Chapter 239 - Chapter 237: Reunion - Crazy Harley Quinn

Amanda Waller's expression remained calm, as if Su Sheng's words didn't faze her. "What choice did I have when Batman brought in Harley Quinn? I knew about her connection with you, so I kept her in a separate cell and treated her well," she explained. "And..." She paused, wincing slightly as she forced a bitter smile through the pain. "She's a nuisance. After all, haven't I already paid the price for keeping her? You slapped me, and honestly, I'd prefer if you just took her off my hands."

Waller wasn't lying. While she hadn't abandoned thoughts of manipulating the situation, she genuinely didn't want to deal with Harley Quinn anymore. Harley's unique position in the Suicide Squad had become a liability, undermining Waller's authority.

Su Sheng sneered. "Nice try. You twist your words like a snake, pretending to be helpless. If she was such a burden, you wouldn't have agreed to let her join this mission. You know the Enchantress is powerful—more than enough to wipe out anyone who isn't as strong as me. If Harley dies, don't you fear I'll rain fury on you? On this entire city? You allowed her to join the squad to draw me here, hoping I'd deal with the Enchantress for you. You know very well that she's terrified of me!"

Amanda Waller didn't flinch, her voice steady. "If you don't believe me, there's nothing I can do."

Suddenly, a loud boom echoed from outside, and the once serene sunset turned dark as clouds gathered ominously. A blue energy beam shot across the sky, its power sucking up everything in its path.

"That's a Suicide Squad helicopter!" someone shouted, pointing to the distant aircraft now tumbling from the sky after being struck by lightning.

Su Sheng's gaze locked onto one of the helicopters. Inside, several people struggled to regain control. Among the chaos, one person wasn't panicking—in fact, she was laughing. It was Harley Quinn. Even in the midst of disaster, she seemed thrilled, her manic energy unshaken.

In the middle of the commotion, Harley Quinn suddenly turned her head, her eyes piercing through the chaos as if sensing Su Sheng's presence. Though separated by walls, distance, and confusion, Su Sheng felt an inexplicable connection—almost as though Harley could see him through it all.

Su Sheng smirked, realizing something. Harley Quinn, with all her quirks and craziness, had another ability—breaking the fourth wall. Despite lacking supernatural powers, she was unique in her own way.

"Hey guys, I'm jumping out of the plane!" Harley grinned, unbuckling her seatbelt.

"What are you doing?" someone yelled in panic. But Harley didn't care. She stumbled toward the cabin door, swinging as the helicopter shook, and without hesitation, flung the door open.

"She's insane!" one of the team members yelled. "She doesn't have a parachute! She's going to kill herself!"

But Harley didn't flinch. She jumped, arms spread wide, plummeting rapidly through the sky, her laughter carried away by the howling wind.

As she neared the ground, Harley closed her eyes, her smile unwavering. Just before impact, there was a sudden stop. Strong arms caught her mid-fall.

Harley's eyes fluttered open, and there he was—the face that had haunted her dreams. She smiled wide, her joy turning into uncontrollable laughter. Tears streamed down her face, mixing with the rain as she held onto Su Sheng.

"I finally found you!" she exclaimed, her laughter fading into soft sobs as she leapt from Su Sheng's arms to get a better look at him.

Su Sheng examined her carefully. She was wearing white high-top heels, tattered black fishnet stockings, and tiny red and blue shorts. Her shirt was a ripped crop top, matched with a red and blue jacket. Around her neck was a metal collar, and her hair was styled in her signature two-toned ponytails. Her makeup was smeared, but despite the tears and the rain, her smile remained bright.

Her wild, chaotic appearance only enhanced her strange charm.

Before Su Sheng could say anything, Harley suddenly pounced on him, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his waist. She kissed him with fierce passion, as if trying to devour him.

Su Sheng responded just as passionately, holding her tightly as the rain poured down around them.

In the distance, the wreckage of the helicopter exploded, sending a plume of fire into the sky. But Su Sheng and Harley were lost in their moment, soaked by the rain, oblivious to everything else.

Emerging from the wreckage, the members of the Suicide Squad stumbled through the rain, staring in disbelief at the couple kissing in the downpour.

"What the hell is going on?" Captain Boomerang asked, his face blank with confusion.

Deadshot squinted at the scene. "That's Su Sheng," he muttered.

"Who?" Boomerang asked, glancing over at him.

"A dangerous, unpredictable man," Deadshot replied. "When Gotham was under Bane's control, Su Sheng killed him with a single punch. Rumor has it Harley became the way she is because of him. No one knows where he came from or what he's really after. He does whatever he wants, with no concern for the consequences."

Boomerang's eyes widened in surprise. "That bad, huh?"

Deadshot nodded. "Do you know why Harley Quinn didn't get a bomb implanted in her neck like the rest of us?"

Boomerang shook his head.

"It's because of him," Deadshot said grimly.
