Capone and Sophia rushed to the police station where Tiana worked. Both she and Mandy were giving statements to the officers.
They were nearly hit by a car that suddenly sped toward them while they were dropping Jimmy off near his school.
Mandy had mentioned over the phone that Tiana had suffered minor injuries and was not in serious danger, but the news still left Sophia deeply shaken.
Capone asked Mandy, "Why are you here and not at the hospital?"
Mandy glanced at Tiana, who was sitting beside her, and said, "She insisted on coming here to file a report first. The car that caused the incident fled the scene. The sooner they investigate, the better chance they have of catching them."
Sophia noticed that Tiana's sleeve was torn, and there were red abrasions running from her palm to the inside of her wrist.
"Sis, why didn't you go to the hospital? Are you seriously hurt? Does it hurt anywhere?"
