John's mind reeled as he tried to process what was happening. He had always felt like there was something missing, something he couldn't quite recall. And now, his reflection was hinting at a deeper truth.
"What do you mean?" John asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The reflection smiled again. "You'll see, John. You'll see soon enough. The Contractors are moving, and the Angels are closing in. You're the key to it all."
As the reflection finished speaking, the bathroom began to shake and tremble. John stumbled, catching himself on the sink as the world around him seemed to dissolve into chaos.
Meanwhile, the battle between the Contractors and Angels raged on, spilling out into the streets. Korax watched from the shadows, its eyes fixed on the Eye of Belial. The artifact was within its grasp, but the sudden arrival of Angels had complicated things.
Arachne, the weaver of dark magic, cackled with glee. "The threads of fate are entwining, my friends. The stage is set for the final act."
And in the midst of the chaos, John's reflection whispered a final message: "Remember, John. You are the catalyst. The fate of the world rests in your hands.
The battle between the Angels and Contractors raged on, with both sides trading blows and neither gaining the upper hand. The Contractors, fueled by their demonic energy, seemed to be gaining ground, but the Angels' divine power kept them at bay.
Korax, watching from the shadows, saw an opportunity to strike. It signaled to Arachne, who began to weave a dark spell. The air around the Angels began to distort, as if reality itself was bending to the Contractors' will.
The Angels, sensing the trap, tried to retreat, but it was too late. The Contractors closed in, their demonic energy surging forward in a deadly wave. One of the Angels, a towering figure with wings like a swan, tried to hold back the tide, but it was no use.
In a flash of steel and shadow, the Contractors struck down the Angel, its wings crumbling to dust as it fell. But the victory came at a cost: Xandros, one of the Contractors, lay dying, its body torn apart by the Angel's final blow.
The Contractors paused, their chests heaving with exhaustion, as they surveyed the carnage. Korax stepped forward, its eyes fixed on the Eye of Belial, which lay glinting in the distance.
"We have won the battle," Korax said, its voice dripping with malevolence. "But the war is far from over. We must claim the Eye and use its power to bring Lucifer forth."
Arachne cackled, its eyes gleaming with dark energy. "The threads of fate are indeed entwining. The stage is set for the final act."
As the Contractors began to move forward, the Angels' leader, a figure with wings like an eagle, rose to its feet. "We will not falter," it said, its voice like thunder. "We will stop you, no matter the cost."
But the Contractors just laughed, their demonic energy surging forward like a dark tide. The battle was far from over, and only time would tell who would emerge victorious.
Meanwhile, John, oblivious to the chaos unfolding outside, returned to bed, convinced that the strange conversation with his reflection was just a dream. But the reflection's final words lingered in his mind: "Remember, John. You are the catalyst. The fate of the world rests in your hands." Little did he know, his role in the unfolding drama was only just beginning.
The other Angel who had gotten away was severely injured and could die at any moment. He pulled out an orb and it began to glow then a voice echoed from it "Haniel, this is am emergency line. It seems you're in need of help brother. Fill me in".
"Lord Uriel, we followed the traces of dark energy and we got to a warehouse. The beings I'm this warehouse aren't normal Contractors. They seem to be high level Demons" Haniel said vaguely. He continued weakly "I'm afraid to say but I was only one who made it out alive, Zephon was slaughtered and I am gravely injured. This may be my last message".
"Brother, you have done well. And you shall be rewarded by the Lord. Fare well brother. Rest thy eye so that ye shall be at peace for I shall avenge thee". Said uriel and the orb lost its glow.
Haniel sat by a wall bleeding furiously where he closed his eyes, took his last breath and his life force seized to exist .
