"Oh my god, this is the best!"
It had been about 3 hours since Valerie had left Amir. He was currently taking a shower and couldn't be happier. He couldn't remember the last time he had a proper shower. He never could afford to shower and no one in the village wanted to take him in so he always smelled horrible.
He felt as though he could stay in the shower for a lifetime. He had already been in there for 2 hours so far. Eventually, after having fun he tapped the rune-shaped notch in the wall turning off the water.
He stepped out of the shower and grabbed black clothes from the sink. Valerie had given him an entirely new set of clothes to wear. He didn't know where she kept getting all-black clothing but accepted the gift, nonetheless.
Looking at himself in the mirror it felt surreal. His face was clean and no longer filled with dirty stains. Everything he had suffered up to this moment was beyond anything he thought he would have to face. He was sure he was going to die 10 times over, but he was still standing.
Now he could use mana and had a bloodline to boot. He met the rumored creator of this world and now he was her chosen. Amir still didn't understand what she could be thinking giving a 12-year-old boy the mission to unite the world.
He felt that she really was a lunatic now. He didn't know what he was going to do about the fact that something was coming to kill everything on the planet. Everything started sinking in for him about how crazy his encounter with the spirit was.
Pushing the thoughts away he figured it best to focus on his immediate circumstances. His fists tightened, his heartbeat rose, and he felt a sense of excitement.
He could finally use mana, and he could finally make his dream come true. After so many years of rejection and neglect, he was going to make every single person who looked down on him regret it.
'Just wait and see, they'll all regret what they did to me.'
Amir left the bathroom and picked up a sack of coins that came along with the clothes. He didn't know why that lady kept giving him so many things, but he didn't trust her one bit. He made the mistake of trusting someone just because they were nice, and he would never do that again.
Leaving the infirmary Delilah gave him a scornful look as he passed by. He didn't know why she was staring at him so much, but he ignored her. She was on his list of people he was going to regret ever treating him badly.
Leaving the infirmary, he was getting a lot of stares but this time they were different. Everyone seemed to be whispering and looking at him funny. He could tell they were surprised to see him so clean but shockingly he was wearing clothing of high quality and that was extremely uncommon in such a small village.
People still moved out of the way as he walked through the village, but it was different this time. They all moved out of the way because they mistook him for someone with the academy official as they dressed in the same all-black-styled clothing. Not that it would have mattered to Amir, it still felt like all the times when he walked through the village.
Only this time he had his head up and didn't slink away from their gazes. He had mana now and was someone who met the literal mother of their world. He didn't want to feel as though he was less than any of them.
He soon came back to the little tent that he created, and it was his only sense of comfort in the night. He was going to leave the village soon as the money he had gotten from Valerie was about 10,000 EST. He was so shocked to see the money that he almost screamed.
He knew that he could pretty much buy anything he would need from the village and stay at one of the inns for a long time but he refused to do it. He wanted nothing to do with these people and giving them money was the last thing he was going to do.
He wanted nothing more than to make every single person here regret ever looking in his direction wrong. He had a plan for that, but it all had to wait.
'Hey, status thingy do you know how I can use my mana.'
Revenge could wait until he learned how to use his mana.
[ No I do not know anything outside of the functions of your bloodline.]
Amir was a little down that he couldn't practice his mana but quickly got over it. What's the point of being sad when he had a bloodline he could practice? A giddy smile broke out on his face.
'Okay, so how do you even activate my bloodline.'
[you call on the bloodline with your soul or trigger it with a catalyst]
"With my soul? How would I even do that?"
The silence was all Amir was met with. He felt irritated that it would not answer him.
'Hey, status tell me how to activate it!'
Still hearing nothing he went to his last resort.
'Would you answer me pretty please mister status? Come on, I apologize for calling you Mr. Creepy voice earlier.'
Eventually, he just gave up realizing that it wasn't going to answer.
"Fine, have it your way, I'll go figure it out for myself."
Sitting in his tent he deliberated on his bloodline.
"It said I could use my soul or a catalyst right? So, what can be used as a catalyst? my bloodline was the power of greed."
"So, what is greed"
Greed should be the want or the desire to attain something. He wondered if his desire or dreams were a form of greed. It couldn't just be that. Everyone's ambitions would make us all greedy, it's what drives us to higher heights as people."
'So, if it's greed then anything that people desire then the thing, they would need is something like money.'
Money could be a catalyst. It's something millions of people die over every day if my bloodline is about greed then money should be perfect

[ Your understanding of the power of greed grows]
[ Your greed increases]
He grinned as he finally started to understand what he needed to do to use his bloodline. The status wasn't going to help him, but he didn't need it as he started to have a feeling about how he could use his bloodline.
Taking out the sack of coins he got from Valerie he took out a gold coin. Holding it in the palm of his he cleared his mind as he breathed out. His sole focus was on the coin. After a few minutes, he started to feel that the coin was disappearing. Eventually, he didn't feel the coin anymore.

[1 stat point gained]*
Hearing the message Amir was ecstatic.
"So, I was right if it's like this then I can make this work."
He could turn money into stat points! He already discovered how stat points worked from the status already. He understood the general concept that stat points were just mana but because his status could allocate the energy in his body, it could nourish the muscles in his body.
He could directly impact if he wanted to be faster or stronger with little to no effort. Amir could immediately tell how useful that ability would be. He sat in the tent for the next few hours doing nothing but changing money into stat points.
"Whew, I think that should do it."
Amir wiped some sweat off his forest and stood up out of the tent to stretch his body. He had been sitting in the tent for about 4 hours churning out stat points.
'Hey, you lazy asshole show me my status.'
===Status===
Name: Amir
Titles: Child of Argos
Bloodline: Ancient bloodline of Greed
Rank: F-
Strength: 8
Agility: 6
Stamina: 10
Mana capacity: 4
Charm: 2
[Stat points: 8]
Looking at his stat points he sighed. He knew that there would have been a catch. After he got two more stat points the rate slowed down.
He got 1 sat point after every 30 coins he absorbed. He was down to 9,850 now but that didn't bother him as he didn't even make a dent in the money he had. The only thing that bothered him was how long it took to turn the coins into stat points.
It took him 12 minutes to make 1 coin disappear. That was just God-awful timing and he wanted to speed up the process.
'Hey, status do you know how I can speed up my conversion rate?'

[Training]
Amir's face twitched after hearing its answer. Of course, he knew he had to train but the damn thing was of no help, and it annoyed him.
Scoffing Amir shrugged it off.
"Damned Status."
He moved his attention back to the panel as he thought about how to allocate his stat points. After thinking about it he decided to put 4 into strength and 4 into agility. He could have gone for mana capacity but he didn't even know how to use mana right now so it would be useless to him.
Right now he needs immediate strength. He had plans for this village and needed to get stronger before he could start. There was 1 more reason he needed to get stronger immediately.
He stood in front of his tent and stared at it as he felt a deep melancholy.
"I won't miss you."
With those words, he began a series of blows to the tent that eventually tore it down. He looked at the bruises on his hand and flexed his hand in pain.
"Damn, these trees are so tough."
He knew how sturdy Asher wood was, but still broke it. That was just a testament that he had begun to grow stronger. He was taking his first steps on his path to power! This was something he would have never been able to do in the past.
He steeled his resolve. This wasn't anything to be surprised as it was only the beginning.
"Alright, I got my weapon."
Taking up a long broken piece of Asher wood that had a jagged edge he held it in his hand as he struck the ground with the pointed end. The wood didn't break and pierced the ground.
With a satisfied look, he pulled it out of the dirt.
"Alright, I'm all set now."
Amir was nervous but also excited. The last time he did this he almost died but things would be different this time.
"Let's go for round 2 you damn beast, I'm ready for you this time and I swear I'm going to kill you."
Amir was about to have his reunion with the magic beast that almost ate him a few days ago.
