it anyway.
Daren fell asleep on the hood of the car as it was cool and not hot on the empty hill. Axel noticed how the man was sleeping, and the look in his eyes was different from the one he usually had on the Omega.
"He really trusts me already. I guess everything will be easy and soon I'll be able to finish this job and get back to my usual work," he murmured softly.
He reached for Daren's head and rubbed his forehead gently, for some reason he felt quite unsure of his own words and the true purpose of why he had come and chosen to become the Bodyguard of an Omega's wealthy family, the Wyne Family.
