Getting to Alicia's house was very difficult for Alexis. He had to follow a route entirely different from what he was used to when going home from school. Things would have been easier if he were brave enough to ask for directions, but he didn't really trust the hearts of strangers to help a stranded, defenseless fourteen-year-old boy who was all alone and trying to find his way.
In the end, he had to use his phone's Google Maps to find Alicia's estate, which left him stunned when he saw it. Even from a small distance away, he could see a collection of huge, fancy houses—the kind one would only see in cartoons. Even the smallest houses were much bigger than the place he and his mom lived in.
