Chapter 3 - Family

Evan quickly realized that he had been reincarnated when he saw a very beautiful woman with long, snow-white hair and striking blue eyes, smiling warmly at him. The midwife gently handed him to this beautiful woman, who immediately enveloped him in her arms. Her touch was tender and filled with a warmth that he had never felt before.

As she held him close, she began to shower his cheeks with soft, loving kisses. Each kiss was a promise of love and protection, and he could feel the depth of her emotions in every gentle touch. Her eyes sparkled with joy and tears of happiness, and her smile was radiant, lighting up the room.

In that moment, a wave of realization washed over him. This beautiful woman, with her long, snow-white hair and striking blue eyes, was his mother. The recognition brought a flood of emotions—relief, joy, and an overwhelming sense of belonging.

His heart swelled with love as he gazed up at her, and he could see the same love reflected in her eyes. She held him close, her heartbeat a soothing rhythm against his tiny body. He felt safe, cherished, and deeply loved.

Tears welled up in his eyes, not from sadness, but from the sheer intensity of the emotions he was experiencing. In his previous life, he had been an orphan, never knowing the warmth of a mother's embrace or the comfort of a loving family. The loneliness and longing he had felt in his past life made this moment even more precious.

He had been given a second chance, a new life, and in this moment, he knew that he was exactly where he was meant to be. His mother's kisses and her loving embrace were the first steps in this new journey, and he felt a profound sense of gratitude and hope for the future. The love he had yearned for in his previous life was now his to cherish, and he vowed to never take away for him.

"Madam, your baby was born, and he is a boy," the midwife said with a smile to the beautiful woman with snow-white hair. Hearing this, the woman held her breath for a moment, her heart swelling with joy and anticipation. She looked down at her baby boy and saw that he had inherited her snow-white hair and her husband's dark purple eyes.

Seeing this, the white-haired woman felt a surge of love and pride. She gently cradled her baby boy in her arms, her eyes filling with tears of happiness. She pressed soft kisses to his cheeks, each one a silent promise of love and protection. The baby cooed softly, and she felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for this precious gift.

As she showered her baby with kisses, she suddenly felt an overflow of mana from outside the door. The surge of energy was powerful and unmistakable. She paused, her heart skipping a beat, and she knew instantly that it was her husband. His mana was filled with worry and concern for her.

She looked towards the door, her eyes softening with understanding. Despite his fearsome reputation as the "Black Demon," in this moment, he was just a husband, anxious about his wife and newborn child. The connection between them was strong, and she could feel his love and protectiveness even from a distance.

With a gentle smile, she whispered to her baby, "Your father is here, and he loves us very much." The warmth of her words seemed to soothe the baby, who cooed softly in response.

Her thoughts drifted to the countless battles her husband had fought, the scars he bore both seen and unseen. She knew how much he had sacrificed, how many nights he had spent away from home, fighting to protect their land and their people. Yet, despite all the bloodshed and the horrors of war, he had always found his way back to her, his love unwavering.

The mana she felt now was different from the fierce energy he wielded in battle. It was tender, filled with a desperate need to be by her side, to ensure she was safe and well. She could almost see him pacing outside the door, his heart racing with the same mix of fear and hope that she felt.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she thought about the life they had created together. This tiny, precious being in her arms was a testament to their love, a new beginning that held the promise of a brighter future. She kissed her baby's forehead, feeling a profound sense of gratitude for this moment.

The door creaked open, and she saw him standing there, his eyes wide with a mix of relief and awe. He took a hesitant step forward, his gaze locked on her and their child. She could see the tears glistening in his eyes, the raw emotion that he rarely allowed himself to show.

"Come," she whispered, her voice trembling with emotion. "Meet our son."

He crossed the room in a few quick strides, his hands shaking as he reached out to touch the baby. The moment his fingers brushed against the tiny hand, the baby grasped his finger tightly, and a sob escaped his lips. He sank to his knees beside the bed, his head bowed as he wept tears of joy and relief.

She placed a hand on his shoulder, her own tears falling freely. "We did it," she said softly. "We're a family."
