Chapter 243 - Chapter 241: Copy the Witch's Magic

The witch stood tall, draped in a green dress made of cloth strips and metal, her head adorned with a peacock-like headdress. Behind her, a glowing blue magical energy swirled—its purpose unclear, but clearly of vital importance to her.

By now, the witch had likely fused with June Moone completely. In her earlier god-like form, though scantily clad, she had a grotesque, sinister aura. But now, despite her malevolent power, she appeared almost breathtakingly beautiful.

"Do you really think you can stop me?" the witch asked warily, eyes locked on Su Sheng.

Su Sheng chuckled. "That big guy out there—he's your brother, right? You sent him after the Suicide Squad because you think no one can stand in your way?"

"Afraid of you? I've regained all my powers. It's time humans remember how they used to worship me as their god." The witch sneered, raising her arms gracefully.

In an instant, Su Sheng felt a strange force envelope him, trying to distort his perception.

Hallucinogenic magic.

It wasn't psychic manipulation, but an ancient, mystical power. Next to him, Harley Quinn suddenly froze, her eyes glazing over as the spell took hold. She found herself transported back to a cozy apartment in Gotham, where she and Su Sheng lived a quiet, happy life together. There was no chaos, no battles, just love and marriage.

Just as Harley was about to surrender to this idyllic vision, everything vanished.

"Huh, that's it? I was just getting into it!" Harley complained, clearly disappointed.

"If you want to relive it, I can arrange that," Su Sheng teased, looking down at the witch who had now collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain.

"You... how... how is this possible?" the witch gasped, convulsing as she felt her own hallucinogenic magic rebound against her, but now stronger and more potent.

Su Sheng grinned. "Oh, I just copied your little trick."

When the witch first cast her spell, Su Sheng had immediately copied her magic. As the only magic-based ability he had acquired so far, it was fascinating to him. In the comics, the witch's powers were formidable—strong enough to challenge Superman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg. She had even battled the Justice League Dark, led by Constantine, who struggled to suppress her evil persona. She was certainly among the more dangerous magical entities in the DC universe.

Step by step, Su Sheng walked toward the witch, his hands outstretched. He could feel the magic coursing through him now, intertwining with the witch's energy.

The witch, realizing the danger she was in, suddenly vanished in a puff of smoke, filling the room with a thick, impenetrable fog.

"Ah, I can't see! Where are you, my dear?" Harley called out, her voice echoing in the dense mist.

Su Sheng chuckled and, with a simple wave of his hand, dispelled the fog with the same magic.

"Huh? Did she run away?" Harley asked, looking around.

Boom!

A puff of smoke appeared behind Su Sheng, and the witch re-emerged, reaching for him—but her hand closed on nothing but air.

"What the—?" she gasped. Su Sheng had vanished as well. The witch looked around in confusion. How could Su Sheng be using her magic?

Suddenly, she felt a sharp smack on her rear.

Startled, she disappeared again in a cloud of smoke, reappearing farther away, her expression filled with shock and fury.

"You..."

"Whatever you can do, I can do better," Su Sheng quipped, vanishing into smoke once more.

The witch, now thoroughly unsettled, kept teleporting around the room. But every time she reappeared, Su Sheng was there, smacking her, just as the sound of Harley's laughter filled the air.

"Hahaha! This is hilarious! You're amazing, darling!" Harley cheered, watching Su Sheng and the witch pop in and out of existence like a magical game of tag. The witch had initially planned to outsmart Su Sheng and attack him, but now she was too busy teleporting just to avoid being slapped.

Finally, her anger boiled over.

With a sudden burst of magic, the witch appeared behind Harley Quinn and grabbed her by the neck. "Keep mocking me, and I'll—"

Before the witch could finish her threat, Harley slammed her head back into the witch's face, breaking her hold. With the witch momentarily stunned, Harley grabbed her arm, spun around, and slammed her into the ground.

"Yee-haw! Ride 'em, cowgirl!" Harley yelled, climbing on top of the witch and punching her repeatedly.

"You dare—!" the witch snarled, disappearing again, this time with Harley in tow.

The next moment, the two appeared high above the battlefield, suspended in the night sky. With a swift motion, the witch hurled Harley downward.

"Woooohoooo!" Harley screamed in delight. "Darling, catch me!"

Just as she began to fall, Su Sheng appeared beneath her, catching her effortlessly.

"Dear, she's no fun. Finish her off already," Harley pouted after they landed safely.

Su Sheng grinned and turned his gaze to the witch, who had retreated back into the horde of monsters below.

In the distance, two massive creatures were locked in a ferocious battle. One of them was the witch's resurrected brother, a hulking monster she had freed after betraying Amanda Waller. The other was Diablo, now fully transformed into his fiery demonic form. His entire body radiated intense heat, and he fought with the strength and fury of a creature from the underworld.

The battle was far from over.
