The next day, Daren woke up and saw that he was already in his room. He didn't remember what happened last night, all he remembered was that he was chatting with Marco and then he felt a hand touching his body.
"What exactly happened last night?" he mumbled while rubbing his head which still felt dizzy.
He sat himself on the bed, then looked to his right which turned out to be two maids sitting on the floor and fast asleep. In the hand of one of them, was a piece of cloth.
The man finally realized that the pajamas he was wearing were not buttoned at all. And the bed felt a little wet with his sweat. "Why can't I remember anything at all that happened last night? And how am I supposed to get home when the party's over?"
"You're awake," said a man sitting by the door as usual.
Daren turned around to find his bodyguard standing up from his chair and walking over to him. He asked about what happened last night, and how he got home.
At first Axel was hesitant to explain what happened last night. Because he was sure Daren wouldn't believe any part of the story he told. But the man made up his mind and finally told him what had happened.
As expected, Daren didn't believe what Axel had told him. Moreover, he continued to defend Ivan, saying that Ivan couldn't have ignored him and let him be surrounded by Alphas.
"Ivan wouldn't do that! I believe him, maybe his friends are bad people. But I know Ivan wouldn't do that to me!" he said, unable to accept the fact that Ivan could be involved in this.
Moreover, they were Beta Male's friends. There was no way he didn't know what his friends were going to do that night.
"It's up to you, I told you what happened last night believe it or not it depends on you," said Axel who couldn't force the answer.
The sleeping maids were finally woken up and asked to rest in their own rooms. He wanted to eat his breakfast immediately, and meet with Ivan in person to discuss this matter.
After breakfast and cleaning up, Daren called Ivan so they could meet. But the call went unanswered, and he remembered that Ivan was already busy at work in Marabella. He must be busy at the moment or with his father.
"Young master, I don't think it's necessary to call Mr. Ivan for now. If Mr. Axel said so, it means that it really happened. Why would Mr. Axel lie about this incident," said Mike, trying to calm his employer down.
"But that's impossible! Ivan has always been good to me and he's always protected me! And I trust him," Daren replied.
No matter how Axel and Mike tried to make Daren believe, the Omega man still trusted Ivan more. Actually, Mike trusted Ivan too, especially since he had known Ivan for a long time since Daren had introduced him to his best friend.
Daren waited all day for Ivan's call. Hoping that he would call him and tell him what happened last night.
But as the week passed, there was no sign of Ivan. The Beta man seemed to ignore him, and didn't answer his phone several times.
"Maybe he's busy? He must have been so busy that he didn't have time to answer my calls. Maybe it's just me who's too eager to know about what happened that night. Maybe I'd better forget it," Daren muttered, trying not to think about it anymore.
He was sure and believed that Ivan never had any bad intentions towards him because all this time Ivan was all he had and only the man he trusted.
"You know, sometimes the most dangerous people are not strangers, but the people around you. Are you sure you trust that guy that much?" Axel asked.
"Of course I do, without Ivan my life would have been very lonely with no friends other than Mike. That's why I trust him," replied Daren.
"But look what he did to you, he didn't even answer your phone at all. And you're still sure about that?"
What Axel said was true, Daren was starting to doubt Ivan a little. But he couldn't let his doubts consume him. He was sure of himself and he knew his best friend wouldn't betray him.
Unable to do much about it, the Alpha finally chose to keep quiet rather than make a fuss about nothing.

Later that night after Daren fell asleep, Axel left the mansion in the car he always used. He went to a bar on the edge of town and parked the car.
Entering the bar, he looked for someone who had been waiting for him since before. And that man was in the corner of the room.
"You asked me to come see you all of a sudden. Do you have anything more important to talk about than just sitting and drinking in this place?" Axel asked and sat next to the man.
The man chuckled and poured a glass of whisky for Axel who had just arrived. "What's wrong with that, asking you to come over? You're always so focused on your work without thinking about enjoying your youth," he said.
"That's not important at all, I need to get this job done before everything falls apart over something so unimportant. Especially to enjoy the endless youth," Axel replied and drank the whisky.
He looks so familiar with the man, chatting about the work that Axel is currently doing. A job that kept him away from his other colleagues.
"So how's your relationship with that rascal? He's trusted you with his whole life?"
Axel swirled his whisky glass, staring at the ice cubes in the glass.
"You could say that. But there are some people who get in the way of my work. I thought being a bodyguard would be easy, but it turns out there's so much to do that I'm sick of it," he replied in a flat tone of voice.
The man laughed heartily at his coworker's confession. Axel, who he knew was always stiff and cold, had to deal with a rebellious and noisy Omega man.
"Then quickly finish your work, and then return to the base."
