*Clang! Clang!*
Faintly, the sound of two more gas grenades being fired could be heard. Almost instantly, the street was filled with a thick cloud of irritating white gas. The gas spread rapidly, and in no time, it started seeping into Rosh's Devil Fruit shop.
Shaking his head helplessly, Rosh walked over to shut all the doors and windows, hoping to slow the gas's intrusion. Yet, even with everything shut, there were still small gaps, and wisps of the irritating gas still made their way inside.
"Cough, cough." Rosh couldn't help but cough as the gas hit his throat. Fortunately, he quickly shifted into his elemental form, freeing himself from the limitations of a physical body and allowing him to stand unharmed in the midst of the gas.
"Roar!"
Suddenly, a thunderous roar echoed from outside, like a beast bellowing from the depths of the earth, shaking the very windows and doors of the shop. The intensity of the sound wave was palpable. That roar was deafening.
Rosh immediately realized what was happening. 'Hulk had arrived!'
*Boom! Boom! Boom!*
The ground trembled as if an enormous hammer was relentlessly pounding it. The noise was apocalyptic, an overwhelming force wreaking havoc.
There was no doubt—the furious Hulk was now smashing everything in his path.
*Ratatatatat!*
Amidst the thunderous destruction, the relentless sound of gunfire continued, as bullets sprayed across the street and ricocheted off Hulk's green, impenetrable skin. The soldiers' weapons could do nothing but fuel the monster's rage.
"Roar!"
With another furious roar, Hulk leaped dozens of meters into the air, crashing into the ground with enough force to leave a massive crater. He landed in front of an M54 tactical assault vehicle, where a soldier was gripping a Gatling gun, desperately unloading bullets into Hulk.
In the next moment, Hulk's fist came crashing down, smashing the front of the assault vehicle flat. The soldier was instantly pulverized, his body reduced to nothing but a bloody mess. The unfortunate soldier didn't stand a chance.
"Roar!"
But Hulk wasn't finished. He barreled into the vehicle with a powerful charge, sending it flipping through the air.
*Boom!*
It crashed into another assault vehicle, flipping that one over too, and crushing the soldiers manning it. As Hulk continued his rampage, General Ross's face darkened, looking as though he had just swallowed something sour.
"General, we can't keep this up! Our firepower isn't enough!" one of his trusted subordinates called out in a grave tone.
"Let me at him, General! Only I can stop him!" Ross turned to look at Emil Blonsky, who was locked inside the transport vehicle.
"This is why you brought me, right?" Blonsky grinned. "I'm ready."
Ross knew that he had little choice. The only way to fight a monster was with another monster.
"Blonsky, the last time I let you loose, you caused me plenty of trouble," Ross growled as he looked down at him.
"I know, but not this time! I promise. We've already made a deal, haven't we?" Blonsky smirked confidently. "Besides, I have no intention of being locked up in that hellhole again."
"You'd better mean it. I didn't get you out to create more problems. If you don't want to return to that cell, behave. And remember your family. Think about them." Ross's eyes narrowed, but after a brief pause, he gestured to his subordinate, who quickly unlocked the vehicle's door.
Blonsky leaped out and stretched his limbs before striding toward the chaos.
"Hey, big guy! Remember me?" Blonsky taunted as he spread his arms wide, shouting at Hulk.
"Cease fire! Stop shooting!" Ross's voice cut through the battlefield, and the soldiers immediately ceased their fire, leaving Blonsky standing alone in front of Hulk.
The two monsters locked eyes.
*Boom! Boom! Boom!*
Hulk charged at Blonsky with a furious roar, throwing a punch with the force of a wrecking ball.
*Smack!*
The punch, however, was met by another equally powerful fist. Blonsky had transformed into the Abomination.
The battle between Hulk and Abomination exploded into a close-quarters brawl, each blow from the two titans echoing through the streets as they clashed like two juggernauts. Buildings crumbled, and debris flew as they tore through everything in their path.
Inside the shop, Rosh was growing increasingly concerned. The gunfire had stopped, but the fight was still raging. "It sounds like there are two monsters out there…"
It didn't take him long to realize that the Abomination had entered the fray. This was going to be a long and destructive fight.
'Could they at least take their fight somewhere else?' Rosh didn't want to renovate his shop so soon after its opening. But no matter how he wished it would go, reality didn't bend to Rosh's will. His Devil Fruit shop was right in the middle of Hulk and Abomination's battleground.
As the chaos unfolded, the battle between Hulk and Abomination moved dangerously close to Rosh's shop. Other storefronts nearby had already been leveled in the wake of their destruction. Rosh's shop, unfortunately, was next.
*Crash!*
In the heat of the battle, Abomination hurled a car at Hulk, sending him flying into Rosh's shop. Hulk crashed through the door, smashing it to pieces as he was flung inside.
Rosh could only groan inwardly at his misfortune.
But what made things worse was that Hulk, dazed from the hit, shook his head before standing up. His eyes fell upon Rosh, and, driven purely by instinct, Hulk roared again and charged at him.
There was no avoiding it now. Rosh sighed to himself before lifting his foot.
"Light-Speed Kick!"
