Chapter 146 - 146 On-Site Riot: Ye Chen Raided

Ye Chen stood unfazed, ignoring the four furious individuals surrounding him. They raised their arms, shouting and celebrating this extraordinary victory, their voices rising in unison with the entire audience. The atmosphere was electrifying, with everyone chanting Ye Chen's name—synchronized and harmonious, as if they had rehearsed this moment together.

Suddenly, it was clear that everyone anticipated another intense showdown. Yet, in a shocking turn of events, before anyone could fully comprehend what was happening, the match concluded once again. The trio in the commentary booth peered intently at the monitor, their eyes wide with astonishment as they witnessed the sheer ferocity of the recent blow. Nerves tingling, they all simultaneously glanced towards Covington, who lay flattened by He Bo's relentless assault.

Rogan exclaimed, "Oh... incredible! This is madness! Covington has been knocked out cold. In a mere ten seconds, it's over! He's never experienced such a devastating defeat in his entire career. He's completely out of it." His eyes widened as he observed Ye Chen's fists, which had struck like twin sledgehammers, shattering all of Covington's defenses.

DC shrugged his shoulders in disbelief, his hands spreading wide as he struggled to process the whirlwind of events. "Ye Chen has proven himself once again. With his immense strength, he's finished off the black-and-white king right in the center of the cage, and now Covington is unconscious." He acknowledged Ye Chen's pre-fight confidence, recalling how he had boldly claimed he would dominate Covington. Once again, Ye Chen upheld his promise to boxing enthusiasts worldwide.

Bisping shook his head in astonishment, still grappling with the reality of what he'd just witnessed. "This is unreal. Those punches were absolutely brutal. Colby might as well have faced a freight train." The astonishment in the air was palpable, shared by not just the commentary team but also the spectators surrounding the cage, who were left in stunned silence.

Then, it was the voice of Catwoman screaming in alarm that broke the spell, snapping everyone back to attention. The crowd roared with excitement yet again, the ringing cheers turning into a chaotic uproar. Completely unfazed, Ye Chen stole one last glance at the unconscious Covington as he made his way toward the cage exit, knowing Catwoman was right there, bouncing with uncontainable glee near the cage.

Yet, the moment Ye Chen had his focus on the exit, he sensed something was amiss. Catwoman's excited celebration abruptly transformed into alarm, her big eyes wide with anxiety and fear. She was shouting something, but amidst the cacophony, the meaning was lost. Despite the chaos, her body language sparked instinctual concern within Ye Chen, prompting him to turn around.

To his horror, he spotted a dark figure darting towards him. There was no time to escape or strategize. Suddenly—"whap!"—a heavy fist connected with his cheek. The force of the blow staggered him, and he instinctively raised his arms to shield his head, only to receive another powerful punch that landed squarely on the back of his head.

This wasn't how Ye Chen pictured a victorious moment. He didn't possess any supernatural senses to perceive threats from behind. With no eyes in the back of his head, he had become an easy target. The surprise attacks left him slightly dazed, particularly the one to the back of his head which provided a disorienting fog in his mind. It quickly dawned on him that it was undoubtedly Covington's team that sought to cause trouble.

As he struggled to regain his bearings, he noticed Catwoman desperately racing towards him. His instinct propelled him to act. Suddenly, another force collided against his back, likely a knee aimed to incapacitate him. Rage surged anew, displacing any hesitation. Ye Chen turned, slamming his elbow backward, attempting to guard himself while simultaneously working to create distance from his assailants.

Although combat strategy would dictate retreating and creating space, his protective instincts kicked in; he could not allow harm to come to Catwoman amid the turmoil. With a fierce elbow strike, he made contact—he couldn't tell exactly where, but it landed amid the melee. In that moment of chaos, Ye Chen received yet another swing aimed at him, this time narrowly missing its mark.

Taking a moment to compose himself, he finally registered the figure before him—a muscular man sporting a golden beard, blood streaming from his temple likely owing to Ye Chen's earlier elbow. In the world of competitive fighting, virtue was scarce; violent altercations were routine, particularly among those deeply entrenched in such battles.

With his temper flaring, the bearded man shouted, his fury evident as he wiped his hands and saw the blood—an unavoidable provocation. He charged toward Ye Chen with reckless aggression, fists flying. Fortunately, Hebo was already on the scene, having noticed the scuffle. Although he once mingled in these brawls during his youth, age had made him wise enough to intervene before things escalated dangerously.

Ye Chen swiftly evaded the man's attack, only to spot three of Covington's crew closing in on him. "Annie, get away!" he shouted, his voice strained as he grappled with the golden-bearded assailant. He wrapped his left arm around the man's head and powered a knee strike directly into his face. With a surge of determination, he shoved the man aside, understanding the urgency of creating space in this chaotic encounter.

Realizing he was outnumbered and needing room to maneuver, he pressed forward—one wrong move could spell disaster. As he shoved the man away, the sight of another swinging punch came at him from a teammate. Ye Chen reacted instinctively, distributing his weight and timing his movements amidst the escalating melee.

In dire need to evade the encroaching threats, he awkwardly navigated while attempting to maintain his balance. Suddenly, Covington's head coach aimed a kick right at him, which he couldn't dodge as he got tangled up in a grappling hold. He felt trapped at that moment, unable to fight back effectively, and mustered every ounce of energy to push forward, determined not to let the team drag him down.
