*Zzzing!*
A blazing light flashed as Rosh's leg kicked out at light speed. The Hulk didn't even have time to react before he took a heavy hit.
*Boom!*
An intense burst of energy erupted as the Hulk's body flew out of the shop like a cannonball, crashing hard into the ground outside.
"No wonder the Glint-Glint Fruit, wielded by Admiral Kizaru, is so powerful!" Rosh smirked as he lowered his leg, clearly pleased. This wasn't just a practice run; it was his first real battle. And to think his debut kick was so astonishing—it even sent the Hulk flying. He was extremely pleased with the outcome.
Of course, Rosh knew this action would now fully expose him to the military's radar. That much was inevitable. Since Bruce, a wanted fugitive, had appeared in his shop, there was no avoiding the attention. But Rosh wasn't too concerned. His strength had grown significantly, and the situation no longer worried him.
"What the hell?" Outside, General Ross's eyes widened as if he'd just witnessed the impossible.
'Hulk had been blown away by some unseen force? How was that even possible?' He had hunted the Hulk for years, fought him countless times, and studied him extensively. Ross, who had a hand in the Hulk's creation, knew the beast's strength better than anyone. Yet, the Hulk had just been knocked away by some unknown force.
Ross instinctively turned his gaze towards the direction the Hulk had been blasted from. There, a sign caught his eye: *Devil Fruit Shop*
'So, it was this place!' He had suspected there was more to Bruce's decision to sneak back to New York and visit such an unassuming shop despite being a wanted man. Ross had already made a mental note to investigate the shop once this was over. It seemed his hunch had been correct.
"What the hell just happened?" Even Abomination was stunned, momentarily frozen by the unexpected turn of events. Who could possibly have the power to knock the Hulk flying?
"Roar!"
A beastly roar erupted as Hulk struggled back to his feet. Staring towards the Devil Fruit shop, he let out another enraged howl, and then, he charged toward the shop once again.
Abomination was about to chase after him when General Ross shouted, "Blonsky, hold your position!"
Ross wanted to see for himself—who or what exactly in that shop had managed to repel the Hulk.
"Damn that fucker!" Rosh muttered as he watched from inside. It seemed Ross intended to use the Hulk to deal with him.
In an instant, Rosh transformed into light and shot out of the store, soaring above Ross and his troops. With a blinding flash, Rosh flared out a brilliant burst of light. The intense brightness blinded Ross and his soldiers, leaving them dazed and disoriented.
Seizing the moment, Rosh landed beside Ross, firing a photon bullet at the Hulk before disappearing into light once more.
*Zzzing!*
In the middle of his charge, the Hulk was suddenly struck by a sneak attack. Roaring in rage, he turned in the direction of the attack and headed towards Ross and his men.
*Boom! Boom! Boom!*
Suddenly, Hulk roared and charged at Ross's forces, pummeling the soldiers mercilessly. Screams of agony filled the air as Hulk smashed through them like a bulldozer, swatting away bodies like flies.
"What's happening? Where did that flash come from?" By the time Ross managed to blink away the blindness, Hulk was already upon him.
"Shit," Ross muttered under his breath, his face going pale.
*Boom!*
The next moment, Hulk's enormous fists crashed like twin boulders, slamming into Ross's body. Blood sprayed everywhere as Ross was reduced to a bloody pulp, smashed into nothing but a pile of meat.
"General Ross!"
"The general's dead!"
"General!"
Cries of despair erupted as Ross's subordinates watched in horror, unable to process the gruesome reality that their leader had been smashed to death by Hulk. But there was no time to grieve. Hulk was already coming after them again, his massive fists swinging furiously, driven by an unstoppable rage.
Back inside the Devil Fruit shop, Rosh scratched his nose, feeling a bit bewildered by the turn of events. "So General Ross really got smashed to death by the Hulk?"
Ross, who was supposed to live long enough to become Secretary of State, had met a gruesome end because he had the audacity to try and plot against Rosh.
'Hah! serves him right.'
Rosh hadn't intended to kill Ross—he was merely using the general's own tactics against him. But who would've guessed the Hulk would be so effective and smash Ross to death so quickly.
Though surprised, Rosh didn't dwell on it. After all, he had previously demonstrated the abilities of the Glint-Glint Fruit to a select few. Now, with the incident involving Ross's death following a flash of golden light, it was only a matter of time before Rosh became entangled in the fallout.
But with his current level of strength, Rosh wasn't worried. He could become light itself! At least within the U.S. military, no one could catch or harm him.
He could always unleash a few Yasakani no Magatama attacks and destroy an entire carrier fleet if things escalated. Surely, that would be enough to scare the authorities into backing off.
