Luna was visibly distraught. She had to leave her father and mother behind. I understood her pain all too well, but there was nothing we could do.
The demon summoned by the shaman was simply too powerful. We didn't have the strength to win that fight, and our only option was to flee.
"Do you think they'll be alright?" Luna asked, her voice trembling.
"I believe so," I said, trying to comfort her. "Your parents are strong."
Julie seemed the calmest among us. Although she was born in the village, she had left long ago. She spent years studying magic at a school in the grand capital.
"Where do we go now?" Luna asked, her voice filled with uncertainty.
"I don't know," I admitted. "We have nothing, no direction, and most importantly, no money."
The situation was far from ideal. We didn't have the funds to do anything, and money was essential. So the first thing we needed to do was find a place to stay and a way to earn some money.
