"The spirits tell no lies… you truly are beautiful."
This scene that unfolded in front of my eyes was nothing other than a miracle to me.
The Perfect Prince, calling me beautiful? This was something I never thought I would ever be able to experience. I had to fight the urge to pinch my own cheeks out of the shock that I was experiencing. Just as he was in the game, almost every sentence that left his lips caused my heart to flutter, but I couldn't allow myself to get distracted.
Yet.
I needed to improve myself I order to deal with the Crown Prince and the Heroine. There was no time to play around in these moments. Therefore, I brushed off Luminos's comments and replied with the smug and confident tone that Alicia always donned in the game.
"Of course I'm beautiful, but I was unaware we were having a beauty competition. If so, then I would make you the major attraction."
Luminos's confident smile and tone immediately faded upon my words, and a bright red blush fell over his face as he covered it with the baggy sleeves of his exquisite white robe.
"Miss Alicia…"
It appeared he wanted to speak more, but possibly the words were blocked from coming out. This situation allowed me to release a massive breath of air that even I was unaware I was holding at first.
Just like in the game, Luminos was easily vulnerable when he was complimented.
It took Luminos a few moments to recover from his embarrassment, but once he did, he turned back to meet my gaze with his usual confidence.
"Miss Alicia, are you ready?"
As he spoke, he twirled a blue whirlpool of water in his hands. The sphere of water spun around beautifully and it truly measured up to his title as the God of Water.
The current that danced within his palms was very much controlled while also appearing wild and powerful. I knew it was the right decision to learn from him, despite him being my crush.
"I am. So, what will you teach me today?"
Finally, it was upon this action that he rose from his sitting position and stood up while extending his hand out to help me up as well.
Unfortunately, if he kept behaving like this, I worried I wouldn't be able to keep myself from jumping into his arms. Therefore, I decided to decline his help and stood up on my own.
Since I was wearing a shorter dress today, it wasn't very difficult to stand on my own. However, I noticed that my decision left a little bit of hurt visible on his face, so I continued to show him my radiant smile in hopes of keeping his mind off of the matter.
It appeared that it worked when he returned a smile my way as well before he turned toward the line of trees that made up the expansive yard.
"Today you're going to learn how to control your Mana output. This will ensure your safety when you're using physical attack spells."
He then slowly walked behind me and placed his hand on my waist as he closed his eyes. My mind raced with anticipation and my heart nearly imploded within my chest. His touch was so sudden my heart and mind never even had time to prepare for it.
Was this really needed for training? Such a thing like this never existed in the game, to my knowledge, but it was also possible because the game started with all the characters already in the Royal Magic Academy. If that was the case, they may have already undergone this procedure.
Regardless of if that was the case, there was no way I could keep my heart and mind clear with the boy I liked so near to me.
"Alicia, the mana within your body is extremely dense. I have never seen this powerful of a magic signature before."
These words finally broke through the awkward layer of silence that developed when he began touching me.
A magic genius saying that my magic signature was the strongest he had ever seen? It was just proving even more to me that my dream could come true!
Finally, upon his words, he released his grasp on my waist and walked around me to face me once more.
"So Alicia, can you show me a demonstration of your Physical magic?"
After giving him the slight nod of my head, he took a step backward as I closed my eyes to focus. Releasing all the pours in my body, I allowed the Mana to slip through my skin. However, this time, the feeling was completely different.
The mana in my body easily slipped through, and I didn't have to put any effort into it as it poured out of my body. I wasn't prepared for such a thing, so I actually used more magic than I needed to.
Before I realized it, the flame lance that I was planning on creating nearly grew to the size of my bedroom and the flames it induced burned the nearby grass.
"Miss Alicia!"
Just as I heard Luminos's shout, a gentle current of water disabled the flaming inferno that was developing because of my magic, and the spell I was forming was canceled out by the water. Unfortunately, this led to my dress being trounced in a gallon's worth of water.
Luckily the damage caused by my spell spiraling out of control wasn't much, but being left as a dripping mess wasn't much of a step up either, but I was pleased to see I had caused no damage to the mansion I had grown so fawn of.
"Miss Alicia, are you alright?"
Luminos rushed over to my side, but as he moved too quickly, he stepped on my shoe, which was drenched by water. Following this caused him to slip, and he fell forward while pushing me down into the wet grass.
I looked upwards to see his handsome face tinted with a light blush just mere centimeters away from mine. His breathing was fast and because of the closeness, I could feel his heartbeat racing against mine.
The moment we shared continued for seconds as his face drifted closer to my lips. It was at this moment that I raised my hand and poked his cheek with my index finger.
"Prince Luminos, do you intend to keep me down here forever?"
