After Su Sheng copied the green kryptonite ability, he effortlessly dodged the metal men's attacks, leaping back as his eyes flashed with a strange red glow. When their gazes met his, the metal men's own eyes lit up with a similar crimson hue. Already vicious in appearance, the metal men seemed to grow even angrier.
"Which of you is stronger?" Su Sheng asked, smirking.
"I am!"
"Of course, it's me!"
The two metal figures responded simultaneously, then glared at each other, clearly irritated by their competition. Without warning, they turned their fury on each other, exchanging powerful blows in a heated brawl.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Their fists collided with the force of a storm, igniting an uncontrollable rage between them.
Su Sheng, uninterested in their mindless fight, jumped back to Lena Luthor's office.
"Now, give me a good explanation," Su Sheng said, walking over to the couch and sitting down, his gaze fixed on Lena.
Lena Luthor kept her calm as she responded. "You know I didn't do this. I have no reason to attack you, and even if I did, I wouldn't do it like this. Kryptonite? You're not even Kryptonian."
Su Sheng nodded in agreement. "I know you didn't set this up. But that doesn't mean you're off the hook."
Lena narrowed her eyes. "What do you want?"
"I want to see your mother," Su Sheng said casually.
Lena's expression faltered for a moment, her lips tightening before she forced a smile. "My mother? Why would you want to meet her?"
Su Sheng chuckled. "You know why. You're smart enough to figure it out. As a member of the Luthor family, you may take a different path from Lex, but you're no fool. You know exactly why I'm asking to see her."
He leaned back and added with a casual air, "I'll give you half an hour. If I don't see your mother by then, there'll be consequences—no one will be able to see her again."
Lena's face hardened as she weighed her options. Finally, she said, "I'll make the call."
"Go ahead." Su Sheng watched as she left the room, his attention drifting back to the fight outside.
The battle between the two metal men continued, their aggression growing more intense. Rainbow Raider's emotional manipulation powers had done their job, pushing the two combatants into a full-blown frenzy. The street below was a scene of chaos, with civilians long gone and the area around the two combatants reduced to rubble.
Boom!
A sonic boom echoed through the city as Supergirl arrived, landing near the fighting metal men. However, the proximity to kryptonite quickly weakened her, causing her to stagger.
Groaning in pain, Supergirl realized she was in no condition to intervene. Just as she was about to call the DEO for backup, a figure shot toward her at incredible speed, landing nearby.
Supergirl's eyes widened in disbelief. "Zod? No... that's impossible. He should be dead!"
The figure was indeed Zod Chao.
Despite the crippling effects of the kryptonite, Zod pushed forward with determination, enduring the pain as he charged toward the brawling metal men. His resolve impressed Supergirl—despite being weakened, Zod was still trying to fight.
Moments later, the Martian Manhunter arrived.
"Kryptonite? And Zod?" He recognized Zod instantly, his mind racing with the implications. Martian Manhunter had been on Earth long enough to know that Superman had once battled and killed Zod—yet here he was, alive.
But now wasn't the time for questions. Without hesitation, the Martian Manhunter focused on neutralizing the two metal men, while Zod finally succumbed to the kryptonite's effects and collapsed.
"What should we do?" Supergirl asked, her voice strained.
"Take them all back to the DEO," the Martian Manhunter replied.
With that, Supergirl and Martian Manhunter transported Zod Chao and the two metal men back to DEO headquarters.
Back in Lena Luthor's office, the half-hour passed quickly. The door swung open, revealing a tall, elegant woman. She walked in confidently, intending to greet Lena with a smile, but her daughter stepped aside, avoiding the gesture.
The woman, clearly Lillian Luthor, was momentarily caught off guard, her expression tinged with embarrassment. She composed herself quickly and turned to Su Sheng.
"You wanted to see me? What's this about?" Lillian asked, trying to maintain her composure.
"Lillian Luthor," Su Sheng murmured as he stood, walking toward her. His expression remained calm, though there was a sharp edge to his voice.
Without warning, he raised his hand and slapped her.
Slap!
The sound echoed in the room as Lillian staggered back, holding her cheek. Lena froze, stunned by the sudden violence against her mother. "What are you doing?!"
"Move," Su Sheng said coldly, his voice brooking no argument.
Lena glared at him. "I may hate her, but I won't just stand aside!"
Su Sheng smirked, activating his mind control ability. Lena's defiance melted away as she turned and obediently walked to the side.
"Daughter!" Lillian cried, staring at her in disbelief. Before she could react further, another slap hit her across the face.
Slap!
Enraged, Lillian pulled out a gun and fired at Su Sheng. The bullet struck his forehead and ricocheted off harmlessly with a metallic ding.
She fired again and again, but each shot bounced off him. Then Su Sheng raised his hand for another slap.
No matter how Lillian tried to dodge or shield herself, Su Sheng's slaps landed with precision, each one harsher than the last. Her face was soon swollen, her lips bleeding.
Finally, Su Sheng reached up and removed her earrings, smiling coldly. "If your brain's waterlogged, you might as well drown. This is just a warning. Next time, I'll make sure you vanish without a trace."
He leaned in slightly. "And don't think you can run. Even if you hide at the ends of the Earth, I'll find you. I have the means to track you no matter where you go."
Lillian stared up at him, fear flashing in her eyes.
"Now get out," Su Sheng ordered.
Lillian slowly stood up, silent and defeated, and left the office without looking back.
"Are you satisfied now?" Lena asked, her face dark with anger. Though she despised her mother and all that the Luthor name stood for, Su Sheng's actions disgusted her.
Su Sheng chuckled. "Don't act like you didn't know what this was about. Your mother's little stunt with the metal men? She wanted to test their strength while sabotaging your relationship with me. She's trying to stop you from fully controlling the company."
He grinned. "If I hadn't been prepared, what do you think would've happened back there? I would've been fine, but your body might have ended up a bloody mess."
